15th Aug 2024 (10 weeks ago)Having a tenancy with MSL has been as you'd expect a tenancy to go. Until it got to the end of it. I left the house with the rooms, living room and kitchen in a good state, nothing a quick hoover and spray couldn't fix. Yet MSL have decided to charge £350 for 'deep cleaning'. I lived there for a full academic year and cleaned every so often as required, and it was never once in a 'deep clean required' state as long as I was there with four other people, let alone after everyone had left and cleaned up behind them. It is a landlord's requirement to have the house cleaned before new tenants move in, why should I be charged for general upkeep of the property? They have also decided that to cover up blue tac stains, they require the entire room to be redecorated because why not right? Charging me £120 for some paint touch ups MSL are a complete joke. It seems they're charging money just because they can. Stay away from them at all costs.

30th Aug 2024 (8 weeks ago)I would not recommend Hackney & Leigh under any circumstances. There are significantly better and more professional estate agents available in Kirkby Lonsdale. Hackney & Leigh from start to finish of the whole process simply lacked the necessary professionalism, courtesy and overall customer service you would expect of a well established estate agents. The team at Kirkby Lonsdale constantly failed to keep me informed of the progress of my property sale: especially concerning enquiries from our buyers. They failed to answer direct questions via email & instead answered with the generic catch all of 'we can only apologise'. Under the banner of 'you just couldn't make it up...' - they even failed to inform me the sale had not completed on the agreed date (due to them failing to pass on queries the buyers had asked, which had not been forwarded to me and thus were unanswered). I had to call them the following day to find out what happened. "We can only apologise" (again) was their inadequate response. In summary: I would 100% not recommend - there are better, more professional and more effective estate agents around.

11th Mar 2024 (7 mo. ago)As a family selling a property after a bereavement you need an Estate Agent that will deal with the sale of a property efficiently and swiftly we had many hold ups with our sale.But Leigh at hackney and Leigh kept us informed through the whole process. Due to chain issues it took much longer than expected, but they were with us all the way, Great team Great service! Special thanks to Leigh she was a star !

His commitment, however, to us as the purchasers was remarkable. We were kept well in the loop of communication and never felt uninformed at all. Ben has a kind, honest and congruent approach which offers a trust to sellers and buyers alike. We would not hesitate to recommend Ben and his team, they’re amazing!
2nd Oct 2024 (21 days ago)I moved my property to iBay after a disappointing few months listing it with another agent. I expressed my desire for a quick sale to make up for lost time whilst the property was with the other agent and was reassured when viewings were getting booked in from the first week under iBay’s helm. My property sale was managed my Laura and Hayley, both of whom were fantastic. They kept me well informed and updated throughout the process, including giving me detailed feedback off the back of viewings and demonstrated initiative in regards to seeking the survey ordered by a prospective buyer. Laura and Hayley went above and beyond in working with my solicitors, I knew I could trust them to share the necessary documentation / information to my solicitor as soon as it landed on their desk. Selling a property is a stressful experience in the best of times, but despite my extenuating circumstances with living in Northern Ireland iBay ensured the process was as painless as possible and for that I would recommend them to anyone selling a property in the Heysham/Morecambe/Lancaster area.
