Searching for a flat to let with Chancellors was straightforward and overall a very pleasant experience. Oliver in the Notting Hill office was very friendly and took the time to understand what kind of flat I was looking for that would also accommodate my dog. I would recommend their services to anyone looking for a property in the Notting Hill area.
Avoid at all cost! Organised scam at the end of tenancy!
During tenancy, the agency took weeks before fixing major issues such as broken windows in winter.
At the end of tenancy, the landlord claimed over 2 weeks of rent for a professional clean and minor scratches on the floor and walls that existed prior to the start of the tenancy.
Anscombe uses a one-man inventory agency company dubbed Ft2 inventories. This agency conducts a light check-in inventory report at night time and a very detailed check-out inventory report at day time. The flat was left spotless after a 280GBP professional clean yet Ft2 inventories reported the flat was not cleaned up to professional standards.
Landlord and Anscombe backed down from the claim after weeks of muscling up and proving that claim was unfounded.
Charlotte was great - very helpful and responsive! Loving my new flat so far. Highly recommend!
pompous newbies will attempt to boss you into giving your address for no reason that they can explain. I don't mind random company policies but at least don't have an attitude because of your own lack of knowledge.
Karan Kumar helped us find a flat in Notting Hill. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. He is extremely hard working and efficient. He was responsive and communicative and responded to our many calls, Whatsapp messages and Emails in a timely manner. We can’t recommend him highly enough.
Contacted them two months ago looking for a flat. A guy name Tom was very nice on the phone but not once in person. He argued that I said my limit was 1,300 pcm while I said 1,200 pcm. However, he showed us 4 flats, none of them under 1,300 (the cheapest was 1,350), insisting in that "the normal thing is to spend the 80% of the salary on the rent. Well, that may be your case Tom, but I don't want to struggle every month to pay my bills. He rudly insists so much on this that he even took a calculator and started calculating how much money we would still have after paying 1400 for a 1 bedroom flat near Portobello Market (btw, I thought the limit supposed to be 1300...). He also added that we will not find a 1 bedroom flat for less than 1300, unless we go to live to heathrow. Well, guess what Tom, we find it in Hackney for 1150, and it is not the crappy flats you showed to us (one of them included the landlords -an old couple that, I guess, wasn't expecting having two girls living together- living on the second floor of the building). I am not saying this the experience you will get with Foxtons. Not at all, at the same time colleagues from Foxtons Archway, Ealing and Greenwich were being incredibly kind and professional with us. I just believe this particular "Tom" from Foxtons Notting Hill is only used to work with wealthy people that would pay whatever they asked for a old, muddy, crappy flat in Kensington. It's fine, just tell me from the begining and don't go wasting my time.
Lucy Bointon was superb. Everything an agent should be, proactive polite and a wiz at sorting the through the land mine of legal issues. Great thank you.
Pushy people who pressured me to pay a holding deposit prior to even viewing the flat and clarifying our conditions. They are the typical "young and hungry" lettings and sales agents who play every game in the book to try to secure a deal as quickly as possible, even if it is not suitable for the client's needs. Very young people who do not seem to have any experience, supervision or business guidance. Totally clueless bunch of kids.
I have dealt with Hamptons buying property and letting property over the past few years and have always found them to be very friendly , polite and professional. Jenny has been particularly helpful recently with solving any problems I've had.
I am shocked at their attitude to customers. Such a low lever could hardly be expected from a company that is positioning self rather high on the market. It started off with me popping by their Kensington office. I left my contacts and one of their receptionists promised I would be shortly contacted by one of agents. However it had never happened and I called them the following day only to find out they request had never been processed. However new person (Charlotte) promised to send me available options. Which she has not done up until now. Seriously, why to treat your customers with such a neglect? I have a feeling they are not interested in finding new clients or doing their job. So ended up with Foxtons.
Megan Foster was extremely good. She replied to my online enquiry and quickly formed a warm trusting working relationship with me. She completed every task that she said she would and I enjoyed dealing with her.

The worst experience ever! Be prepared to involve your lawyers before signing anything with them. They are the worst authorized delinquents! Incompetents and thieves! They only do their interests! I strongly discourage everyone to cross their door.
