I would rather not leave any stars the worst estate agents I've came across, a friend of mine rented a 2bed flat off these people Mae's y felin farm lisvane and although it looked lovely and rural on viewing DO NOT be fooled its very damp and once moved in they do not care about you my friend suffered with a bad chest for weeks until she moved out finally the mould that grows up the walls is awful and it's not just downstairs as the flat above is riddled with mould and damp aswell call after call after call about getting the problems fixed and nothing! The window seals are all going as well. New bathroom fitted but hot water doesn't work its luke warm
Brand new toilet wobbly as they get cheap cowboys to do jobs they're not qualified for. they haven't been out to fix this they paint over problems and never get them fixed.
Before you invest any money into these people do your research as you will be very sorry!!!!
Very professional outfit. The agents are extremely proficient in their job. They did a fantastic job from start to finish with the sale of our property at a very stressful time in our lives. Always answered our calls which is quite rare in this day and age. Most importantly they achieved the asking price which was more than the other agents valuation. If you want to sell your property then these are the guys you need to use!!
Background info I am a teacher with a young daughter 6yra old, rented a property from these for 4 years. When moved out I hired a cleaner for 3 days to clean the whole property, had the house painted, and all carpets cleaned.
Very unprofessional service. Make you feel like worthless or less than they are. Miss out important information loose paper work, don't respond to urgent calls.
Rented a property for 4 years never missed a rental payment.
Not returning bond after check out and every house inspection said with everything is fine, looked after no problems etc....
no inventory was done because the property was damanged and in need of TLC painting, broken items when I moved in.
Left without heating with a young child for months. Nothing being done. Left with a broken boiler for over 2 years. Left with a faulty front door lock for over 3 years. Left with a leaking ceiling for 2 years had to eventually move out because of the damp. Faulty cooker from moment moved in never fixed. Didn't remove rubbish and furniture from garden when I moved in. Broken window locks never replaced or changed.
No help with maintenance throughout years of renting a property.
Leaks, ceilings fallen through, building work not completed.
Will not return bond because the landlord spent a week painting the property before renting the property again. I am now very upset about this as I never moaned, allways paid and now I am left being treated very badly, the way this estate agent has spoken to me over the past 6 months is very unprofessional. Would avoid at all costs. Now having to get legal advice because of the poor treatment.
After being on the market for a while with another agent, myself and my wife decided to give Bayside a go after hearing such positive things in the village. I'm so glad we did, the brochure Carla did for us was fantastic, and our house sold very quickly. The service they have given at every stage has been exceptional. I would particularly like to thank Carla for her support after the sale was agreed. She was proactive liaising with solicitors and fed back to us without having to request this. Whenever we have had queries, the whole team have been friendly and helpful. This made the whole process much less stressful. We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Bayside. Thank you so much for all of your help.
rented a property with this company, was told that the smell downstairs was due to the fact that the heating wasn't turned on for months and that after a few days it would go. this was in fact sewerage gasses which we then lived with for months after the plumber informed the company of his findings, after 6 months it got so bad that we couldn't live there any longer especially with 4 young children.
This company (Carla) also told us that we could decorate and put new carpets down as it was extremely dated and gave us the keys 2 weeks prior to moving in so we could get the work done.
As it wasn't in writing they are now trying to claim for decorating costs..I am disgusted that we lived in sewerage gasses for months, spent over £1,500 pounds on decorating the property before we moved in, and never once was we late in paying rent, and now they try to claim fees back....horrendous service, make sure you get everything in writing if you want to rent through this company..
Martin and Co based in Merthyr Tydfil, provide a service to both landlords and tenants which is of an excellent standard. The team is committed to ensuring that both landlords and tenants are provided with an excellent service at all times. They are professional, pleasant and always a pleasure to deal with. I would recommend anyone looking to rent a property through letting agents or landlords looking to use a reputable company to use this company. Through my own dealings and experience with Martin and Co Merthyr Tydfil i can recommend from personal experience, i am confident that if you also use this company you will be very happy with the service.
I would not call the staff professional at Martin and Co in Merthyr. They are always getting the month, day and even year wrong on the letters they send out regarding inspections. They are responsible for who they hire for maintenance/repairs, and still they don't take any responsibility for them not showing up when they are supposed to - on several occasions. Failure to notify the tenants that the people they were hiring to carry out the work isn't even being employed by Martin and Co anymore.
They forget to turn on the answering machine, they don't return calls that have been left on their answering machine. They claim that they are not responsible for emails not going through to their designated Martin and Co emails - even though the tenants can send the emails fine without getting any notification of failure. Meaning, Martin and Co are basically saying that they aren't responsible if they are having problems at their end.
They are not returning phone calls on most occasions, even though they said they were going to.
The only positive experience we've had with them so far is that they are courteous.
Edit: 2017 - Martin & Co have had issues with an employee stealing deposits and such. Makes you wonder what kind of hiring procedures and checks that they have if they hire people that commit theft.
Edit: 2018 - Martin & Co regularly doesn't answer their phone, nor the emergency out of hours number.
Pleasure to deal with. I have been in contact with 5 other major agencies an no one was as friendly , professional and supportive as Peter Alan team in Blackwood ! Needs more stars :) Keep up the good work guys !

Was meant to view a property in crumlin on Wednesday the 3rd of august at 5pm, arrived 10 minutes early and waited until 5.10 to contact the office for myself and my partner to be told that we had the wrong time and that the girl doing the viewing and had just left the office and would be with us soon.
However we then had to call back again at 5.40 to see where the girl was and was told they would contact her and call us back.
They called us back and said that they couldn't get hold of her but they would get her to call us in the morning.
Despite all of this when my partner emailed the estate agents to complain they called my partner and tried to blame us for their incompetence.
Quick warning to potential landlords, do not leave your property in their hands or it will be on the market forever !!!
