Absolutely atrocious service, My father was enquiring about a house and the agent speaking to him was extremely rude asking his to send proof of mortgage and proof of funds before she could show him the property. This is ridiculous because he would not be looking for a house that he could not afford. My father felt offended to the point that he told the agent that he is not interested in buying a house from McGowan homes as her behaviour was extremely disrespectful. Just like that one of you're agents lost a potential buyer for an expensive property!... Read more

So today the purchase of our onward property that was advertised by McGowan Homes fell through after a horrendous 5 month ordeal. A lot of the blame sits with the Venders but I must say McGowan's management of the whole process has been terrible. Firstly, it took a month for the memorandum of sale to be sent off causing the initial delay. Then upon the completion of the legal work we have spent over 2 months going around in circles. We would call up every few days to received the same update from the 'ledger'. This sometimes resulted in them making a token phone call to someone involved in the chain and more often then not leaving a voicemail and that was that. They do not return your phone calls when then say they will and blamed everyone else possible for the delays. Covid-19 was used as an excuse on least 6/7 occasions, therefore I think the WHO should get in contact as it is a world first! Then to top it off we received a call from the owner Jonathon McGowan at 5:30 of the day of our deadline to try and blag that we could only exchange and complete on the same day!! I would highly recommend you think twice about submitting on offer on a house advertised by this company, I know we certainly will.... Read more

Our purchasers solicitors were late delivering funds and we thought we wouldn't be able to get our keys. The two ladies on the front desk were amazing. Chasing everything they could for us. Organising temporary access to the garage so we didn't lose our removals van until Monday and allowing me to stay out of the rain! Kept me topped up with tea and chocolate too. The customer service from one lady that answers most of the phone calls is just horrendous. I politely tried to book in to view a property, she did nothing but rush me off the phone, was extremely patronising. And was overall just a lousy estate agent! This branch needs to reconsider who they are employing because the lack of interest this particular lady had in every 3 phonecalls that I had with her, clearly shows she musnt enjoy dealing with people. If I ring through to this branch again, if i get put through to her I will immediately ask to be put on to another member of staff because she is absolutely no help to me as a customer that wants to buy!!!!!!...
