Everything was alright until we moved out and Foxtons refused to return our deposit and overpaid rent (more than 3000£ in total). They claimed they were processing the payment and "chasing" the landlord and that the delay was on the landlord's side but we've been in touch with the landlord and have a written proof he never received any correspondence from the agents. It looks like a scam, so be careful with this agency.

Worst experience renting with Foxtons. Avoid at all costs!!! Landlady and Foxtons literally made our life hell in the time that we rented our apartment. We had issues since the day we moved in and Foxtons service is so slow, that any issue gets fixed after 2-3 months of reporting it. We had issues with basic necessities such as our toilet, fixing rotten floor board, broken windows etc. We were also forced to purchase food considering expenses of London because they couldn't replace a dangerous gas cooktop in time. Eating out for 13 days with no guarantee when the gas will be fixed. They also did not offer us any compensation for inconvenience caused and forced expenditure to purchase our food. Please avoid them at all costs!

Terrible to rent with them. Reported an issue at the apartment I lived more then 1 year ago (heater broken) they never come to fix and that during the WINTER!! More then once that happen. Be really careful to rent with this guys. They will treat you like king until you sign the contract, after that it’s just headaches.

Thanks so much to Nathan and his team for getting the sale of my Shepherds Bush flat over the line! He found buyers quickly and set the whole process up efficiently liassing between myself, the buyer and the solicitors. There were various issues with the lease holder and their slow response but Nathan was like a terrier and kept chasing until everything was completed. I was particlarly happy since I am based abroad and Nathan kept me very much up to date with proceedings while respecting the 7 hour time difference. After moving over from South Africa in the first week on January, we had the pleasure of getting Curtis Downey as our agent when sending in a request to view for one place. Curtis was quick to call back, ask about our preferences and set up 3 viewings for us the very next day. He drove us to all 3 viewings and gave a lot of valuable (and realistic) insight on the London rental market. Within a day or two we had secured a place that he had shown us and walked us through each step while being very responsive and relaxed when we had queries.

Extremely pushy and unprofessional. Circumstances change while people are looking for properties and when I told the estate agent that I want to wait until next weekend - Jan 20th - to find properties to move into for Feb roughly - she responded back saying I won’t find places for Feb and I’ll only see properties for march or April (lol). Even if that’s true - I couldn’t drop work and moving out of my current place to go to viewings? She knows I’m not desperate to move in asap as I have a short term accommodation set. She called me all angry asking what was going on and that I need to cooperate with her. And this was due to the fact I didn’t answer for a few hours. Such a bad look for Foxtons, but upon research I’ve learned about their reputation for being very pushy anyway. There are plenty of property specialists and other estate agency chains I could use. Honestly shocked by that phone call.

They are very unprofessional.
I paid my deposit when I signed my contract to rent a room. They didn't register me to a deposit scheme. At the end of the tenancy they kept 30% of the deposit for abusive purpose.
We have made a complaint to court. Hopefully it is pretty sure they are so unprofessional and haven't been no compliant with the law, they will loose.

They are so bad. Just use Dexter's estate agents on the green really good. With Foxtins everything is bad not one saving grace. They chased for the work they then got the chance to quote and book it. Didn't turn up after texting in the morning to confirm. Called the office to see what's going on. Said they get back didn't. Then they didn't call after to apologize either. I stuck a complaint in as my mum is 80 and waited in for them. After the complaint the excuses started and I was told I was called. Appalling firm. If you hold their shares and sell them I don't think they are going to last for long. Dexters Estate agents on the corner at Shepherds Bush are fantastic really really good using them no issues very nice people especially Georgina. So nice to do business with

I never write reviews but it has been over a month and I still do not have my security deposit. They don’t answer emails unless they need something from you, and when they need you expect 3 calls and 10 emails per day from a variety of people. Beyond useless, DO NOT rent so much as a wooden spoon from these useless twonks.
I want to add a “they weren’t that bad really” somewhere, but I can’t. Our Agent Harry even went as far as lying to us about the place having double glazing (it didn’t) and then pressuring us into hiring a professional to clean when we moved out (never part of the contract). Here we are waiting for our deposit to be returned despite the deductions being agreed on a month ago. Oh yes and they repeatedly booked viewings without running it past us until the morning of the viewing (answer was always going to be no guys - 24h notice minimum).

Moved out a month ago. According to the contract they have 10 days time to make any claims and return our deposit. No money has been returned. Email was answered once where they wanted to give the landlord more time, but after that they ignored us. Unrelated, but property was broken into last year and they promised to add banham locks, which never happened. Avoid like the plague if you value safety & trustworthiness.

