10th Feb 2024 (10 weeks ago)Very poor. A truly dreadful approach to customers. Unhelpful, evasive and incompetent.
8th Apr 2024 (10 days ago)Offer to buy a house was accepted and it was up to our surveyors to highlight a Grade 2 listing. Whilst Knight Frank ‘empathise’ we are at considerable out of pocket expense. Property now correctly advertised as listed and whatever the background of who claims what, the agent is expected to have carried out due diligence to confirm facts of what they are marketing. Knight Frank Exeter blame their customer and empathise with potential buyer where legislation states an agent must disclose all information before costs related to surveying or conveying are undertaken. However, this shoddy outfit shirk all responsibility; what a reflection of where we are in todays world. Referring to ombudsman as customer service are running on pastoral ‘empathy’ rather than address a problem where potential buyers remain considerably out of pocket. Our contract was with Knight Frank and their codes of ethics and standards where due diligence is the foundation. The Exeter office has failed miserably to address their duty of professional responsibility. Buyers (and sellers) beware! (investigation response was that "we didn't know, not out fault") With a pending county court claim all is resolved!

8th Apr 2024 (10 days ago)You would think buying a house would be an exciting process, unfortunately this was not the case when we wanted to purchase a home that was up for sale with Connells Newton Abbot. After 5 months of purchasing (as advertised) no chain home, lack of due diligence meant that we were miss informed, information was not shared, additional costs were not communicated until week 20 and there was little hurry to complete the sale, the seller was using Connells recommended solicitor who seemed to be useless and could not contact the sellers meaning after five months, we decided we had wasted too much time and money to gain nothing. I wish I had read the reviews before investing, now looking to purchase a new home and dismiss any houses up for sale with Connells - avoid at all cost. As for the ethics of the business, the sale could not go through due to the management covenant wording, lack of communication from the seller, yet the house was back up for sale in a matter of days, at a reduced price… still more than our offer which was accepted, I hope no one falls for these games that Connells Newton Abbot play!

9th Jan 2021 (3 years ago)Complete were professional and friendly. They kept us updated about every viewing and the feedback from the potential buyers. Once an offer was accept6they phoned us every week to keep us updated on what was happening on the buyers side, which was helpful and reassuring, especially as the sale took a little while to go through. I would recommend complete.

I have used other agents in the area over the years and none match Pegg Estates for professionalism, communication and value for money. These guys are ranked number one in the region for a reason. 14th Apr 2024 (4 days ago)I purchased a property through this estate agency but this has to be tbe worst estate agent I have had the displeasure of working with. In two viewings of the property neither time the estate agent accompanied us leaving the vendor to show us around. We purchased the property but the house was not taken off sale until two months later and countless calls, each with a different excuse to why it hasn't been taken down, only me threatening to pull out resolved it. One month into the purchase I called to see progress and the staff member I spoke to didn't even know the house was sold. A week later they cancelled my surveyor appointment thinking I wasn't proceeding. One month after that I had a call from their team asking if I wanted to view a property they had just taken on. I could never get hold of their progressions team and never got a response. When asking if we could view the property before exchange they said they would try but didn't have a key and the owners were away, then avoided the request and on day of moving I had a call to say they would be out of the office and they would leave a key somewhere safe for me to collect. They then called back and said there was a key in a keysafe all along. I insisted on them checking this, lucky I did as there wasn't. I would have turned up and been unable to get in. Avoid them at all costs.
