I helped a relative to sell their home through Sawyer & Co. Both their quote and contract term were very reasonable. We were extremely pleased with the quality of the photographs taken and the brochure produced. The particulars on their website were excellent, showing large pictures of the property and a 3D Matterport viewing option. Sawyer & Co. were able to find a buyer within a week or two of the house going up for sale. The transaction was made much easier by having the assistance of Lucy Cratchley, Sales Progressor, who kept us fully informed of proceedings and answered any queries between the buyer and ourselves promptly with tact and diplomacy. What an amazing experience! From the first day, Aaron was full of energy and high spirit. The photographer Irene was just fantastic, they made me feel safe. Well what can I say. For starters if you're reading this and you're thinking of selling with this agent, speak to Aaron and get him on the case. From start to finish he was on point. The professionalism of Aaron was fantastic throughout, he ensured the whole process was as smooth as it could be. A complex transaction which required short notice on visits and appointments to the property, he was on hand to ensure these were taken care of.
Lucy the sales progressor was fantastic and her persistence with all parties involved was commendable.
If you're looking for an agent look no further, don't even bother looking elsewhere. Yes you will find slightly cheaper but there's no comparison. Absolute superstars.

I can not speak more highly of the service I received from Sawyer and Co. regarding the sale of my house. From the initial valuation by Aaron all the way to completion the service was excellent.
Lucy who progressed our sale kept us informed and helped us keep our cool.
We had some logistical problems as our move was abroad and timeframes were a factor but the team worked really hard to keep everything on track.
They were respectful to both ours and the buyers needs/circumstances and got the job done in a friendly and professional manner.

They say moving house is one of the most stressful things you can experience and whilst it has been difficult due to unforseen cladding issues, Sawyer and Co have been amazing.
Pre sale we were impressed with the incredible photos which brought our modern flat to life and captured why we loved living there. At one point we did have another agency invovled but Sawyers were able to obtain us twice the viewings in half the time. This is credit to thier market reach and attractive adverts.
Post sale we werent forgotten and kept informed along the way. Special thanks to Aaron Fernandes (Senior manager) and Lucy Cratchley (Sales progressor). Two people who are amazing at what they do! They really felt like our friends, who genuinely wanted to help at every turn, always answering the phone and emailing us back whatever the hour.
We've finally exchanged after what was a long journey but this was through no fault of this amazing agency who without, it would have been a lot harder and may never have happened.

Our Sales Progressor Lucy Cratchley was instrumental in getting our property over the exchange line. This was a first time buy for us which was a bit bumpy due to lack of comms with solicitors on both parties but Lucy completely turned the situation around. Without Lucy I do not think we would have been able to exchange when we did. She was on it from the get go and we can't thank her enough for the time, patience and effort she put in getting us over the finish line. I would highly recommend having a dedicated Sales Progression person in place when purchasing.

We first put our property on with another agent and were very disappointed that our house wasn’t sold in the 3 months. We then contacted Sawyer & Co & Aaron came to see us and was friendly, professional, enthusiastic and proactive from the start and in fact to the end. On the 1st day with Sawyer & Co our house was sold for a very good price that we were more than happy with. That was back in February. Unfortunately we couldn’t find a suitable property to buy until the end of August. Mostly all reviews on this site are regarding Sawyer and Co. sales and lettings , so I'd like to add a review based on their block management team.
A year ago the leaseholders and myself in my building acquired Right to manage rights.We chose Sawyer and Co. because 2 of the leaseholders had positive experiences with their Hove branch.Unfortunately the decision to have the team of Sawyer and Co. manage our building is one of the worst decisions we have made.
Initially the team were enthusiastic and professed to say 'how different' they were from other agencies, this couldn't be further from the truth, nearly a year on , major works that needed to be started have yet to be started and the building is falling into disrepair because of this companies incompetencies and I cannot sell my property because of the damage caused, incidentally the team have been back in the office since May , so the COVID situation cannot be given as an excuse.
The situation took a turn for the worse in July with the arrival of Bethany Humphreys taking over the block management.Her attitude is an absolute disgrace and does this company no favours whatsoever.
I would suggest anyone in the same position thinking of a new block agent bypasses Sawyer and Co. it's style over substance and the new team leaves a lot too be desired, avoid at all costs.

