James Shipstone House, Radford Road,New Basford,Nottingham
Great value Friendly staff especially the guy in the security hut he was ever so helpful pointing me in the right direction.
Appalling, will never use again! Bidded for a Smeg kettle (which it states in the description that it was!) when I collected it was not a Smeg kettle at all, I ended up just paying a lot of money for a Smeg box with an old used morphey Richards kettle inside. You don't bid for a giraffe and get an elephant! If I could do no stars I would!
Right to reply........ Sometimes on rare occasions..........you really want to walk away from an appointment..... There's two sides to a bad review. And the way you are treated alters your response and attitude
Didn't even make it through a viewing.
Agent turned up with the wrong key and left us waiting outside for 35 minutes while she went back to the office to pick up the correct one. Had no information on the house at all, couldn't answer a simple question of whether the electric was quarterly or metered. She made zero effort of "showing off" the house, preferred to sit in the hallway making constant sighs and "listening in" on our conversations.
After finding MANY problems with the house, I was jotting them down on a pad to work out what would need to be done in order for the house to be even considered by anyone with a brain. One of my comments from upstairs that she'd heard (sort of) was that the landlord had been redecorating the bedrooms and extremely badly at that, rather than paying to have the work done to which I said that the plug sockets and light switches, the bathroom tiles and mirror were all smeared with paint... to which I followed up with "has he not heard of masking tape?"
This is where it gets real interesting as the comments I made about the condition of the house were obviously heard but incorrectly and she shot up the stairs to confront me? Bit of a poor unprofessional move. She gets to the top of the stairs and says, "If there are any problems with the house like you're saying that plug sockets are mastic'd(??) onto the wall then they'll be repaired because it's a safety concern". She then points at my pad and says, "It's like you're doing a survey on the house". Well yeah, she thought I'd just skip the viewing and rent it? Subsidence and damp shouldn't matter?
What followed then was a very blunt explanation of what I actually said followed by her moving aside from the stairs and saying, "are we done here?"
Yes we most definitely were. Couldn't get out fast enough.
The house was awful. The agent was worse. Can't speak for the rest of the people there but if she's setting the example?
They are trying to sell a property 18 edge hill penllwyn Blackwood np12 2nz knowing there is a garage/shed that has been build on the neighbours land without permission they have been made aware of this but still trying to sell to people which will leave the new owners liable for the cost to remove it so be very careful on buying this property 18 EDGE HILL PENLLWYN BLACKWOOD NP12 2NZ
Ryan and the team were very professional from the off. Selling was an effortless process. They kept us fully informed with regular updates and kept everything moving forward, we completed within 2 months.
A piece of paper was posted through my letter box on letter headed paper with a handwritten note "My name is Lauren and I am looking to rent a property ..."
Nowhere did it mention that this is a letting agent, and a letting agent which appears to have a poor reputation!
Very unprofessional and annoying.
DO NOT POST JUNK MAIL THROUGH MY LETTER BOX
A great place to buy at rent a house, really good staff
I Would never rent a property off these again! Their houses are awful, smelly and dirty. they dont like doing repairs, they tried making out that i done certain amount of damage when i most certainly did not! They demanded that i had to cut the grass before i left when the garden was like a frigging jungle when i first moved in! They tried to make out that i drilled the back door when i didnt! Luckily i took pictures of the house "before" i moved in which was my saveyer. They then had monthly inspections that "had" to be suitable for them and not "you" and kept charging me because i couldn't get time off work, even though i had explained to them i work 12 hours a day so couldn't do weekdays but weekends was fine, but that wasn't good enough as it had to be a Wednesday from 10am till 1pm!! They tried to say i broke the kitchen draws when i didn't! So had to prove my innocense with the recorded telephone conversation that i had with them when i first reported it. They also tried to make me patch up certain holes that wasn't done by myself but yet again luckily the pictures that i took before i moved on came in handy for my innocensea and one last thing they will do their "very" best to keep your bond so beware!!!
