We sold through W&S, start to finish a professional service: initial meeting, valuation, brochures and general communications are good. Grant and Chloe were especially good.
Really did push the process through once the chain was complete and neared completion.
We were not the easiest clients to deal with, but no request was too much.

I have just sold my late mother’s bungalow in East Horsley and would thoroughly recommend Wills & Smerdon. Not only did they handle the marketing and sale of the property but they also managed a letting of the property for some 18 months. Throughout that period the whole team were friendly, helpful and professional.
The whole process became complicated by the Covid19 lockdown. Our tenant could not move out by the due date, surveyors and workmen were unable to go into the property and it was a difficult period, which the Wills & Smerdon team handled with admirable professionalism.

When we bought our home in East Horsley, it was with a view to renting it immediately and having it as our future home when we returned to the UK. Wills & Smerdon were the agents for the vendor and we were impressed by their efficiency throughout.
We also wanted a letting agent with a lot of local knowledge and we were very aware that they had an excellent reputation in that area. And we were certainly not disappointed. They have made the letting-process as easy and seamless as possible, keeping us informed at all times, ensuring that any maintenance was carried out as swiftly as possible and ensuring we had a worry-free property.

After 16 months of trying to sell (yes, 16!) with two other agents, we went to W&S hoping they could bring fresh eyes and make suggestions on how we could shift our house in a tricky market. From the word go, I was treated by pleasant, professional and lovely people with James coming from what I call 'the old school but trustworthy' way of selling. Having been an agent myself in the past, it was refreshing to see that making an effort to sell rather than just relying on Rightmove/Prime location enquiries was still at the core of what W&S do. They sold our house on the second viewing within about a week of having it on the market. I believe this is because they'd invested time and money in photographing it beautifully and providing us with a lovely brochure. They really did go out of their way to provide a fresh look, and every single call/email was followed up quickly. I honestly couldn't recommend them highly enough and only wish I hadn't wasted my time on two other agents prior. (The reason we didn't have them first time round were due to me buying the house through one agent, and working for the others years and years ago!) Thank you again W&S!!

I have rented my house through Wills and Smerdon for 12 years. The team has always been very supportive and professional, sorting out any issues that have cropped up with the house efficiently and with minimum fuss. Now that I live quite far away I am reassured that my property is is being looked after by trusted professionals. I feel they are very reasonable people looking after both the landlord’s and tenant’s interests impartially and fairly. As all the regulations involved in letting a house get more complicated it is good to work with an agency that has up to date knowledge of the legalities to take that responsibility off my hands and ensure that everything is done properly.
