Within minutes of meeting Simon you sense he has the X Factor; integrity, professionalism, warmth and likeability in abundance – all the things I was looking for in an estate agent.
Simon responded in such a friendly, patient and open manner to my in-depth questioning about the way he worked that I knew he was the right person to sell my late mother’s bungalow.
And I wasn’t disappointed. From the beautiful photos and video he and his team created – they really were impressive! – to Simon’s thorough and useful feedback from potential buyers and ongoing support to help move the sale along, I’ve been truly delighted with the first class service.
Living outside the area, on a couple of occasions, I have asked Simon to help with things that weren’t strictly within his remit. Nothing was too much trouble; Simon went above and beyond to help the sale complete.
Simon and Co may not be the cheapest estate agent you’ll find but, in my opinion, they are the nicest, classiest and best agents in Bournemouth.

Simon and the team gave exemplary service from day one. I felt some trepidation at first, as their strategy is quite different to the usual ole agent sat in the tired system. I need not have worried.
The photos and videos were simply stunning, even in my Victorian unfinished renovation project! They made me look at the house in a way I hadn’t for some years. I also received very frank yet respectful advice about each potential buyer that submitted offers, and I found that very helpful indeed. The house sold quickly and the team kept the sale on track, updating me with just the right frequency to keep me feeling in control. The communications were very reassuring and certainly kept my stress levels down.

I've bought through Simon & Co twice now, and honestly couldn't fault the service. I've never worked with estate agents who are so responsive. Simon's unique approach to selling property is founded upon a system backed up with evidence and sound logic. I went onto the market with my eyes wide open. Your property will be given the opportunity to find it's true market value through excellent exposure, high quality marketing and a streamlined system. He will cultivate an appetite for your property if you allow him to. You must buy into the man and his method. From my experience you will be glad that you did.
We went on the market in July and we were completed by the end of September even after 1 buyer pulled out with mortgage issues and another with legal problems, Simon had multiple backups at almost identical prices ready to jump on it, all because he cultivated the appetite for the property in an incredibly short window.
This deal could not have gone through with a cookie cutter estate agent given the timeline and the circumstances that myself and the buyer put on him.
Sol gave great feedback from all his viewings and kept me updated immediately. Clearly they are a great team and you will be in safe hands at every turn with whoever is driving the deal at that moment.
Simon went above and beyond to get the deal over the line.
3 key outcomes he delivered on for me.
1) He made me feel like he was over delivering, because he was.
2) I could see he had high standards for himself, his company and the people he's working with. I would hazard a guess that the person selling the 1 bed £95k flat is getting the same treatment that the person selling the £2m family home is getting. His system is ultimately what allows that to happen.
3) I could see that the details mattered to him.
The whole experience was excellent. I wish more people in business would remember that providing clients a service, at its core is an opportunity to serve people. He and his team did just that and I am very grateful.

The good guys of Estate Agents. Very friendly, reliable and were happy to help and advise us on the purchase of our apartment. We had several viewings and they were arranged promptly and without fuss. They arrived on time at the viewings and allowed us as much time as we needed. Any questions we had were answered honestly or relayed back to us in a timely manner. Communication was very good and done mainly on a WhatsApp Group chat, which worked very well.

Simon, Sol and the team were also great in ensuring that we had an impressive looking and comprehensive listing with a realistic guide price. Viewings were well notified and followed up by comprehensive feedback.
Liaison regarding the sale was also very good and we were kept informed of developments right the way through the process.

He did a great marketing job with a video and photos and presented my property very well which created a lot of interest, I accepted an offer very shortly afterwards
He kept me informed every step of the way through the WhatsApp group he set up. He was always there on the end of the phone and got back to me as soon as he could if I encountered any problems.
When I had an unexpected cost due to a problem which was neither mine or his fault he offered to pay that for me so that I could complete the sale.
I like the fact that he's a local independent company, it felt more personal than having to deal with a large multinational organisation.

