Williams Rose were brilliant handling the purchase of my property. There were a few issues along the road, Ben Ryan dealt with me patiently, kindly, with immediate responses (which meant a lot, I was never left hanging). I especially appreciated communication using Whatsapp, so quick and easy. I wish I could say I had the same service for my Sale, Douglas Allen felt quite aggressive at times, wish I signed with William Rose.

I originally trusted William Rose because of the positive online reviews, but my experience with Ben has been just negative. I viewed a flat first when it wasn't even on the market yet, I proactively and constantly engaged with Ben for over 2 months despite getting back a bare minimum communication after several reminders and 4 seriously good offers. At a certain point, I decided to pause as bidding against myself was non-sense (especially in the current market circumstances) and also because every single time my offer was rejected, they were constantly asking for 10K more (surprise!) despite the twin flat next door (also 5 sqm bigger) being sold by the same agency for much less only a few weeks earlier. My last two offers were described by Ben himself as fantastic, but he always failed to communicate them properly to the seller and I always had to chase him for a response. Despite this lack of communication, I actively kept calling the office and send emails weekly to have an update, I also reopened the conversation after pausing it when my fourth offer was rejected again. The only week I couldn't follow up was the last one as I had an health emergency and stayed at the hospital for three days. As soon as I came back home, I rang William Rose office not once, but twice the same day asking for Ben and an update about the flat's situation again. He never returned my call and then at the end of the same day the agency changed the flat status as under offer without any notification. I cannot describe how disappointed, frustrated and upset I am, hence I decided to let the agency's owner know about this situation. I appreciate Jay promptly replied, but it was only to protect his own business (not to understand the bad service provided) which drove me insane as I cannot stand hypocrisy. My point is not about the final outcome led by a terribly bad communication, but on the way this sale process has been poorly handled by Ben and William Rose. I understand this is a wild and unregulated market, but I would expect the minimum respect (such as returning a phone call) for the people involved in this stressful and life changing process.
