There will be others I've forgotten in the moving madness but thanks to the whole team Fantastic estate agents that were very helpful in getting my sale and purchase over the line. He consistently kept us updated on the progress of both our sale and our onward purchase, which gave us real peace of mind and took away the stress. He was always willing to chase solicitors to help move things along as quickly as possible. He managed communication between us, our buyer and the vendor of our new home brilliantly. We would recommend Lewis and the team at Austin Hawk to anyone looking to buy or sell their house!
15th Apr 2026 (6 days ago)Hunters say they were “started in 1992, founded on the firm principles of excellent customer service, unrivalled pro-activity and achieving the best possible results for our customers. These principles still stand firm.” That was absolutely not our experience. We were shown a flat for rent that had actual cat faeces on the floor. The estate agents knew about the condition before the viewing and still went ahead with it. This wasn’t just messy — it was a biohazard. This was the most disgusting property I have ever been in, caked in grime, dust, left over food and actual animal waste smeared on the floor and left there by current tenants. It looked like something from a documentary about hoarders and do not get me started on the actual stench of the place. I actually felt sorry for the estate agent. She was put in the most embarrassing position imaginable, forced to show clients around a flat covered in cat faeces. That is not “excellent customer service” by any stretch. Total lack of respect for potential tenants’ time and health. Avoid if this is the standard of property Hunters think is acceptable to show. The photos advertised did NOT reflect the property in real life at all. I left the viewing feeling sick. Hunters, please have some respect and consideration for prospective tenants time and effort to come to these viewings instead of falsely advertising. 17th Dec 2021 (4 years ago)We recently purchased a property through Savills that should have been a smooth process based on a small chain however for various reasons outside our or the buyers control it was far from it. Hayley was an angel and acted to keep our sellers calm and ensured we finally reached a completion date. Would absolutely return to Savills if we are brave enough to move again in the future!

The entire team have been incredibly supportive and proactive throughout the entire process, especially when encountering unexpected difficulties along the way. Their knowledge of the local market has been invaluable, as has their professional yet extremely friendly advice. We would recommend them without hesitation.

Repairs and Maintainance were prompt and effective. Inspections feedback were well communicated. We enjoyed the property and also looked after the property as if it was ours. Moving out was well managed. I will recommend Belvoir managed properties for lettings and even sales. They have excellent team.

27th Jan 2026 (12 weeks ago)Initially, Belvoir were fine to deal with, and for a long time our tenancy was managed adequately. Unfortunately, everything went downhill once Sheila became involved, and the experience deteriorated rapidly from that point onward. Despite us living in the property for over three years, they forgot that we were moving out, blaming internal handover issues that were entirely Belvoir’s responsibility, not ours. This caused unnecessary stress during an already difficult move. When we tried to resolve this, Sheila was rude, hostile, and unprofessional on the phone. Following our exit, it became clear that Belvoir were missing large amounts of essential tenancy data, including records of maintenance, inspections, and issues we had raised throughout our tenancy. Because these records no longer existed, legitimate issues were then questioned during the deposit process, purely due to their own poor record keeping. This raised serious concerns that our personal data had also been mishandled or lost, likely due to inadequate handovers between the multiple agents we were passed between over the years. As a result, I submitted a Subject Access Request (SAR) to confirm what personal data Belvoir held about us. Alarmingly, they did not understand what a Subject Access Request was or why it was required, which highlights a concerning lack of knowledge around basic data protection obligations. When the SAR was eventually provided, it was incomplete and confirmed that Belvoir have lost significant personal data, including copies of our passport, despite confirming that such documents should be retained for 7 years. We were also informed that all inboxes of previous agents had been deleted, which explains the absence of tenancy records. Since then, my emails have been ignored, and I am still trying to obtain confirmation of when this data was deleted and under what lawful basis, as this does not appear to be GDPR compliant. I strongly recommend that anyone who has rented with Belvoir for a significant period submits a Subject Access Request to ensure they have accurate tenancy records and that their personal data has not been lost or improperly deleted. Belvoir’s service quality has clearly declined, and the handling of our tenancy and personal data has been unacceptable.

Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, and all of our questions were answered clearly with no pressure at all. There was a healthy amount of viewings and offers forthcoming, giving plenty us of choice, which was really appreciated. A special mention to Kieran, Shannen, and Connor, who were all fantastic and a real credit to the team. A smooth, professional experience from start to finish. I have been kept up to date throughout the process and feel confident that they are supporting me as a seller. I was a little concerned at first that their valuation was £25,000 above what another agent had provided, but I needn't have been as they secured an asking price offer a week after it went onto the market!

27th Mar 2026 (25 days ago)THE RUDEST ESTATE AGENT I HAVE EVER COME ACCROSS IN MY LIFE! Usually you would expect to be welcomed to to a property you are looking to buy, invited to park on the drive so you can see what it would be like to live there. Not Claudia Romano, who arrives 1 minute before the appointment, shouting out of her car door, "I'M THE ESTATE AGENT SO I GET TO PARK THERE!". And then, once we have driven around and finally found somewhere to park, has the cheek to tell us that we're late and we will not have a full appointment - when we were there first! Prospective sellers - avoid at all costs!!!

His explanation of the service and the people at Thomas James Estate Agents was open, honest, and reassuring, which is what ultimately led us to choose them over other agents in the area. The sales process took four and a half months from engagement to completion, and throughout that time we were kept fully informed via a WhatsApp group set up specifically for our property. This made communication incredibly easy, allowing us to ask and answer questions quickly, and ensured the team remained proactive in driving the sale through to completion. We were extremely happy with the seamless process and the genuine care and attention shown by the team—Tom, James, Claire, and Elliot (with special mention to Elliot) at Thomas James Estate Agents. We cannot recommend them highly enough; you would be foolish not to consider them.