Simon has a technique like no other estate agents. He gives full attention to the property he is selling and goes to great lengths providing videos and photographs to show the property in exact detail. His write ups are open and honest, showing all the expenses attached to the property so there are no hidden surprises. Simon really has evolved what it means to be an estate agent. I used Simon & Co following a recommendation from my partner who had used him with a previous sale.
I was really impressed with Simon's approach - he was incredibly clear and transparent with his process and sat down to take me through each step in the journey.
I was particularly impressed with his focus on capturing the property in the best possible light, using a wide array of photography and videography to give prospective buyers a well rounded view of what the property has to offer.
From my experience (and that of my partner) I can't recommend Simon enough - bottom line is that my property sold for 27% more than the original purchase price, within 3 years of me purchasing it - beating all of my expectations. Simon already had a buyer lined up and it was a quick sale - everything I was looking for.

These guys are great! We had a fairly complicated transaction for reasons outside of their control (a demanding chain and some unexpected works needed to the property) but they were totally on top of it and couldn't have done more to smooth the process and resolve the issues.
They don't spew meaningless jargon, they know their stuff, they care, they anticipate questions before they get them so that they already have the answers by the time you ask - or if they don't already know they find out, and actually follow up!
Most importantly, they want the best for everyone in the transaction. They aren't interested in ripping off buyers nor selling vendors short for an easy sale, and they were always patient and respectful with my solicitors and broker. (They didn't even bad-mouth the other agent higher up the chain causing the problems!)

Buying a house from Simon & Sol is a great experience, they keep you well informed and are very knowledgeable about the property. In the case of the one we purchased, Simon had even been involved with the sale to the current owners which is another great sign that they trusted him.

I never write reviews, but for Simon I feel I should make an exception. He agreed to sell my late Father’s house, despite it not being in the best of conditions. Estate Agents, we all still have in our heads the “typical” estate agent don't we!, well Simon is NOT that “Typical” guy! He is one of the best and loveliest Estate Agents I have come across! From his listings on websites like right move, so thorough, all information and more you need about the houses your looking at. His communication is A1, he is professional, yet friendly and very approachable. Basically jumps through hoops for you! He jumped a lot of hoops with me! Simon totally understood my tricky situation I was in and helped me no end. Basically without him I wouldn't be sat in my new house typing this! Simon works morning noon and night to ensure that your looked after, there when you need him, and looks after you through the whole process. I never want to move again! BUT if I did id be straight on the phone to Simon!

Simon is one of the loveliest and most down to earth people I have come across. He has an amazing professional / friendly balance. We wanted to sell our old home which in recent years had been rented out. Having not sold a property for over 20 years and feeling very delicate, after a poor experience with rental agents and bad tenants, we needed a person centered estate agent. He took the time to explain the process and listened to our concerns giving us peace of mind throughout. The fees were also very competitive. Once instructed he moved quickly and the photos and videos of our property were very flattering without being fake. Throughout our sale Simon kept us informed at every step and although there were a few stumbles along the way, (which were out of our and Simon's control), Simon reassured us and held our hand, quickly getting the sale back on track. We asked simon to sell our property due to him being recommended to us and also we liked his unusual but effective strategy for selling properties. He didn’t make promises for the sake of winning our business which differed from the other agents.
He did a high quality video and a great selection of professional photographs which you wouldn’t necessarily expect an agent to do on a 1 bedroom flat. The representation of the property was honest and reflected reality and generated a number of viewings quickly, which then led to a sale.
Throughout the sale he continued to push the solicitors and keep the cogs turning with excellent communication and problem solving and we got to exchange of contracts.
Simon and Co’s services excelled our expectations and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him again. We’d definitely use him again but, we are moving to Poland. Not sure if he can deal with Polish properties!, but if he could, we would use him to sell again!