We did a viewing for a rental house in portslade back in August. My partner was contacted by the agency a few days later telling us we got that place and needed to come down to put down a deposit. My partner was going for an job interview and told the agent he will call back within an hour. We tried all day to contact him. No respond, no call back, nothing. We left messages with his colleagues and still we didn't hear anything. Then half an hour after they closed we got an email from the agent tell us the property had gone to someone else. How is this acceptable? We had two weeks to find somewhere to live and it was an absolutely nightmare. To be promised a property and cancelling other viewings to then be told it's not available anymore AFTER they closed so you can't call them. We got hold of one colleague next day and he was very apologetic. Never heard from the agent. Very poorly handled

We received a card through the post from Sawyer & Co saying that our property had been highlighted with having the potential for development. This is something we had looked into previously without success, however, we thought we would respond to see what they had to say.
Sawyer & Co were very professional when we subsequently met up with them and they were very enthusiastic about our chances to develop. They explained that they had a number of developers who they could show our property to and we agreed to let them do this on our behalf. A few developers looked at our property and after some negotiation with one of them we agreed a price for the site.
The whole process with Sawyer & Co went really well and they were professional and courteous at all times. We were never rushed to get the sale completed and we were treated with the utmost respect at all times.
The whole process went really well and we are more than satisfied with the outcome. It would have been easy to just chuck their initial card in the recycling bin and we are very glad that we didn't!!!
Sawyer & Co also acted for us in the sale of a property a few years ago and I have nothing but good things to say about them. I would recommend them 100%

Very good experience. We kept in touch for at least three months, comunicating mostly by email almost everyday and all our questions were promptly answered. Throughout this time, sometimes, we felt to come and speak personally and they were also available to receive us and explain every point of the process we went through. I recently made a purchase through Sawyer and Co and found them to be a thoroughly professional outfit who did all they could to make the stressful business of moving house as smooth as possible. I had dealings with the Kemp Town and Portslade offices and thought everyone I spoke to was knowledgeable and helpful. The offices also keep one another in the loop which - believe me - doesn't happen with a lot of agents. I would recommend them and use them again if I moved in the future.

I deal with Emma and Harriet on a day to day basis as we are one of the contractors they use.
They are both really helpful if we need any additional information for jobs, and are willing to assist at any time should we find it difficult to get in touch with tenants to book an appointment.
Even on their really busy days, they will respond in a matter of minutes, and are willing to help where they can to ensure that we work together, in order to get the jobs booked in as quickly as possible, so their tenant's maintenance issues are fixed within a fast and realistic time frame.

We sold our flat with Sawyers, we had previously tried to sell for two and a half years with another well established local agent but the sale was complicated because of a freehold issue. Sawyers found the right buyer and we completed within a few months.
I cannot recommend highly enough the diligent, and professional approach of both James the branch manager and especially Conor who handled our sale with the patience and sensitivity required for it to successfully progress to completion.
Worth every penny of their (very competitive) fee!!!

It makes it worse that they were the landlords too!
TERRIBLE customer service and communication with you and between staff members.
You'd think living above a Sawyer and Co office would mean great communication, Right? If only it were that simple!
The office in Kemptown are very helpful (however are sales agents) and often had to give the other letting agents a nudge (as being contacted by myself several times did nothing): Especially when receiving my keys 3 WEEKS later than my move in date. The other offices, from what I have experiences are highly unprofessional, rude and terrible with communication.
Many issues with repairs that were just ignored. Many emails and phone calls not returned. You have to chase the Letting agents to even get a response or to have something fixed/or checked!
-Throughout the whole tenancy there were repairs that were completely ignored and till this day remain the same.
Also took over a week to return deposit and tried multiple additional charges, that were reduced (once contested).
