I moved in around September, and now, after nearly a month, I feel compelled to leave a review. What stands out the most is Wei’s exceptional after-sales service. He has been incredibly patient and responsive, addressing all the issues and questions we've had as tenants (as you know, the first month always comes with its challenges!). His dedication has made the process much smoother. Highly recommend!
15th Nov 2024 (9 weeks ago)Sales consultant Johnny Hyslop was amazing, incredibly efficient and a constant support moving flats - a complex operation with many moving parts but nothing was ever too much trouble for him and he worked tirelessly for me and my buyer to secure a smooth transition. Jackson Stops Pimlico & Westminster is absolutely first rate. The advice I received was thoughtful, wise and incredibly helpful throughout - and my sincere thanks also to Harry Buchanan.

29th Oct 2024 (12 weeks ago)Not sorted a broken toilet - Paid over market value, for a property with a broken toilet... this was reported 3 times by the previous tenant and not brought to our attention before we signed for the property. They blame Urang for the key being delayed (it took 6 weeks to get a 2nd coded key for a front door, as a couple moving in?) Terrible experience from start to now... and we still have 1.5 years left?

Everybody involved shared their in-depth knowledge of the area and sale process. That allowed us to make all the right decisions. Due to the situation we were in, the sale process was lengthy. None of that made Horton & Garton team work any less. First sale fell through (due to circumstances out of our control). The Team found the second buyer promptly. House was sold for almost 12% more than the first buyer’s offer and almost 19% more than the asking price! Tremendous success! Outcome: Happy buyers, happy sellers and the Team has moved on with a smile ;)Highly recommend agents! If you hesitate… DON’T! Thank you John, Thank you Louise, Thank you Team

He made the entire process smooth and stress-free, always answering our questions promptly and providing clear information. Alan was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we found the perfect property that met all our needs. I couldn’t be happier with the service and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a hassle-free rental experience.

21st Oct 2024 (13 weeks ago)Review relates to property management and their dubious billing / service charge practice. Willmott's charged almost 3 times more for building insurance - when I asked they conveniently mention its the best price their broker managed to find yet i was able to get a like for like policy on open market for £11k less. Standard cleaning charges ~ £50 per hour, bogus charges eg removal of fire extinguishers that had already been removed a year before, £130 for placing no smoking sign, sending out contractors for a job that was not done properly in the first instances and then charging residents multiple times in the space of a year for the same job... an incompetent staff that changes the colour of your own front door without even asking for your consent presumably to drive up invoicing/extra management fees ... the list goes on. Strongly urge anyone that has Willmott's as their managing agents to look closely at your itemised service charge bills to avoid being over charged

Throughout the viewing he was very chatty and relaxed, allowing us the time we wanted to explore the property in order for us to see if it would be right for us. Prior to the viewing, communication was good. I did not proceed with the property as it wasn't the perfect fit, but would be happy to work with him again and view other properties.

Once we shared our search criteria’s with Charlie, he showed us flats that matched these and allowed us online visits and also on site when we were in London. He was very reactive and super helpful. 18th Oct 2024 (13 weeks ago)Rented us a property that was clearly unsafe and unfit for human habitation. They agreed to terminate our year-long contract after only 12 days, before re-listing the property online only hours later. We had to stay in temporary accommodation for 3 weeks whilst CR ‘repaired’ 28 Leopold St. It ended up being very different to when we had viewed and what we were promised (no light bulbs, furnishings that we were told came with the property were missing, electric & gas top up key systems etc.). Within 2 days we had no gas, electricity or running water due to a dangerous leak in the fuse box. Before this was identified, one of the many electricians who came round advised me to flip the switch board whenever the electricity went out, putting me in danger. We were asked to vacate the premises whilst the electricity was still a risk, which rendered us a household of homeless young women. We were offered £26.25 each a night for a hotel, which unsurprisingly doesn't scratch the surface of last-minute weekend bookings in London. CR insisted the leak had magically appeared after the one time we had used the shower. They nailed some wooden boards over where the leak was coming from despite us begging them to carry out proper repairs for our safety. Unsurprisingly, the leak persisted, and CR reluctantly agreed to terminate our contract after only 12 days once we identified Mohammed Ali Hassan, the Director of CR, as being the landlord through the Land Registry. Four hours later, the property was relisted for cheaper. They started ripping out the bathroom once we left, proving they had knowingly lied about the leak being fixed by pinning up some planks of wood. Almost a month on, 3 out of the 4 of us are still facing housing insecurity, living either with friends/family or in temporary accommodation. This is because of CR’s greed, unprofessionalism, and dishonesty. They even implied that we stole the property's electricity meter key and asked us to consider that “it was an unfortunate situation for the landlord”, and that they did us a favour by “letting us stay for free” in a house that was uninhabitable. This is inaccurate and insulting on all counts. TENANTS: You have been warned, steer clear, and good luck to those already contractually stuck. LANDLORDS: Letting through CR could cause more stress than it is worth as their sloppy business dealings could negatively impact you too. This experience is reflective of how the Director himself handles his own properties. We had legal standing to be released from our contract due to CR’s poor choices, which could happen to you with your tenants and lose you money. MOHAMMED ALI HASSAN & CR EMPLOYEES: The unprofessional manner in which you have conducted yourself is embarrassing and has had real impacts on three young women who now have no where to live. We are reasonable people who want minimal stress and we would have remained in our tenancy had you have fixed the leak properly on the first instance and given us suitable temporary accommodation. This behaviour will eventually come back to bite you. Perhaps you should spend less time on your podcasting endeavours and spend more time carrying out the bare minimum for your tenants. The council, local MPs & Propertymark have been made aware of the events described above. I recommend other tenants pursue the same avenues if they are unfortunate enough to find themselves in a similar position.
