If you want to be robbed in broad daylight this is the best agency to go to. Only problems with this agency. They lie about their properties, tell you its double glazed (after asking 3 times) and after reserving it, turns out it isn't double glazed but oh well it's reserved now so not their issue anymore. Then let us move in into a place that was so dirty it was not habitable. I had to leave the apartment again so it could be cleaned a second time (only cleaned because we spoke with Julian and he went to the property to see with his own eyes the unacceptable state the property was in). Unfortunately still not really clean and we send them pictures as proof after the second clean. Agreed in written that if we would leave the apartment in no worse state then how we moved in they wouldn't ask for a cleaning fee. You guessed it they of course wanted a cleaning fee. We even replaced the washing machine at our own costs and left it there. I would have gone through lawyers but as we were moving and needed the money we agreed to get part of our deposit back. The landlord himself was great but he has also been taken the mick out of by Martin & Co and is also out of pocket due to their mistakes and not doing regular checks on tenants. If you can avoid, please avoid!... Read more

We applied for a rented property with Martin & Co and initially faced some hurdles with our tenancy agreement. Bonnie was then assigned to us and within a click of her fingers she brushed aside the issues with ease and made this process as hassle free and as easy as anyone could imagine. She was professional, polite, and simply wonderful when we were going through what is a notoriously stressful process of finding a new house. Bonnie had our tenancy agreement drawn up within a matter of hours and delivered all the information we needed concisely, and answered every question we could throw at her. We could not be more thankful to everyone at Martin & Co, especially Bonnie. Martin and Co Winchester have been absolutely brilliant! Their response to my interest in finding a property was so quick and helpful. I had particular needs as a mature student and they were the only agent in my experience that listened and responded to me personally. I was an honest & trustworthy tenant here in Winchester for over four years and as property managers Martin & Co were fine, with caveats. When I moved out however the honesty / veracity of the leaving report and conduct of the property manager I dealt with was deeply unsatisfactory and fundamentally dishonest. I applied to the DPS following my tenancy end and won significant monies, and would have won more had I provided more evidence. After contacting the agency asking for further details, I was met with nothing but the upmost professionalism and attentiveness from Bonnie.
