Followed the address on the website and it took me to the middle of no where called the number and no one picked up. I then arrived and no one was working and just chatting and said they are busy that’s why no one answered the call. I’ve been dealing with this company for 1 month and no one ever picks up the phone. Very difficult company to deal with. Management or the boss please look into the staff very unprofessional.

I recently purchased a house that was sold by Hurfords. From my very first phone call enquiring about the property for sale to the moment I collected my keys, the ladies who I spoke to and met were simply amazing!<br>When I put my initial offer in, Liza was efficient, friendly and helpful. She kept me updated throughout. Replying quickly and keeping me informed. Caitlin showed me around the property three times and each time she was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Nothing was too much hassle. I hope to stay in my new home for many years but if I ever decide to sell, I would 100% sell via Hurfords and would recommend to anyone. Thank you Liza and Caitlin.

Claire Talbot at Hurfords Uppingham was a wonderful support for us when negotiating the purchase of our property. She was on hand to support us throughout the whole process. She has a really in depth market knowledge and we have been thrilled with her service.<br>She also recommended their in house conveyancer who have also been amazing throughout the process.<br>Thanks Claire, we couldn't have done it without you!

I sold my house in Oakham earlier this year through Hurfords and can't recommend them highly enough.<br><br>The team were professional, friendly, on the ball and the customer care was impressive throughout. I never had to chase for anything and always felt that they were working hard on my behalf and cared about the sale. It's also worth mentioning that I accepted an offer after just one day of viewings, so they obviously positioned it just right as well.<br><br>In particular, Claire, was absolutely brilliant - she went above and beyond and was such a source of support that I genuinely think we would have missed our completion date without her as she seemed to do more than the solicitors. Thank you again, Claire!<br><br>I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them have already done so.

Extremely disappointing experience with Hurfords Castor throughout my purchase process.
What should have been a straightforward communication chain turned into months of chasing, repeated follow-ups and broken promises of “we’ll call you back” that rarely materialised.
The most frustrating part has not even been the complexity of the transaction itself, but the complete lack of ownership and urgency despite the fact that my mortgage expiry date was clearly communicated multiple times.
I repeatedly found myself having to:
chase updates that were promised but never provided
follow up multiple times on simple requests
contact the office to find out who was even covering the file when the assigned agent was unavailable
ask several times for communications to simply be forwarded to the seller
At this stage of the transaction, with only days remaining before mortgage expiry, I still found myself struggling to get basic callbacks and confirmations.
Reading other reviews, I can unfortunately see that many people appear to have experienced very similar issues around communication and follow-through.
Buying a property is stressful enough without clients having to constantly manage the estate agency themselves just to keep momentum on the transaction.
I have attached asked the director to intervene at the end of January 2026. It is now May and I still haven't got any replies, nor witnessed any improvements in their client service.

I'd happily recommend Sharman Quinney to anyone looking for mortgage advisor. I used them to get a mortgage for purchasing my first house. Phil was extremely helpful and made the experience very easy. I had been left in the dark by another mortgage advisor which made the start of the already daunting experience even worse. Phil set me at ease, he made the effort to keep in contact and guide me through the whole process. He explained everything clearly and offered good advice wherever I was unsure. All while being a genuine and friendly guy who clearly cares about his client’s needs.