Appalling experience, specifically their rentals department (under Almas Crossley).
During our tenancy: landlord left items at the property that should've been taken on arrival (then charged us for them), we experienced flood damage, broken appliances, heating not working- not repaired for months. On top of that- 6+ months of building work that they knew about before letting to us- but didn't bother telling us beforehand- obviously only cared about their commission.
Despite multiple complaints- agent is unhelpful and then charges us absurd, unjustified fees on move out.
I really cannot advise strongly enough NOT to use Foxtons Shephards Bush either as a tenant or landlord (we are both).

I've been attempting to get in contact with someone at the Shepards Bush branch regarding a property I've put an offer on and I'm looking to move ASAP.
I made the inquiry 5 days ago, I have repeatedly called/text/emailed the sales rep and had no luck, then I've also rang twice a day all week and been in contact head office around 4 times, all saying they'll have the rep contact me.
Yesterday I requested changing the rep and an email was sent in house to the manager to reiterate this. I was also told I would get a call this morning from the branch manager and I have yet to receive any communication.
I am incredibly frustrated with the complete lack of communication from the branch and the empty promises of someone to reach out to me. Usually I would walk away but the apartment is absolutely perfect for my partner and I in almost every regard. I have got some serious doubts about working with Foxtons at this moment due to what has occurred, but as you are the agency responsible I have no choice and I am hoping that by coming to you individually. I've already made an offer and shown to be a promising lead for this business and I wouldn't expect to face such a difficult process.

I sent to Foxtons on January 19th to apply for the change of the occupancy, but it has not been completed until July 7th. During this period, I sent emails and made phone calls for more than 50 times, but Courtney Allen, the property manager, always found various reasons to delay. She told the new tenant last week that the contract would be sent to us last Wednesday, but she didn't. I called her last Friday and she said she would give me the new contract this Monday, but she didn't. I called her this Wednesday and she said she would send me the new contract that afternoon, but she didn't. She has cheated me many times, and always used various excuses to delay, wasting my time and money.

My partner and I were buying for the first time, and to be honest we were filled with apprehension. It’s almost a rite of passage, you can’t tell anyone you’re looking to buy without them reeling out some horror story that *almost* puts you off.
But I’m glad to report that we had a great experience with Foxtons. Lauren understood what we were looking for, in fact we ended up buying the first place she showed us. We also went through Foxtons to get a chartered surveyor and a conveyancer, and while it was more expensive than the cheapest option on Google, the service was impeccable.
Jas & Lauren stayed in touch throughout the entire process, answering any and all requests, offering advice when needed and ultimately providing a smooth and efficient experience. A great service, thank you both!

During our search we had clear criteria that were not followed, we were showed flats way out of our budget and move in date despite reiterating these details multiple times. We went to at least 4 separate days of viewings where each time we had to ask "why are you showing us this?". Once I was told to come down to the branch (1hr away from where lived) to see three properties, in the end I was only taken to one. An absolute waste of time.
Once we moved into a property it was full of issues (damp, dirt, broken intercom, filthy carpet, broken window and broken oven) and the landlord has refused to fix them. The landlord has not responded to us (do they even vet these people or just take anyone?). Now we are stuck in a two year contract where Foxtons will make us pay a hefty fee to leave by no fault of our own. We let the agency know but they have told us there is nothing they can do. I figured 'this is London renting' and left it at that.
Today I've just found out that despite telling us they would, and making us wait to enter the property until the afternoon of the day we got the keys to do so, they DID NOT carry out an inventory. We know this will cause problems for the end of tenancy as the landlord is already rude and stingy.
This is a flat out unprofessional service. Avoid.

I went to this agency, they make me sit down, a guy named James, he shows up all confident, and says he would help me, so I rely on him, he shows me a house, really awful yet to be finished, obviously I reply that I'm not interested, then he shows me a new house, I am delighted, he tells me that it is possible to take it, but I have to let him know as soon as possible, then the next day, I tell him that I take it, he tells me that he has to talk to the owner, he leaves me waiting for 4 days (I premise that I have less than two weeks and I live in a street, he knew I didn't have much time) without being heard, or sending me a message, so I contact him, he tells me who has another home, and then disappears completely! my feedback is negative only and exclusively for him! hope they take action, unprofessional! disrespectful.

I just moved to a property in shepherd's bush. I found the flat with loads of issues,(no hot water, broken chairs, table and bed frame, condensation on the window) no one came the first day to do the inventory. I'm really disappointed since I really expected to relax once at home but no, I have to call every day the property manager to kindly invite him and fix the problems. It's been a week and still no one came. It's been an exhausting experience. I would not recommend at all this agency.

