Highly recommended using John Francis estate agents. Right from the start there was a fair valuation, honesty, advice given and of course, excellent photos. Isobel Golding is the estate agent who handled my purchase. If you are seeking to make a formal purchase I would suggest working with someone who have a professional stand and ethical practise. During our conversation, on multiple occasions I was transferred to Isobel’s manager or colleagues due to her inability to address my concerns professionally. Additionally, I found parts of our discussion misleading and not reflective of an ethical and legal standard of service. For example, Isobel lied about a previous sale within the same agency in the same building and I had to go and request official sales record to learn the truth which is a waste of my time and neither legal nor ethical practise. She also outright lied about being able to swap a dish washer out with a washing machine. As well as lying about John Francis being able to somehow manage my property for me after my purchase, and again this was not true. Isobel also offered me ‘additional services’ during the viewing of which I did not respond to and found it utterly unprofessional.... Read more

Disgraceful and deceitful estate agents. We put an offer in on a house last year but we kept being told they couldn’t get hold of the seller. This went on for two months with no calls or correspondence from John Francis except for when we called them. We would be met with the same “we’ll try and contact the seller now and call you back” only to not hear from them again. Eventually a friend of ours called to enquire about the house and they were told the house had just been sold. After checking what the house went for on Zoopla I now find it sold for 20k less than what we had offered! Why was it so hard to just tell us they didn’t want to sell to first time buyers... John Francis eased the stress for us when we were able to view one of their properties, place an offer and have it accepted in no time thanks to Steffanie. Dire communication & don’t care attitude! We had put an offer on a house we knew very well from years ago..we’re told that since it had attracted many viewings, this would go to best & final offers.. Found out this morning the property has been sold, no one contacted us via phone or emails, absolutely zero communication..when enquired about this, I was told that no one contacted us because we had not viewed the property in the first place but they were happy to take our prior offer on that understanding and confirmed this in writing. The least anyone could expect from a “professional” outfit is common courtesy and basic communication.. Absolutely dreadful dealing and dire explanation when I called to enquire...... Read more
