23rd Oct 2020 (3 years ago)We were really pleased with the way Mayhews handled our sale. From the start they were sensible about the need for Covid safety. They really understood the reasons we loved our house and amazingly found a family that similarly fell in love with the house in a few days. They also tried their best to keep the pressure on everyone in the chain giving us regular feedback so that we knew which were the sticking points. We were able to move quickly when several of our friends and neighbours with other agents were having a dreadful time

12th Sep 2022 (1 year ago)Homes are lovely and the setting is wonderful but they are let down by their poor customer service. Emails go weeks without response and issues aren't resolved. 9 months we've been waiting for a replacement door. We've already had one winter where it let out warm air. 3 months we've been waiting for two windows be fixed. I've had a builder tell me an issue with my driveway was my fault because I bought a house on a slope (we bought off plan). Thakeham do not have the 5* customer service they promote. They claim on their billboards to have completed a shop and Community Hub. It's still a shell of a building. They also claim to have invested in sports facilities, no idea what these are. I would avoid if you can.

17th May 2023 (11 mo. ago)Only £99 in estate agency fees. Sold in a week! Easy to use portal to load up property info and photos also respond to queries and set up viewings etc. Highly recommend if you want to DIY.
26th Apr 2023 (1 year ago)Brock Taylor helped my elderly mother buy the bungalow she had set her heart on . They were just great from start to finish. She isn’t very good at texts or emails so they worked with me to communicate and coordinate and kept us both up to date throughout. She is now happily settled in and delighted! Brock Taylor made it happen for her and were outstanding throughout Special thanks to Peter and Leanne who pulled out all the stops. Much appreciated !

25th Apr 2023 (1 year ago)I had the misfortune to be a tenant in one of the properties now let by DBLS. I had lived there happily for 5 years before they took over the letting contract. Within 1 year I was evicted with 8 weeks notice. This was through no wrong doing in my behalf but because they decided they could get a higher rent with a new tenant. They had tried to increase my rent by 20% in the December, to this I pointed out that the flat was riddled with damp and that an increase of this amount to a good tenant at that particular time of year was unfair - they agreed to a 5% increase. However a situation was quickly manufactured by the owner of DBLS which triggered the eviction - when I confronted him about this there was no denial regarding his actions. My family and I had months of utter hell and it was all due to this company. So, if you are an unscrupulous landlord looking for tenants that you can screw over DBLS are your company. If you are a tenant looking for a property - don’t touch them with a barge pole!

However as time went on despite offers to do anything they could for us and help in anyway they could their responses were lacking. We are putting this down to being so busy they didn't have the capacity to help with finer details and we know that their business is expanding quickly but don’t forget the customers that got you there. These are just comments not complaints - we do wish you well going forward.
