Rented with them for 2 years and it was a positive experience. Ken, Andy, Lynn, and Joyce were all nice and helpful and were able to resolve any issues that came up. Lionsgate Property are quite possibly THE worst letting agent I have ever dealt with and I've used a lot of letting agents in my time They are very proactive and friendly until you sign your name on the dotted line - once they have your signature they couldn't care less about you and put in as little effort as possible.
The worst thing about this letting agency is trying to get your deposit back, it took us roughly 3 months after moving out. They are extremely dishonest in their checkout reports and attempt to charge extortionate amounts for "repairs" and "decorating", of our £2,091 deposit they tried to claim £1,424! We had to file a dispute with the DPS and in the end the DPS went in our favour and we managed to get back £1,641, but even still... the agent got away with £450 for things that definitely did not warrant that much money.
To any future tenants reading this, when it comes to moving make sure you do your own check-out report as Lionsgate Property will plant things in your flat to make it look as if you left things behind and then charge you for cleaning costs! They planted a kitchen knife and a crate of Stella Artois in our flat when we moved out, and we don't even drink Stella, absolute joke!... Read more

Lionsgate were terrible at communication, never answering the phone, we looked to extend the lease period and looked for a reduction in rent, but were told no. Since leaving the property they were dishonest with releasing the deposit, tried to over charge for the checkout and had to be chased everyday, together with raising a case with the DPS. They aren’t to be trusted and I can’t really see that they have either the tenants or the landlords best interest in hand.... Read more

Horrendous experience renting via this agency. They push hard for you to pay a deposit and sign the lease but as soon as you do, they couldn't care less. We have been left to sort out multiple maintenance issues directly with the management company. Not once did the agents bother to help sort things out. Moreover, they were supposed to reimburse us for certain items of furniture the landlord agreed to pay for. It has now been 6 weeks and they refuse to release the funds.... Read more

Terrible experience.
They are very nice and proactive UNTIL you sign the lease with them - good luck with getting them to do anything after that - waited for 3 months for them to hang the curtains in our living room, in the end had to do it myself after multiple calls an emails promising for someone to come do that. That's also not counting the fact that we were mislead about what the property is going to be equipped with.
Now waiting for 2 months for my deposit despite leaving property in perfect condition (confirmed by check-out clerk). They also tried to charge me for some unpaid bill which was not mine and which did not even state property address or any other information to identify the responsible party. Will likely have to resort to opening a dispute with them and going through a legal process.
Avoid like plague. Absolutely horrendous customer service.... Read more
