Having previously been a Peter Richardson tenant I wanted to leave a review based on my experience with them. I was offered a property when I wasn’t a working applicant and subsequently was on benefits. I was struggling to find a letting agent that would let a property to me due to my circumstances. I was recommended via another Peter Richardson tenant to speak to the office and see if they could help me. After viewing a property, I decided to go ahead and sign up! The sign up of the property was straight forward and I was met by a friendly and helpful lady called Lauren. She helped me set up my thermostat so the timer came on when I needed etc. She showed me also how to work my smart meters as I’d never used them before. This advice was great appreciated. About a month into my tenancy, my benefits weren’t set up still properly and I faced being in rent arrears, never once did I get made to feel embarrassed by this. I was offered immense support and patience by Kim in the office, she guided me through the entire process until it was resolved. As with all properties, occasionally I did need to call the maintenance team and I was always kept up to date by Gemma. She dealt with any problems quickly and efficiently and the guys that came out were always were knowledgeable and professional. It was reassuring to know, there is also an out of office hours phone number for genuine emergencies. When it was time for me to move, I phoned the office and was guided through the entire process. If I ever had to rent again, I wouldn’t hesitate to rent through Peter Richardson Estates and I would and do recommend this company to anyone. The reason for leaving this review after so long is because people often leave bad reviews and certainly not always truthful ones. I stumbled upon some of the other reviews and I was shocked as I honestly couldn’t have experienced anything further from it. Where do I begin!!! This place is ran by thieves they take rent and deposit and upon leaving won’t return it! They will leave you in the most horrendous conditions and the properties are in poor locations Beyond that the office is ran by a group of sarcastic women with a lack of empathy the manager Lauren especially is beyond rude she will lie without remorse everyone who has left a review they conveniently do not have us on their database so how can we all be leaving false feedback? how can so many people have the exact same issues?! Don’t use this estate agents you will live to regret the entire experience Telford has many other respectable reputable estate agents who won’t steal lie and cheat and leave you in horrid conditions manipulate arrears be nasty rude have a lack of communication or none and give false information I suggest reading all the comments before ever working with this company... Gives false information that leads to arrears then will not change the direct payment or arrears, they are only interested in there rent, waiting a long time for any repairs, can't give a time, makes excuses there waiting for someone else Please do not go direct payment from UC, you will NOT have a say in this afterwards, even if you think your doing the right thing to help, they will trash you...