As we were in Portugal due to Covid19 restrictions we didn’t think it would be very easy to sell our property. How wrong we were. Simon dealt with everything for us, co-ordinating the viewings with the tenants and potential buyers. The property went on the market on 19th December with the first viewing on 21st and was sold on 28th December. We had personal items in the garage and Simon took care of clearing the garage, arranging removers, storage and house clearance for all the things we had left. During a frustrating and unsuccessful 4-month period of trying to sell our home we were recommended Simon & Co by a friend. I’m so glad that I made that call!
From the outset we were so impressed with Simon’s work ethic, attention to detail and it quickly became obvious that he will not settle for anything less than perfection!
The quality of the pictures and video that he made of our home were outstanding – we almost considered staying! Simon generated a lot of interest as soon as the property was relisted and conducted lots of viewings off the back of this and secured several offers within days (above the marketed price). One thing that impressed us was that Simon added pictures of some of the negative aspects of our property (overlooked at the back) to give potential viewers a full and honest overview and not waste anyone’s time if it’s not the property for them. So many times you view listings of property’s online and you can totally see through that the agent is hiding the negatives.
The feedback we received from Simon immediately after each viewing via text message was nothing short of astonishing! Here’s an example: (names have been changed for GDPR reasons) “We have recently carried out a viewing with Mr & Mrs Brown who looked at your property on 6th July. Here is the initial feedback: Joan and her Husband Dave are a really cool older couple with a Son Jamie who is 13. They are sold STC to buyers who themselves are due to complete on their sale and move into a 2nd property in 2 weeks’ time. So their chain is not very long. You can see their property: (link inserted).
They seemed to really like the house – it was ‘as described’ and so really the kind of action that we are looking for. They thought the work you have done is great – nicely presented, nicely decorated, nicely furnished and so on. Upstairs all bedrooms were perfect sizes for their needs, a nice sized 2nd for Jamie and a 3rd, perfect for guests and an office. Liked the fitted storage and ability to fit more furniture in as well. They also commented positively about the full height windows as well here…
Bathroom – they liked the choice of fittings and tiles etc. as well…
So they seemed to really like it. Obviously positive viewings don’t always turn into offers so we need to keep our fingers crossed to see if anything develops. The only thing I have to look at for them is bus routes to Jamie’s school. I’m about to look at this now.”
Although lengthy, I wanted to include the above feedback to demonstrate the level of detail Simon will go to. We have purchased several houses before and have never experienced feedback as extensive as this. In our experience you normally end up having to chase the agent days later, the feedback, in most instances, is all too brief and you don’t really have a feel for how the viewing really went.
After our property went under offer unfortunately we did hit a bump in the road a few months later as our buyers couldn’t progress with the purchase due to issues with their own property. Simon remarketed our house within minutes and had it under offer again (for the same price) within 3 days. Simon’s speediness in relisting it and booking in viewings was absolutely critical as we were about to lose our dream home if we didn’t secure a new buyer for our house immediately. He was totally focussed on getting us under offer again as quickly as possible and yet again, he didn’t disappoint!
I feel many corporate Estate Agents could learn a lot from Simon & Co, whom are a small independent business, Simon impressed us constantly throughout the process and I just wouldn’t use another agent again, ever. We just can’t thank him enough for the high-quality service he provided us with. He’s definitely changed our perception of Estate Agents!

After trying to sell my flat in Bournemouth for almost three years, and at one point using five of the most recognised and established agents in the area, I was introduced to Simon.
Simon came to my flat at a time that was convenient to me and was honest about how to market my property and what price I was likely to achieve. We discussed when to put it back on the market and I left it to him.
Simon came back for about 3 hours and took many photos showing the property in detail, including the communal areas.
Once on the market we had a flurry of viewings and after each one Simon gave us a fully detailed feedback, usually within hours of the viewing.
Once the Covid 19 lockdown was lifted we had three viewings on the same day, a Sunday, when other agents choose not to work. Each of them were prepared to make an offer and Simon advised us which one to accept. We completed in about four weeks, mostly thanks to Simon's help and intervention.
He is most definitely the most impressive agent that I have ever used and I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone who genuinely wants to sell their property. We kept in touch the whole time, and Simon made himself available to chat or update during evenings and at weekends.
Simon has a very different approach than any other agent that I have used, but it works, and works well!

