My first impression, after meeting with several agents, was that I would go with Key. Unfortunately I allowed my self to be talked into going with another agent, and after over 8 weeks with no sales I asked Key if I could list with them as well. In a matter of days they had my first sale, and have since sold the other 2 houses as well. Everyone I speak to is friendly and helpful, and each one seems to know about my houses no matter who picks up the phone. Communication is excellent, with proper notification of viewings etc, and a regular update of the sale progression, Their professionalism continues through every part of the sale. I don't really bother writing reviews because of my time constraints but I felt obliged to in this instance because I have been a landlord for many years and have dealt with a plethora of estate agents in the past. I can say with the upmost certainty that Key Estate agents are the most professional and courteous I have had the pleasure in dealing with. For the sale of my house they kept me informed at every stage, they chased up both solicitors and phoned me every few days with an update on the situation, without being chased up by me...which is usually the case with other agents! Their proactive and professional approach has left me feeling like decent estate agents do actually exist out there who care and have the personal touch. I would like to mention Veronica who dealt with my case and how friendly and decent she was in dealing with the whole process. Well what can I say, a superb professional team who gave a genuine personal interest in the sale of our home, striving to obtain the best market price possible. We recently sold our property with Key and they couldn't have been more helpful. We never felt like they were simply fulfilling a duty because they were receiving payment. All the members of staff we encountered throughout the process, made us feel comfortable and gave a very personal experience. We were kept in the loop about any developments and given feedback very quickly after viewings. Helpful and useful advice was given and in some instances (due to issues outside of their control) they went above and beyond to help us out. We could not recommend the staff and our experience enough to anyone else looking at selling their property. Our experience as perspective buyers has also been excellent, and although we haven't found a suitable property yet we will still be using Key to continue our property search. I had the displeasure of dealing with this company recently and was shocked at how many hidden charges come out of the woodworks during a purchase process. Once they have you in their hooks these guys will charge you for every tiny little thing at extortionate prices, and will even charge you an admin fee if you find part of their service cheaper elsewhere. When I complained about the lack of value for money IW as simply told go elsewhere, forfeiting any expenditure that had already been paid. Avoid like the plague, there are more self-respectable companies out there that do the job honestly and will be upfront and reasonable with their charges.... Read more
