A difficult move, due to issues beyond the control of Taylor’s, Duston, however their professionalism & prescience made it far more tolerable.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!
Would give zero stars is possible, difficult to know where to start. Jamie the manager is extremely rude and unprofessional, and very often either talks over you or simply refuses to listen. Not sure how he was ever given a customer facing manager role - at one point when my partner was expressing his concerns over their rudeness and unprofessionalism, after unsuccessfully trying to talk over my partner as usual (which judging by other reviews seems to be a recurrent theme for him), Jamie simply ended the call on him claiming "rudeness" himself, which is laughable really considering the way he speaks to people.
Josh appears to favour the approach of lying about every single detail he can to try and encourage the customer to go ahead with a purchase, or simply get himself out of situations rather than admit that he does not have an answer to a question (or any answers at all, for that matter).
Because of the behaviour of the staff at this branch, we pulled out of a house purchase we were very happy with and had already paid legal fees for. They are a discredit to the company, and unfortunately will make us be extra cautious when considering even another branch for either a house purchase or sale. We have since opted for a different agent, who have gone above and beyond to accommodate us, showing that their are still agencies out there who are professional, reliable, and helpful.

I would not recommend this agency to anyone to be honest. Lack of communication, no professionalism, they absolutely don't care about you as a customer. Can't be bothered to answer the phone or reply to your email. Always complaining about how busy they are-well, hire more people then! Or telling you how many offers they had for that day but nothing for you.. like-I'm really not interested to receive this kind of information..or to hear you have 76 emails to go through. It's really not my problem!
Not recommending at all! There are much better agencies out there than this one.

We had previously tried to sell our house a couple of times over the last 2 years and having been on the market for 4 months on this occasion, we decided to instruct Taylors in the hope they could help us.
From this point we went from struggling to get any viewings at all, to Taylors selling our house within 24 hours!!
It wasn’t the most straight forward of sales, and we felt grateful to be reassured and informed throughout the process. Jamie in particular went above and beyond for us with fantastic customer service. It is clear everyone at Taylors really care about their customers and you not only get a great team of professionals who know the area well, they are also so friendly and a pleasure to work with.
I’m so pleased we chose Taylors and I’d recommend them to anyone.

We had a fantastic experience with Taylor’s selling our home 158 Southfield road. this was after a poor service from another local agency and 6 months of very little viewings and no offers. after marketing Joe sold our home in 24hours for asking price !!
The customer service was fantastic throughout. Being and older couple Jamie patiently explained the process, fees and everything clearly. His service has been amazing and the team were there every day to support us. always with a cup of tea. They relieved the pressure off of us throughout our sale , assisted with our onward purchase despite the property being with another out of area agent. Jamie even booked our viewings for us and helped to negotiate our offers in the office.The team have been there to assist with everything personal matters and any paperwork we needed help with. Jamie and his partner donated their own free time after work to assist us with clearing the property on the day of our move as our kids are out of the country and we had no local support. Jamie and joe helped us find our next home and even helped us move into our air b&b whilst we were waiting for our new home to complete.From selling our home to helping us plan our wedding - they helped with it all.
Our experience has been fantastic from start to finish and we will continue to pop into the branch to see the team. always a Warm welcome and couldn’t recommend Jamie ,Joe ,katelyn and the team enough!!!

What a horrendous ordeal purchasing a property through Taylors! Avoid the Duston Branch!
Summary Points:
- Poor Manager
- Slow Solicitors
- Dishonesty
Jamie (the office manager) shouldn't be costumer facing at all! He is rude, condescending, unprofessional, unethical, dishonest and quite frankly he has become known by me as the 'jack of all trades master of none'. This is a well earned title as Jamie always had to add his unsolicited, unprofessional and uninformed opinion to that of the professionals who conducted surveys and are trained in their field. Jamie seemed to 'doubt' the professional assessments made by trained individuals despite them clearly being accurate. Evidently, Jamie's technical understanding is lacking.
Having been wise enough to instruct our own solicitors, we faced significant issues with Taylors internal solicitors (Countrywide) who were used by the seller and the process from acceptance of our offer to completion was around 5 months. Our solicitors average time was said to be between 8-12 weeks and it ended up taking around 21 weeks. I put most of that down to Taylors internal solicitors dragging their heels with any responses or communications.
Unfortunately, the numerous bad encounters with Jamie are one of the key drivers behind the low rating however, it would be unfair for me to not recognize Joe for his effort, generosity, kindness and patience with us as we went through our inquiries and addressed our concerns with the seller through him. Joe was pleasant to interact with, and I commend him on his engagement and believe he is an asset to Taylors. Unfortunately, his efforts are ruined by others and my overall experience working with Taylors has been poor.
If you can work out a way of working with Joe and only Joe then I could recommend Taylors however, I believe this is highly unlikely and as such you are best looking for other Estate agents.

After two sales that fell through with another agency, I asked Tim at Taylors Duston to market my house. On the very first day, before the property had even been advertised, Tim found me a buyer (who had incidentally also been on the other agents books but they hadn't shown her my property) who has now moved in. The sale took a very long time as it was a fairly long chain with a couple of incompetent conveyancers at the bottom but Tim did all he could to chase up and keep me informed. I would recommend using Taylors

Just recently completed as first time buyer, buying through Taylors. Tim & Jamie were decent, honest and up front, and I never had to chase anything up. I was dubious to use their in house mortgage advice, but my scepticism was proven wrong as I got much better advice! Same again for conveyancing, you hear bad rumours about using agent recommendations, but the solicitors as promised were excellent and got me through to completion quickly! I hope to be in this house for a long time but if I were to sell I would definitely get back in touch with Taylors.

Property just released to the market, contacted Taylors(Joe) 30 min after to book a viewing the same or following day. To be told he could not reach the vendors that day or the following day. Called a day later to ask again, one of his colleagues answered the phone as he was on annual leave and said that the house had viewings the day we were asking and that they already had an offer. I think you are just liars, playing with the hopes of people and then saying that because our property was not in the market we could not have a viewing. Well, as easy as saying that from the very beginning! But wait, there was one thing you were very quick at booking: the mortgage advisor and property valuation for us…now I get it, if we get caught on the mortgage advisory or selling with you then you treat with preference because you are only interested in earning more money. Avoid if you can!

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid!!! This is the worst estate agents. I had a really poor experience a few years ago. Thought I'd give them a second chance but they are equally as awful. Probably worse. Tim the agent has absolutely no idea what he's doing, kept calling me about houses coming up for sale, promising I'd get a call before they went online. I'd then see them online and call for a viewing, 3 times I was told "I was just about to call you". Never had any response to my last email after I put in an offer. Absolutely shocking. Do not waste your time with this sham of an agent.

As a first time buyer it was very simple, he put me at ease and didn’t speak to me in estate agent form, he told me how it was in an understanding way!!
