Tried to simply arrange a booking, Joanne is possibly the rudest most aggressive agent I have ever dealt with in 30 years. Never use these people. Expect them to call you back and harass you.

Would give -5 stars if possible. Honestly the worst agents I have ever experienced. We've been left with a mould issue for over a year, I was told last week..it's all a bit dramatic! We got served an eviction notice at the start of our tenancy because our toilet was unusable and I got frustrated with them because they were in no rush to repair it. More recently they are trying to kick me and my pregnant wife out in two days, not following the laws of eviction, and this is because they've spat their dummy out because I've challenged them and their pride has been dented. They seem to create their own rules and regulations in regards to tenancys and I would categorigaly avoid these people at all cost if you're looking to rent

Got an email from the “Director” when I put a request in Rightmove. Rude and uncalled for when the email could have been so much nicer. Rang up and asked what the email was about and advised by the guy on the reception that it’s just an email. Told them I don’t want to view the property anymore due to customer service being dire.

Have to say renting a property for a couple of years with them the service has always been fantastic and if there was ever a problem it was sorted ASAP, I have to say this is the best estate agents we have ever used since living in Manchester. Absolute joke of an estate agents, supposed to move into a rental property at 10am on the 24/05. Just because I wanted to see the contract before making the final payment (Already paid £1200) they or as they blame the landlord decided to stop the the tenancy less than 24 hrs before I'm due to move in. I've order beds everything to be delivered the next day and got told that was my problem. They didn't even call me to say that its been pulled i found out when i was refunded and had to call them. They blame the landlord as its a easy out so they can't be blamed, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Also they have a terrible attitude and think i was wrong for been angry, now homeless with 3 brand new beds

I phoned to book a viewing for one of their properties to rent, instead I was interrogated with a line of unnecessary personal questions and a variety of baseless accusations were thrown at me. I have never had to endure such terrible behaviour in my life from someone who doesn't know me at all.

I rented a flat through Tierney Property Management for nearly two years. The processes of viewing and then renting the flat were straight forward, and it was a very short time from initial viewing to moving in.
During my time there I had a few relatively minor issues with the property but each time the issue was dealt with quickly and without fuss. Tierney Property Management contacted the landlords promptly and communicated back with me very quickly. I never had to chase anything.
Most of the communication was by email, but occassionally I would phone, or drop into the office. Always friendly, always helpful, always professional.
I had to leave the property before the end of my contract due to COVID and they arranged with the landlord to start viewings as soon as I had gone. This was also done quickly and I very much appreciate them making the effort.
Overall I was very happy with them and if I ever end up back in Stalybridge I would rent through them again without hesitation. Thanks folks!

Me and my partner went to see a 3 bedroom property today. To start we was greeted with not much but a quick hello and ushered in. I asked a little bit about the radiators and was told “it’s not you’re business. You only have 10 minutes to look I’m doing a block viewing today” I asked if he would except a property with just 10 minutes and no questions aloud ? I was then told “I’m Mike tierney and I’ve been selling houses for 20 years” It was at that point we left. I’ve left the review in the hopes that the poor landlady who owns 3 bedroom in Ashton under lyne Hutton avenue knows how the treat potential rental tenants (2nd class maybe 3rd in there eyes) What a shame as the property was perfect but the other review on google leaves no doubt in my mind on how Tierney Property Management treats potential rental tenants.

This was my first time buying a house so not entirely sure what to expect from an estate agents. I was able to view the property the same day as them contacting me to arrange the viewing. Would have liked a little longer to view it but was happy with what I saw. I did struggle to get a second viewing as to how busy it was and they did say after the second viewing there wouldn't be any more until completion. I mainly spoke with Alex who was always lovely on the phone. If there was one thing that bugged me, it was the handing over of the keys, I honestly could have been anyone, as there weren't any ID checks to make sure I was who I said I was. Other than this I didn't have much contact with them through the 4 months it took to complete the purchase but I am happy with my first home which I think is what matters. No one ever said it was an easy process!

We started renting through Tierney Property Ltd last year when we had to find alternative accommodation as the house we were renting was being sold. The staff at Tierneys were most helpful and understanding and talked us through the procedure explaining what we were entitled to expect from the landlord who’s house was being sold. This was a great relief and help for us at a quite worrying time. The past year whenever anything needed to be sorted (broken fridge) it was done as quickly as possible with the minimum of fuss. Always happy to help and explain things if we had any queries.
Now we have to move again as the house we are currently in is being sold also. Right from the start Joanne was upfront with us and was very positive. Within a week she had found us a lovely property which is a definite long term and just what we wanted.
We are both in our 70’s and the help and friendliness from Mike and Alex as well as Joanne have been invaluable helpers and nothing ever seems to be any trouble at all. We consider them as friends as well as business contacts and are by far the best estate agent company we have had contact with.

I have been renting a property with Tierney for the past 3 years and cannot fault them at all. I used Tierney when I wanted to rent my mums house after she had died. I had no experience of being a landlord.
Mike and Jo came and were blunt and honest about what I needed to do to meet their standards. From that time on they have maintained those high standards.

I would rather rent through the Russian mafia than use this letting agent again! If you enjoy being dragged through broken glass by your face in a bath of vinegar, I would highly reccomend dealing with this establishment.

The owner of this company is nasty and aggressive and constantly trying to frustrate the sale of the property I am purchasing. He is also refusing to take the property of the market despite me carrying out a survey even though he promised it would be taken of the market as soon as those steps are done. Not the level of service I expect when spending such a large amount of money on a property.

My unusual circumstances meant I was worried that letting agents would be wary of taking me on. However, I explained my predicament to Joanne and Mike, and they were happy to work with me and advocate for me to the proerty's owner. I appreciated the effort they put into getting to know me personally, rather than making assumptions based on a checklist.
There were a few things I'd do differently next time: personally I need some time in a place to look around and evaluate it, and inevitably agents can't spent long over a viewing. Unlike others I met, though, Mike did not try to push me or to "sell" the dwellings we looked at: he just gave me a tour and let me look. There were one or two aspects of the paperwork that could be tidied up, too - a clause that made it sound as if my deposit was not refundable unless the owner withdrew the property, for example.
Overall, I was very happy with the communications we had, and with the relationship I have developed with Alex, Joanne, and Mike. It give me confidence that I will be able to work with them constructively throughout my tenancy.

Phoned to arrange a viewing on a property, and was told they were too busy. When I asked to speak to someone else, the lady shouted at me and put the phone down..... I’m still a bit stunned.

People only seem to review when they have a bad experience. Personally I've found Tierney and their people friendly and helpful. I had a boiler leak first thing on Sunday while they were closed, they replied to my message in ten minutes to tell me what to do. Great people.

If I could give a minus score I would.. we rented a property off them a while ago I am disabled and they couldnt give a crap.. They dragged there heals on even the simplest jobs, we waited over 18months just for them to fix our toilet.. it was embarrasing.
The property needed a lot of work, we were basically living in a slum..
Yes Mike you are a slum landlord..
They made numerous promises to get us into the property and then didnt do any of them...
Avoid these people at all costs.. all they care about is money, they do not care about tennants or clients, once they have your money that's it. they have you...