The most impressive agent I’ve used to sell a home in 20+ years. I rejected approaches from three major multi-branch agents due to Simon’s non-pushy and slightly non-standard, but highly effective, selling approach. Plus my sense that he genuinely wanted to sell my home - it wasn’t just “a job to do”.
Simon’s methods delivered more viewings and credible offers - in the depth of winter - than I expected, a quicker and smoother sale, and at a price I was hoping for. He was diligent and professional - well over an hour on-site to capture a large number of high-quality pictures, which he added to a comprehensive and well-written property profile. Same-day and clear feedback after viewings and I don’t recall ever having to chase him for anything. I sensed he was working equally attentively to potential buyers' needs and questions. Neighbours have already approached him to manage their own home sale.
If you value being able to meet your agent in a fancy high-street office, with half-a-dozen staff sitting there to answer phones, piles of glossy brochures, grand promises that they'll sell your home next week at thousands more than you expected, etc, then Simon’s not the agent for you. But if instead your priority is to actually sell, for a good price and swiftly, with minimal stress, and with great service from your agent, then he definitely is.

Simon recently sold our 2-bed flat in Meyrick Park Crescent, Bournemouth (no chain involved). It is a well maintained, top floor flat with a long lease and allocated parking space. In the beginning we put the flat on the market in Autumn 2018 when Brexit uncertainty was beginning to spook prospective buyers. After a slow start with six or so positive viewings we accepted an offer in September 2019. However, against the background of growing uncertainty, economic gloom and mortgage lending tightening the sale fell through in November 2019. The sales process was simply taking too long in such an uncertain time through no fault of Simon.
We took the flat off the market in December and decided to try again in January 2020. Following another six or so viewings we finally accepted an offer at the end of February 2020. Meanwhile, Covid-19 was making its presence felt and the property market was about to go into hibernation, not to mention solicitors being furloughed … Fortunately, the sale successfully completed in June 2020. Simon’s prompt feedback after viewings was excellent and we cannot stress enough the importance of good communications, particularly during times of uncertainty.
We are convinced that the sale went through against the odds because communication channels for buyer and seller were kept open and reassurances given when necessary. Big thank you from us, Simon.

After negative experience with local agents, we decided to meet Simon. I was very sceptical before meeting Simon but decided to give him a chance after reading reviews.
Simon seems to be a real estate agent who, in my definition, is not just a sales person but: a marketer, a photographer, a consultant, a buyer's and/or seller's negotiator, an analyst and what is the most important for me – a person who is there for you to guide you through very stressful process.
He is very informal what makes you comfortable to be around him but at the same time he is highly professional, honest and full of integrity.
It feels like he fully understands that to be successful in real estate requires a high level of self-motivation and creativity and Simon offers both of them in free package: you will not be asked to pay an extra for any marketing packages like other estate agencies do. He will come to take extremely professional photos and sacrifice his own time to prepare them to high standards what takes at least a few hours. I am very critical person when it comes to standards of photography and I was pleased with excellent shoots of our property and great attention to details.
Also, I find that Simon’s approach and strategy are the future of real estate – understanding responsibilities to their clients, code of ethics and the law and implementing this knowledge into practice. Clients are becoming more aware of potential issues when buying or selling properties, they ask more questions, have more queries. Unfortunately all agents I personally met know very little about properties they sell. Simon, yet again, is totally different. He will invest his time in scanning every single document you own to be able to answer any potential queries that prospective buyer may have. I was amazed by this transparency and honesty towards prospective buyers as I never met the agent who would be knowledgeable about property the show you.
On the top of that Simon is always available for you if you have any queries, issues or just need advice and re-assurance!

We first met Simon when viewing a property which turned out not to be right for us, but we were so impressed with his professionalism and attention to detail that we didn’t even consider any other agent to market our property. From talking us through his opinion on market value to holding the hands of our purchasers, we could not fault him. We’ve rarely encountered anyone who is prepared to put in so much effort both for us and the purchasers - he even chased up issues with the property we were planning to purchase and in fact the contrast between Simon and our vendors agent was glaringly obvious. Simon and Co proved to be a fantastic estate agent to purchase my property through. I saw the property on right move and rang Simon to book my viewing.
Simon is unlike most estate agents and I found him to be very honest and extremely helpful throughout the process. After having my offer accepted on the house he was on hand at all hours of the day 7 days per week to answer questions. It was a complicated chain and Simon fought to ensure the chain moved along.
He is hard working and has a refreshing attitude, one that I have never experienced with an estate agent before (this is the 3rd house I have purchased and have sold 2 houses).

