I purchased a house on Chase Farm just over a year ago. I was sold the house on the basis that an infant/junior school, a children's play park and a small selection of shops were to be built on the site. This was one of the main reasons I purchased the property as my daughter was due to have a baby. Within a few months of owning the house I was informed there would be no school or shops built. I feel very disappointed, cheated and mislead. I have also just been informed that an existing bus route, number 44, will now be diverted to run through the centre of the estate and will be operating from 5am until 11.30pm. A double decker bus will be passing by my house every 15-30 minutes throughout the day and night 6 days a week. The bus will also pass on 2 sides of the children's play park! This is not the tranquil setting that was sold to me in 2021. The value of my house will most likely be effected from the noise, pollution and infringement of privacy. I was not consulted prior to the bus route going ahead.... Read more

After problems with our kitchen spanning over 2 years today they were supposed to come yet again to fix the issue only to turn up to tell us they can’t do the job as they haven’t ordered the parts bearing in mind it was arranged weeks ago after approaching the NHBC! we’ve already had multiple failed fixes and appointments with no shows. I bought a new build in chase farm and lived in this house for three months. Now, actually only less than 5 percent of defect is fixed. Sent email to Laren and CS. Always no response more than two weeks. Dont buy the house there.... Read more

Love the house - however since moving in the customer care has been non existent. They apologise for the issue, book it in for repair then nobody turns up for the appointment and the sequence repeats. Our 'urgent' leaky shower has taken them more than 3 weeks to resolve, causing the wall, floor and carpet to be damaged and go mouldy. We have tried to arrange meetings to discuss our complaints but they aren't interested. If you are thinking of parting with large sums of money on a new house you might want to consider this.... Staff were very professional, helpful and knowledgeable. However, the prices are not that competitive. Any extras come at an unreasonable price, for example a simple outside tap is £150. Had to give up this option as a newbuilt house plus expensive extras didn't seem to be reasonable for the value.... Read more
