Would give 0 if I could. Been to two viewings, and both apartment blocks had scaffolding all over them - this was never mentioned in the property listing, on the phone or via email. There was no knowledge of when this scaffolding would be taken down. There was no knowledge on the council tax band. Absolutely should be illegal to advertise a building as though it has no scaffolding on - scaffolding stops the balcony’s/ windows from being in use & makes the apartment smell horrendous. Me and a friend travelled for over 2 hours, spent over £30 on 2 separate occasions for viewings and both times it has been a massive disappointment. Do better.... Read more

Barney handled our sale, which turned out to be quite a protracted affair, despite the sale being secured the day the property was listed. The solicitors on both sides made life difficult by failing to communicate well, repeatedly asking for answers to questions already answered and generally taking far too long to complete their part of the transaction. Barney kept in touch, keeping us up to date, chasing the solicitors and generally working hard to get the early completion date that both we and our purchaser were looking for. Let's Rent Southampton managed my property for over 6 years, whilst I worked away overseas from the UK. I have felt that John Sibbons has always looked after my home as if it were his own. I was always consulted before being met with any unexpected bills or expenditures, provided with a full set of accounts each year to submit to HMRC, and I had the confidence and trust in the Tenants that were selected by John to rent my home. John would take the time call me, to offer his professional advice on any issues that arose, often providing a solution at the same time. I was clearing out my inbox when I came across an email from you suggesting I write a review. I was a tenant back in 2016 but I can never forget how you sent me a £300 cleaning bill after telling me how immaculate the house was only a few days earlier for a viewing - and I hadn't even started cleaning as I did when the furniture was later moved out. You zoomed in on a bread crumb left when I lifted the microwave and a shadow of the tree outside on my living room to make a case with the DPS that there were stains on the carpet and the house was unclean. Really? Stains on the carpet of the immaculate house? You needed to zoom in on a bread crumb and cleaning that costs £300? I shouldn't have listened to you to just leave the keys inside, and instead should have been there and sorted check out in person, so fake pics may not be taken. You couldn't meet me at the time convenient to me and I didn't think I shouldn't trust you. It may have been years ago but I can never forget what you did to me - you clearly have a thing going with some 'cleaning' company to send me that kind of bill for a thoroughly clean house. Perhaps if I have time I should have this investigated again...I wish I wasn't reminded of this experience though. Hope it was worth it Ben. Best Meron.... Read more

Such an awful service we received using let’s rent. Had so many issues that was never resolved fully. Got messed around constantly promised call backs never happens. Barny was extremely rude and had the most awful customer service. The entire company I felt was a shambles and complete disaster to deal with. Made the entire process stressful when it never needed to be! Was left in a house with our daughter with no cooker for over a week and no heating for over another week. Several issues with the house with being promised repairs before moving in and nothing was sorted. Repair engineer was then left to deal with us as Let’s Rent “had no time” I took days of work to be around for people to come never showed no call back. Would never use them again and have warned so many people of them........ Read more

I first met Ben at Lets Rent around 2009, when a friend recommended him to find me a tenant for my flat. I've been with him and his team ever since. They are friendly, efficient and nothing seems to be too much trouble. On several occasions they've gone above and beyond expectations. Even my tenants commented on how good they are. In October 20017 I decided to sell the flat and asked them to sell it for me under their 'Let's Sell' brand. Again they have gone above and beyond and the sale completed easily with the minimum of fuss. Their rates were very fair and I whole heartedly recommend them to anyone from buyers to landlords.... We were very happy with the service Barney and Lets Rent provided to purchase a property. There was problems with both sides solicitors throughout the whole process but I can say that Lets rent did everything they could to resolve the issues and helped me constantly chase up the solicitors. (Just a note the solicitors were not recommended by lets rent) I would 100% be contacting lets rent when it is time to sell or purchase another property. Even little things like meeting us on a Friday evening to let us look round the property for a second time was no trouble for them.