We had seen the property we wanted to buy before putting ours on the market. We were just coming to the end of our renovations and were hopeful of finding an estate agent who would be understanding of our situation and achieve a good price quickly.
We "interviewed" three estate agents, a large regional chain, a local single office agency, and Simon.
The large regional chain were hopeless, arriving 15mins late for a valuation, before advising a very low figure just because a property a few roads over was similar.
The local single office agency were great, but just told us what we wanted to hear, and had the usual approach of going with a high figure and accepting offers.
Simon was immediately different. He listened to our thoughts and ideas, told us what we needed to hear and how he would make it work. We went with an aggressive figure but were confident Simon's approach would achieve higher, and he didn't disappoint. Simon and I spent an entire morning photographing all aspects (good and not so good) of our property. Having a listing on RightMove with photos high in quality and quantity created an initial buzz when we launched. His communication through the viewing process (e.g. logistics and feedback) was exemplary. Within a week we had two offers, within 10 days we had sold.
We had never sold a property before, nor been a link in a chain. As such we had no reason to appreciate the role an estate agent plays once an offer has been accepted. Solicitors and surveyors, as their roles dictate, make everything sound scary. Simon's candour, communication skills and dogged persistence to see us through to exchange of contracts was very welcome. He was a sane voice amongst the stress.
Overall, we can't recommend Simon enough. We're grateful we took the chance, but in reality we knew it wasn't a risk as soon as we met him.

Simon was the first honest truthful estate agent I have met in my 70yrs of life.
He viewed it took some lovely photos and recommended we ask for offers of 150K.
Each person who viewed the flat he sent me a report and discounted those who offered silly low offers.
Within three weeks it was sold for 161K quite remarkable.

We sold our house recently through Simon and it was the best-selling experience we have ever had. From start to finish Simon was friendly, approachable, honest and professional. We originally met Simon when viewing a property that he had for sale and were so impressed with the service he was giving us as buyers, we vowed to use him should we ever decide to sell ourselves. Several weeks later after finding the house we wanted to purchase, we contacted Simon to put ours on the market.
He was meticulous with the details and photos, showing our house in the best possible light, but also in a realistic way so the viewer wouldn’t have any nasty surprises when they came around. Something we have experienced ourselves many times when viewing.

From initial consultation (charming, genuine, and he actually LISTENED to us and AGREED an approach to marketing our property – as opposed to TELLING us), through to photographing our home (he has highly developed photographic skills which he uses to maximum effect to showcase properties in their best possible light, whilst at the same time presenting them realistically – no attempts here to make rooms look larger than they actually are for example), marketing it (which he did very quickly, generating lots and lots of interest in an extremely short space of time), conducting all viewings, pro-actively maintaining contacts and pursuing leads when the initial sale fell through, then smoothly and professionally co-ordinating everything through to exchange and eventual completion (acting as a focal point for communications between ourselves and those either side of our chain, including their estate agents and even our/their solicitors – expertly nudging things along to ensure completion within the desired time-frame), Simon delivered a first class service far above and beyond all expectations!! Our sale did not go without hitch, but Simon always remained calm and professional under pressure, instilling confidence and perseverance in us and keeping us from tearing our hair out at times! Unlike other estate agents, Simon is also available 7 days a week, pretty much 24/7 – and it’s this unusual availability that plays a major part in him being able to be so hands-on and to progress matters so promptly and efficiently. With regard to Simon’s fee – this is highly competitive and, especially given his inbuilt desire to always go the extra mile, very much worth every single penny!
Whether buying or selling, we couldn’t recommend Simon & Co more highly!!

