BAIT & SWITCH TACTICS to get us in our contract followed by an awful experiences. They spoke down to me and my two housemates like we were children, they have missed invoices, given incorrect and/or unbroken down invoices, undercharged us and overcharged us. Extremely unprofessional and dishonest staff, they do not even deserve 1 star. Wanted to rent a house at university and Matt from LetCo told us to our faces that rent would be £95 per week with all bills included; paid the agency fee of £200 each (5 of us) as eagerly requested then afterwards told property would be £412 a month no bills included which is unaffordable for us so we have not proceeded and LetCo have stolen £1,000 (from agency fees). Awful communication and dishonesty from Matt claiming he never told us the original pricing that he did.. very unimpressed- highly recommend a different agency!... Read more

Unprofessional and an absolute lack of communication. As a student, I've been moved in for 3 months and am still facing problems which should've been sorted before the move in date. It seems to be problem after problem with LetCo. Would strongly advise to stay away! ... Read more

In all honesty started out good, then rapidly went downhill. Lack of communication, then bombarded me with calls and emails when they want money. Very rude team, asking for renewal fees 8 months in advance. Horrendous to deal with especially any problems they do nothing to help you at all. I would seriously suggest staying away from this company, and estate agents on a whole! Try go through landlords much easier. Overall absolutely terrible service from let co. To do this day still seriously bad. If I could I would give them 0 stars but it won't let me.... Read more

Do not use this estate agency! spacially if you are a student use the student website for houses with private owners. i never had any problems with private owners or ever heard anything bad. but top let it still is (2 years after) the worst experience i ever had with a house, As soon as they get the money they never respond and they are very rude They won't do anything you ask them, or anything they promise, if something stop working like the washing machine in my case they won't do anything to fix it and then they will charge you for that You will never get your deposit back!! ... Do not use this estate agent!!!! They have such poor communication skills its a wonder how they are still in business. Probably the reason they have only one branch in the whole of Portsmouth. You will not get your deposit back! I am currently in the process of trying to get my deposit back now. I will post reviews on this company on every reviews site possible. They are terrible!!!!... Top-Let got me a last minute viewing on a property and I later decided to snap it up. The property management team are amazing. My maintenance issues that I have had during my first few weeks have been sorted straight away without any hassle. Rented my property through Top-Let for the last three years... they have been fantastic... High rent, very fast payment each month... professional photos make my apartment look better than it is!! Mainteance has been quick and reasonably priced...Top-Let are a pleasure to deal with and I recommend them highly... thank you Top-Let... keep doing what you do!! We have been using the services of Simon and his team to manage our properties for a few years. Initially I personally felt that there was no need to pay for a company to manage our properties as they were all brand new 'how hard could it be'. How wrong I was, The truth about letting properties is that you encounter problems you never imagined. Simon has gone out of his way to rectify several issues for us ensuring that our tenants are totally satisfied. Robyn has taken care of all of the paperwork and legalities (this alone saved me so much time). Late payments or non payments are all part of letting properties but Top Let have reacted immediately by taking the necessary contractual steps to ensure we have always been safe guarded. The whole team are friendly, professional and approachable even out of hours. Nothing is too much trouble. If your considering taking on a management company to let your properties then Top Let are a great choice in my opinion.Thanks guys ... Read more
