4th Feb 2021 (4 years ago)From day one Sam at CCL has been very helpful in guiding me in the process of selling my property and has kept me updated, well informed and helped in every way possible. He is very obliging and I find him very approachable.
22nd Oct 2025 (26 days ago)Very disappointed with my selling experience with McEwan Fraser. I paid for the upgraded service and definitely did not feel this was value for money. I think all estate agents aren't very good, but I couldn't with a clean conscious suggest McEwan Fraser to anyone. It would often take at least 24hrs for someone to get back in touch with me (sometimes almost a week) and if I called after 6 then the only option was for them to ask someone to call me back the next day. This is one of the key selling points of their upgraded package and it was a total waste of money.

24th Oct 2025 (24 days ago)Very bad experience I viewed 3 to 4 properties with them but they are not letting us. Every time they giving a call and saying the landlord selected other tenants. Like what’s the point to let us view the property first. If they don’t want to rent the property to us .

23rd Oct 2025 (25 days ago)As Trustees of my recently deceased Fathers will and estate they are refusing to manage his estate. I was advised by telephone that the senior partners advise of not doing 'conflict'. No further explanation than this. A very disloyal response for the thousands of pounds my father spent over his lifetime with this company. I have now been referred to the SLCC by the Law Society.

3rd Nov 2023 (2 years ago)(While the company did finally provide compensation, it's important to note that I still experienced a significant opportunity cost as a result of their actions.) It has undeniably been the most regrettable experience of my lifetime, dealing with a solicitor team that exhibited a severe lack of professionalism and courtesy. Initially, I placed my trust in them based on their positive Google reviews, which now appear to be misleading and have led to significant frustration and inconvenience on my part. The solicitor in question was Shari, who astonishingly took a full year to complete the anti-money laundering check, despite my having submitted all required documents promptly. To compound matters, she repeatedly requested the same information, leading to redundant submissions. Regrettably, she ceased all communication, failing to respond to both my emails and those from the seller's side. My attempts to reach her went unanswered for two months until she seemingly disappeared without a trace. I was dismayed to find myself in such a predicament. In desperation, I enlisted the assistance of the estate agent, who contacted Joni, the National Head of Conveyancing. However, this interaction proved to be equally disheartening, as Joni not only displayed a lack of professionalism but also declined to provide any insight into the unilateral breach of contract, responding in a profane manner. I strongly advise against engaging with this company. As a result of their inefficiency, my funds remained in limbo within my bank account, as I had initially believed they could promptly resolve their business matters. Consequently, I have incurred substantial financial losses due to the failure of Simpson & Marwick to deliver on their commitments.

The photos and videos were amazing — they really showed our house at its best. Communication was brilliant too; we always knew what was happening and felt completely supported throughout the process. We actually contacted Hamish Homes after being recommended by a friend, and we’re so glad we did. Our house sold out quickly, and the whole experience was smooth from start to finish. Would 100% recommend them!
11th Sep 2025 (10 weeks ago)I was looking to purchase a property being sold through The Grange earlier this year. My viewings were arranged quickly and the lady who showed me round the property was friendly and helpful. It was only when the estate agent Helen got involved when I made a verbal offer that things deteriorated. Whilst I understand that she was looking out for her client and wanted to get the best price that she could for them her negotiating skills were non existant and she was rude, dismissive and spoke in a condesending manner saying "I'm not sure if you have bought a property recently but I have sold ones recently for £10k/£15k over the asking price" in order to get/ justify me putting in a higher bid even though it was already in excess of the asking price. I walked away only for her to contact me several weeks later when my offer was accepted. A bit of self reflection on how you deal with your potential buyers wouldn't go amiss.
