5th Aug 2024 (8 mo. ago)Can't really fault the representative who did the viewing at short notice, but the description of the property was economical with the truth. There were numerous omissions regarding state of the property internally, and to say it was 'Professionally decorated throughout' was an utter fabrication! If there had been a truthful description of the property we wouldn't have of wasted our time.
26th Mar 2025 (30 days ago)Our experience with Luke and Ellie at John Francis in Cardigan has been extremely disappointing. Their marketing efforts were lacking from the start. Our property was not advertised in their window or as a featured/premium property on Rightmove as discussed at our appraisal, we had to request any additional social media promotion, and overall, there was no proactive approach to generating interest. A major issue arose when we discovered incorrect property details on a neighbouring listing, making our property appear far smaller by comparison even when our property was significantly larger. Instead of correcting the mistake, they removed accurate details from our own listing without consultation with us. A more accurate course of action would have been to remove the neighbouring property's incorrect details instead. Communication has been poor throughout, with emails and questions going unanswered or with poor explanations. Most shockingly, we discovered that our property had been removed from Rightmove (this was their response to my query regarding terminating our agreement with them) without any communication or explanation from the team. We had to find this out ourselves, as the agency made no effort to inform us. Even when I called to investigate this, instead of calling me back I simply received an email skirting around the issue. This lack of professionalism and transparency has completely eroded our trust in John Francis. If you are looking for an agent that is proactive, communicative, and reliable, we would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I certainly won't be using them , or Connells/Countrywide ever again following this appalling experience. A huge amount of time and effort wasted!

With a complicated sale and a desired quick turnaround, the whole team went above and beyond to make the tight time line possible. Highly recommended using John Francis estate agents. Right from the start there was a fair valuation, honesty, advice given and of course, excellent photos. Unfortunately other agents will happily over value with a view to “ bringing it down “ down waste your time with these, head straight to Steff and the team.