From the minute I spoke to Simon I knew he was unlike any other estate agent.......In a good way, a really really good way :)
Simon not only helped me to sell my flat, but also sell my fiancee's house and jointly buy our first home together, he is literally superhuman! I have no idea how he manages to juggle so much especially knowing the kind of lengths he goes to with all of his clients. He is amazing! He is always on the other end of the phone if you need him (no joke, this man can't sleep), but more importantly provides you with the best advice, updates and support completely unprompted. He will do EVERYTHING and ANYTHING to make sure it's as stress free a process as possible. He is the most genuine and honest person I've ever had the pleasure of meeting in this kind of industry!
He sold my flat almost instantly, his presentation on Rightmove is unlike any other. Amazing pictures and will accommodate viewings outside of normal 'office hours' (along with a million other things he does for you outside standard hours). From driving over to sign witness papers, dropping them to your solicitor, calling your solicitor to get things moving and even taking the meter readings on day of completion. The list is endless! His rates are really competitive too, considering everything Simon does he could easily wack up his fees but he just wants to do the best for his clients. A selfless estate agent!
Genuinely can't fault Simon's work ethic, he goes that extra mile that so many estate agents lack these days, and because it's just an intrinsic part of his personality you know that won't ever change. Thanks so much for everything, you are AMAZE :)

I purchased my first property from Simon in May 2015. From the first viewing I was impressed with the service Simon and Co offered. The details gave an accurate view of the flat, there were no surprises, and there was absolutely no pressure. Using Simon & has proved to be a brilliant decision for us selling. He came and valued our house at the end of October, and we put the house on the market on the 1st November. They took brilliant professional photos, that showed are house in a brilliant but not misleading light. He generated (in our case) 13 viewings in the first week, and 8 offers, 7 for the full asking price, and 1 over the asking price. It took 8 days from accepting an offer to exchanging contracts, and we completed on the 15th December. We were so impressed that we recommended him to our Daughter and Son in Law (they are selling their property, and we are combining finances to buy together). Simon & Co again took brilliant photos, generated quality viewings, and found a buyer in a good position ready to proceed quickly. They have just exchanged yesterday, and are due to complete on the 15th of January! - Simon Spicer has proved to be invaluable in dealing with all the enquiries, attending all the viewings, and pushing the sale through to completion whilst dealing with all parties, and taking as much stress out of the situation as we could wish for. We would highly recommend Simon & Co to all of our friends, not only for the great service, but also the competitive fees he was able to offer!

Simon&Co provided us with a down-to-earth and pro-active service when selling our house. Simon was recommended to us, and is massively more knowledgeable and easier to deal with than other estate agents i’ve dealt with. He also presented our house online with impressive professional photos which I know makes a distinct difference in attracting buyers to view the house.
The viewings were conducted in a matter of days, and resulted in a number of offers matching the expectations that Simon had set for us. Throughout the whole process Simon&Co have been on call, ready to offer advice, assisted us with filling in horrible forms, dealing with solicitors, surveyors and the rest, and simply making a quite daunting and potentially over-whelming experience not so.
Simon also pointed us in the right direction of our new house - it just shows how well he knows the market and understands his clients. A true pleasure to deal with and highly recommended.

Having used estate agents a number of times I can honestly say I have never had a better experience and service than that offered by Simon at Simon & Co. He provided a totally honest assessment of our sale property - so didn't get sucked into a unrealistic valuation - with the detail and research to back this up. The photos taken to market the property were simply stunning and made such a difference....my wife and I had never seen our house look that good! When it came to attracting interest the whole process was managed without any issues. I was politely kept informed of viewings/offers throughout the sale period and Simon never missed a trick, managing to get a great price for our property. For the purchase he was always on hand to offer advice and guidance on what can sometimes be a minefield of legal jargon and paperwork so really put our minds at rest in what is a stressful time.
Can't recommend Simon and the service he provides highly enough....professional, personal, knowledgeable and gets the job done with none of the usual waffle. He even returns calls...a particular estate agent gripe of mine!

I can't recommend Simon Spicer enough as an estate agent. He successfully helped me sell my flat in Charminster for more than I was expecting. He's a diligent, knowledgeable, and excellent estate agent (with integrity) who knows the local area inside and out. He's now helping me with building up a property portfolio as a landlord and I can't imagine working with anyone else. In short, give him a call.
