I recently sold my property through Wardhaugh, and found the staff to be extremely personable and knowledgeable. The sale encountered some difficulties, however Jen and Roddy were there to offer sound advice and reassurance, which ultimately resulted in a successful conclusion. The photography and marketing service was extremely good, and weekend and out of hours viewings were included in the service. Overall, I was extremely happy with the service provided, and would recommend.

Surprised this company continues to get business, like a wild goose chase trying to get a response from Lesley who deals with the lettings. Very unprofessional and unresponsive, good luck to anyone who is interested in a listing. I certainly won’t be taking or bringing business to Wardhaugh, so many other professional estate agents in the area, my advice - stay clear!

Everything from managing a property/invoices/updates and a final inspection is terrible.stay away if you don't want to pay %10 fee and do everything yourself.

They are a good bunch of people, honest and helpful. Really hard to find a place to live right now and they have great properties, but it was difficult as the flats i liked were going even before i saw them on the website, true to form they kept me updated and helped to secure a place.

Trying to rent a Forfar property, thier process is inflexible, not working and when I tried to visit in person I was patronised beyond my patience levels. I would recommend using any other letting agency unless you possess the patience of a Saint and the luck of the devil. Very poor service indeed.

Lori has just recently taken over the running of property maintenence and I have to say she has done an amazing job. In the space of 10 days I've had all my issues addressed that have been ongoing for quite a long time. Lori is the kind of employee that is worth her weight in gold, polite,professional, understanding and empathetic and treats you like a person not a job and an asset to the company.

Amazing that anyone manages to rent through these jokers. Have been looking at properties for the past few weeks now. Very slow/ almost non responsive to emails. Initial applications seem to have been disregarded. Differing information depending on which branch you call. Obviously looking for that certain clientele, god help anyone actually renting through these people, deary me.

I have worked with a number of letting agents and my experience with Wardhaugh has been far and away the best. I had been with my prior letting agent for over ten years but as they got bigger the service had drastically deteriorated so after a very positive recommendation I moved to Wardhaugh. The experience has been fantastic and a total breathe of fresh air, the service is very personal plus highly professional and proactive and I would have absolute confidence in recommending them to anybody.

I recently had a virtual valuation organised, I was very impressed with the service, organised quickly and on the day Roddy was so knowledgable and helpful answering all my questions, I am now in the middle of putting house on the sales market with them. Both Roddy and Claire have been great throughout, Respond quickly and made the process so much easier. I have been very impressed how they have managed to adapt during the pandemic and still provide outstanding service

Had dealings with other local agency In Montrose and they were awful , didn’t realise wardhaugh had a Brechin office - so walked in off the street. They were professional, honest and great to deal with. Amanda gave me some great advise - much appreciated

Wardhaugh have now rented out our properties 5 times. I would now go nowhere else. I have also sold one property through Wardhaugh and I was delighted with the results.
They are exceptionally good. Professional,friendly informative in fact everything you would want an estate agent to be.

Very Good, don't usually leave a review but thought I should as they have really been marvellous to me as a Landlord, (my tenants think they are great as well), responsive, knowledgeable and will always give you the truth ( wether you want to hear it or not ). I have looked after my properties myself for a long time and wasnt sure how this would work out ( usual bad experience with another local letting agent in the past) but have no regrets... well other than the fact i should have done it years ago. Give them a go, they wont dissapoint.

Wardhaugh Letting Agent (Arbroath) have been an incredibly supportive agency to me over the past 2 years, with their Letting Service. Managing four apartments on my behalf for past 2 years and the various tenants who occupied the properties. I always felt completely at ease knowing Adele, and team were there to look after any enquires or issues. During a recent handover of apartment, Adele went the extra mile to personally ensure recovery of funds from Safe Deposit Scotland, went as smoothly and quickly as possible. I highly recommend this agency to anyone looking to rent or buy in the local area and have referred a friend to seek their expertise . Their local knowledge and professional approach really sets them apart.

Very unprofessional. I spoke to a girl called Nicky who couldn't answer a question directly apart from stating the landlord wouldn't accept disabled claimants. Isn't this discrimination I asked ? I don't know, she said I've only been here two months. Give this girl some training before letting her loose on the public!

Wardhaugh are absolutely unprofessional and nasty,
After renting a property and asking for repairs that were dangerous to my family's health, they refused to address these, they wouldn't answer emails and Fiona the manager at Forfar would shout nastily on the phone if you dared call the office and speak to her about these.
Boiler stopped working in the middle of winter, 3 children under 5, wardhaugh would not fix this, we had to fix this from our own pocket.
One of the few times they had one of their own workmen in they broke something in the house and wardhaugh tried to bill myself and my husband for this!
I have had threatening calls from the company, I have been called a various range of names from this place also!
A friend went to view one of their properties and was turned away as he didn't look the part to live in the area, without even viewing the house.
In the end, my family had to leave here due to high stress and other health concerns related to the condition the property was allowed to deteriorate to at the hands of the agents.
I would advise anyone who considers renting from this agency to avoid them. We went on to buy a new home, and I wouldn't line Wardhaugh's pockets by buying one of their properties, thank you Wardhaugh for making our life hell for 2 year and pushing us into the property ladder!

Myself and partner recently used Wardhaugh to find ourselves a property to rent. We are so happy with the service they provided. They are timely and professional, approachable with any queries aswell. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a first time home or otherwise!

Awful service. Set up viewings for 3 properties in Arbroath. Got there a few minutes late (literally, we had come from Dundee for them), and the sour faced guy (Robin) said we could only view 1 of the properties because the other ones had been applied for. Fair enough, but the entire viewing was a negative experience, not the flat for us but the guy didn't know a thing about it, never smiled or looked remotely interested.
Couple of weeks later, noticed both of the other flats still for rent, so we set up a viewing for one of them without issue. Got there on the day, (on time) and wandered about the complex until we realised nobody was coming. Phoned them up, they claimed to have the wrong phone number for us, and that our rep (Max) had been "taken out of the office unexpectedly." Shan't be going back to Wardhaugh. Absolute unprofessional nonsense.
Update: Couple of weeks later still, my parents arrange to view two properties, with Max. 4 of us go, nobody turns up. Dad calls after 15 minutes. They say (without checking anything) that Max was held up at a previous appointment and would be there in 5. 10 minutes later Robin shows up, and apologizes (unconvincingly, like he had been told to say that), and shows us the flat. We couldn't view the second property because it was only on the website to 'generate interest', but he offers another at the top of our budget. We go see it, perfect place. We decide an hour later we're having it, go into the shop to be told the price is £50 more than what Robin said, they need ID, and bank statements, and they look for us to be earning £16.5k a year. Which we don't. This wasn't mentioned at the viewings and I take great insult to have been told, you're not good enough for this flat. Actually livid about this.

They not only discriminate against disabled people claiming benefits, they also make assumptions on what your disability is and assume you can't read. Jennifer, not all disabilities mean you can't walk or use stairs. Very disappointing.