As tenants(me and my partner) we had the worst experience in the last years with this agency. All they care about is to take your money. They have such a poor customer service. In the contract they changed our initial offer, we were asking them to contact the landlord before we move in to do some changes, and not only they were not trying to contact him but also they were lying in our face that they couldn't get in touch with him and every other excuse that anyone could imagine. This had a result to waste our time and waste our landlords time and money as there was a total misleading of information to us and to landlord by Foxtons. We would never go through Foxtons again.

I had the pleasure to start my home research with Natalin Simpkin and couldn’t have been more satisfied with the process. Right away Natalie was incredibly friendly and I really can’t say enough good things about her.
As a first time homebuyer, I was not familiar with the terminology or the best process people to involve. Going in to the process I thought I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted and what buying a home is like – but it wasn’t “quite” as simple as I thought.
Natalie may be the most patient person I know; she’s completely open to hearing what you have to say and continues to listen whole heartedly when the next day you’re saying something completely different. This isn’t her first rodeo and she seems to understand the flip flopping first time buyers go through. She seemed to always be available for my questions and sync ups when I was feeling under water. She helped me narrow down what kind of home I was looking for and was patient as I dragged her through dozens of properties.
Natalie gave me excellent guidance, she is knowledgeable, approachable, personable, endlessly patient, thoughtful, hardworking and incredibly generous with her time (including mornings, evenings, and weekends over the course of several months). My experience was with Natalie Simpkin. She’s been amazing on every aspect, from the very beginning till the end.
She was very good at listening my needs and proposing only properties that would suit me, not wasting my time with wrong ones. She was always available and flexible to meet and to arrange viewings, giving me all sort of information before and after in order to help me in the choice.
In the end I didn’t buy through foxtons, but just because the property wasn’t listed with it and absolutely not for the service that Natalie provided; to be honest I was really hoping to find the right solution with her because I would have trusted her on handeling all my paperwork for the purchase.
She is a great employee that has great selling skills and empathy as well towards the buyer.

Agreed upon interior improvements have been a number of weeks late to a flat my fiancee and I are renting in Ealing. Despite being written in contract, work has yet to be done. After enquiring about lateness of work I received what I considered to be a rude and unhelpful email from a senior property manager. I would be very wary of choosing Foxtons Shepherds Bush as they epitomise everything negative about estate agents. They show you properties that are way above budget and then enter you into bidding wars with other prospective tenants - Inga was particularly timewasting. It's disheartening when you find a property you love within budget and then they ask you to up your offer over the price advertised.
They also market the same properties as other agents yet their fees are well above their competitors.

We've had a really good experience with Foxtons so far. Jenalyn spent an evening with us showing a range of properties both in and around our preferred location. We ended up going for a property in an area we would never had thought to look had Jenalyn not spent the time showing us different types of property/locations we could get for our budget. Once we made the offer on our flat the process was complete within a few days, documents and references were all done online which made everything so much easier.

I have had a brilliant experience with FOXTONs. Charlie Willars was especially helpful staying on later to show me properties due to my busy working schedule, taking me to properties only just put on the market that day and making sure i was always in the loop. We were hoping for a reasonably priced one bedroom in Shepherds Bush and needed to move into London as quickly as possible - our agent, Jenalyn Masalunga, was incredibly helpful and showed us a great range of places. Thanks to her we were able to find a place we loved and have our optomistically low offer accepted within 48 hours of first talking to her, and she then facilitated us moving in that weekend! Jenalyn was happy to deal with our questions at all times and explain everything really clearly to us as new renters, making herself available late into the evening so we could move quickly. Gary Runnalls recently helped me secure a sale on a flat in Barons' Court. I haven't always had the best impression of Foxtons but he was excellent. The sale wasn't straightforward, but Gary was always professional and helpful without being smarmy and fake, he's a can-do man and a great people person. He was also reliable, works crazy hours and good at keeping me up to date with weekly phone calls, which I wouldn't expect as our pokey flat won't have been the most exciting property on his list. When there was bad news to deliver regarding buyers etc he delivered it promptly and straight, no procrastinating, blaming or bad-mouthing anyone. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gary to anyone else wanting to sell a property.

Absolutely appalling company! Avoid at all costs!! Pushes you hard into making an offer by probably faking the fact that a counteroffer is on the table. Then lets you sign several versions of a contract with different reasons, makes you pay their outrageous fee of 420 plus deposit, assuring you that the landlord will "sign tonight" only to tell you a week later that there was a counteroffer by another agency and that you have to "match" it. Seriously? Nothing but a joke. What kind of business model is that. Apparently they do not have any proper relationships with their landlords. Save your time and your money and deal with real agencies. This would be 0 out of 5 stars if possible. Avoid at all costs.
