After showing interest in an apartment in Snaresbrook and arranging a viewing by phone, I received an email confirming the address and time for the viewing. As it turned out, I was given the wrong postcode and therefore arrived at the wrong address, a 20 minute walk away from where the property was actually located. I received a call from Du Preez Botha who asked me where I was and, after explaining to him that he had indeed given me the wrong postcode he said "well I had the same postcode as you and have never been here before myself and I've managed to find it". Although I should have checked the name of the road itself as well as the postcode, I did only use the postcode as I was using my google maps app. Estate agents are by nature rather arrogant people who know the rental market well, they have a lot of interest in each property. Having said this, if a mistake is made on one's part, one should accept this, not blame the client. He did apologise, although this didn't feel too sincere. I also work in a very busy office where I am responsible for providing addresses to clients. So a word of advice from me would be to: A. double check both the number / name and street name and B. make sure the postcode provided to a potential client matches the address. In this way the time wasted for both parties will be avoided.
I have to say a big thank you to Karen and Luke at Bairstow Eves Stratford for ensuring we had a swift and pleasant move into our new property.

I would like to raise a complaint as my dealings with this company have been terrible from start to finish.
It took over a week and countless chasers to receive some simple answers to questions regarding a property, once we over came this hurdle and arranged a viewing Cecilia Urban had the audacity to leave me waiting in the rain forgetting about the appointment all together?!
This is just not the way to do business.
If your staff are to busy hire more? Don't allow for your customer service to fall off a cliff.
If your staff can't tell the time teach them?

I'm a huge fan!! Love the bargains and enjoy the team across the whole site - especially the cash office! - who offer a friendly and speedy service.
BUYER BEWARE should be in bold, highlighted and then underlined ! Having rung them the day before the auction was to end, they confirmed to me that the Microsoft software which i was intending to bid on, was indeed unactivated and unregistered......... End result was that i ended up with £550 of useless registered / Activated software ( confirmed by Microsoft themselves ).... Having made several phone calls to John Pye explaining the situation, i was told repeatedly that a manager would contact me back............Waiting.........Still Waiting........ Get the Picture !
Elliot from Ernest was brilliant. They sold my flat within 4 weeks, it was on the market for several months before that with two other agents. The fee was a fair for the service at the start I thought a bit High but the company earns it! Couldn’t recommend these company more! Thank you!

Update 12/6/19: no, let’s stick with the usual image we all have of estate agents. These ones here blatantly will advertise Shared Ownership properties at only the 60% share price - and not tell you that that is the case until a mortgage broker confronts the staff with the naked truth.
And even then, they continue the deception and continue to advertise online, through text messages and in their shop windows a partial price only: see as an example below how they advertise a £448,000 property. Avoid.
