Before choosing Rowley and Co, my property was managed by one of those big high street agencies, and the personal service just wasn’t there. That’s why I decided to switch to a local, independent agent like Rowley and Co. Both of the ladies are fantastic—extremely efficient and genuinely care about your property as much as you do. I haven’t been able to fault them at all. I’ve been with them for over three years now, and during that time managing my property has been so seamless, allowing me to focus on my own affairs knowing it’s in good hands.

As a tenant I highly commended Rowley and Co, particularly Julie's and Karen's professional, seamless and smooth rental service rendered to me and my family. The house is located in a great location with tranquil neighbourhood that we highly enjoyed. Karen's great communication and arrangement had helped us go through our first year in the UK. I was the tenant and will strongly not recommended. I am so glad that Deposit Protection Scheme to help on claiming my deposit back. Be careful of any claim against your during moving out. All photos were taken during moving out and it is reasonably clean condition BUT I was asked to pay for a cleaning fee of £71 because there are dust on top of light switch and spider web at wall corner.
I admitted there are scratches on the sink and I am willing to compensate £100 for the cosmetic lost BUT the landlord / agent insisted that I should be responsible for a full replacement cost of £290 for a kitchen sink.
They have also tried to claim £50 for a small scratch on wall paper. Living in a property for 1 year and I have not even put a nail on the wall. The agent or the landlord do not even allow ANY wear and tear?

The level of professionalism from Julie and Karen at Rowley & Co was beyond our expectations.

The viewing was handled with high standards, we have been served very well. The response time from the ladies at office was faster than anyone I ever exchanged emails with.

Although totally disagreed with charges to be deducted out of deposit, so had to take it to DPS who agreed with us in the end..
Before taking on properties, ensure you take pics, pics, pics..otherwise they will try and sting you...

Sorry, I disagree. The questions were along the lines of bias-based judgement. Two brother, both professional, and you're asking why this is the case? Also, two weeks ago, you kept saying, "we should have answer from the landlord, 'tomorrow'." If the father was ill how were you coming to the conclusion that it will be 'tomorrow', every day? Eventually, I had an email from Julie (which you later confessed was you), saying we will definitely receive an answer on the Monday. When we spoke at 4.50pm Monday you asked those questions to which I gave a perfectly satisfactory answer. You then said it will be in a 'day or two'. You NEVER got back to me. There is an element of discrimination and bias. Unfortunately [for you] my dad's best friend is a barrister based in the Isle of Man. Any suggestion of bias or discrimination is met with such force, they both have Judicial Reviews at a cost of £2,500, which is a drop in the ocean for us however, it gives us great pleasure to see those trying to take advantage grieve, afterwards.

Their reviews need investigating. These are the worst bunch of property agents. Viewed a 3-bed house in Hall Green two weeks ago and submitted an application form for myself and my younger brother. I am a Design Engineer. He is a Pharmacist. Combined income of over £55K per annum. After numerous promises that a decision shall be made, last Friday Julie apologies and promises by close of business today she will have a decision. I just called and spoke with Karen. She states the landlord is asking what ages we are, who will live there, and why two brothers are living together in a 3 bed house. I asked her to put this in writing so that I can ascertain if I have a case of bias or discrimination. Karen then queried as to why I am asking so many questions to which I reminded her that if her position is that the landlord is entitled to ask these questions, then I am also in a position to ask questions. Then hung up.
ALL the information was shown in our application form, together with our IDs.
One of the questions I asked Karen was where and how they won the 'award' as stated on their website? - nearly EVERY property agent say they are award-winning. Most probably they did a competition amongst themselves and gave themselves an award, then went to Timpsons, bought a trophy and got it engraved.
Stay away from these unprofessional, bias lot. Being an estate agent is one of the lowest skilled jobs out there. Rent a shop, put some photos and go round to houses and plant a board and then wait for calls. But, these lot at Rowley have taken it to even deeper depths unprofessionalism.

I love Rowley and Co
I spoke to Karen and Julie one Friday as I needed to find a place to rent after recently selling my home. On the Monday they had found me a lovely property in a really beautiful village location in a quiet cul-de-sac.
On the Wednesday I viewed the property and the Friday confirmed I wanted it and a month later I was in. Everything was so easy and straight forward and the house was very clean and tidy. I have been with them now for 15 months. Any issues with the house that needed attention have been resolved very fast (within a day or two) without any fuss. Karen and Julie clearly love their job and are always available for any issues or assistance and are very professional and friendly.
Brilliant customer care. Outstanding overall service.
