Our experience renting with Kelway Law was a nightmare. We spent months repeatedly reporting various hygiene and safety hazards and waiting for them to be fixed, including a huge hole in our bathroom floor (which we began proceedings with the council over), faulty radiators which left parts of our house (notably our kitchen) almost unusable in the winter, a faulty shower pump, black mould, and slugs and mice in the kitchen. They eventually sent someone out to fix the hole but were never interested in the rest, letting the landlord's house fall into disrepair because of their laziness and negligence.
I've never seen such a high staff turnover which made getting anything resolved a challenge because nobody ever knew anything about the property (and management were of course elusive).
Rent increases went against our contract, and our landlord routinely came over with no warning and Kelway Law did nothing to protect us from this, even instigating one of the times this happened by providing the landlord with incorrect information about us.
After we moved out, Kelway Law withheld all of our deposit for around five months (including the undisputed part), fortunately the Tenancy Deposit Scheme were able to support us in getting the undisputed part and much of the disputed part back too. Their claims to our deposit were largely linked to their negligence of the property in the three years we were there.
Honestly they are the worst letting agent I've ever come across and I would never consider selling or letting a home through them again. I suspect the owner knew this review was coming and I hope he takes it on board and significantly improves his offering, rather than continue fleecing good tenants and landlords who pay them for a service they don't receive.

We had used KL to sell our house in 2014, and chose the new house in Liphook by asking KL, what they had on their books, after an exhaustive search for a house and over 20 viewings, with other agents. We felt that we could trustJohn and Franco, from our previous experience.
And true to form they where extremely professional responsive and helpful throughout the process.

Kelway Law are true professionals and highly skilled at what they do. I would highly recommend them to friends and family - they pride themselves in looking after the whole process from start to finish and have a great team. From George and Charlie with the valuation and viewings to John and Jon with the sales progression. I cannot fault them, they looked after my sale attentively, always were available on the telephone and listened to my requests. Nothing was ever too much trouble. 10/10 from start to finish. A dreadful landlord.
Mould issues just painted over.
Waited months for a bath repair for only a bodge job to be done by the owner.
SSE burst in about unpaid energy bills which Kelway law handled - as per agreement.
Rubbish water pressure and warmth for showering.
Never again will we use them.

I have been renting a property for 4 or 5 years, the fear with some estate agents is will they get you sorted out if you have a problem. I can these guys always have. Even during the recent storm with people losing water and electricity, my washing machine broken down, they had me up and running again within a few days, even with that going on.

Irresponsible and dishonest… If I could rate Kelway Law & ALL of their staff as zero stars, I would. In brief, they are not to be trusted or relied upon. Having paid a deposit and my first months rent, I went to pick up my keys and to complete an inventory check. Firstly, the agent was over half an hour late, with no phone call to me. When he arrived, he had forgotten the paperwork. He rushed through the inventory check, casually mentioning that it needed cleaning and that cleaners would be “here tomorrow between 1 & 2”, without apologising or asking whether that was convenient. All of the above, I could have written off as typical estate agent behaviour. However, halfway through the inventory check-in, we went into the bathroom, where he announced that “oh yeah, the waste (eg excrement etc) from upstairs’ toilet comes into yours. It was put in wrong and would be really expensive and a pain to sort out, so they probably won’t”. I was staggered. When I asked why I hadn’t been informed of this when i viewed the property, he said “well, the girl probably didn’t know”. He then left me with the keys and went on his way. Fast forward a couple of hours, and I’d had a chance to process the situation. I called the agent to explain that I wouldn’t move into a property that had, essentially, a large Public Health issue. His response: “well, I appreciate it’s not ideal.”. When I asked him what he was going to do, he said he’d “try to ring a plumber”. I then called the council and their Environmental Health Officer was appalled, marking it as an urgent matter. I received no more communication from the agent, despite calling and leaving messages. I had hired transport to move, had all of my belongings packed into that transport, and had taken time off work. I then had to unpack everything so I could return the transport. Thankfully, I was living with relatives, so could move back in. Since that day (4 weeks ago now), the agent has repeatedly ignored emails from me, and when he has responded, it has been with platitudes and untruths: he says that they weren’t aware of the issue, which is simply not true! I am now beginning legal action. PLEASE think very carefully before using Kelway Law - I am appalled at the way they have handled this.
