I was very impressed with all elements of my house sale. Everything was communicated in a timely fashion by email with text reminders.
It helped me keep track of what was happening when, this was great as I was changing Jobs as well as selling my house
First of all this is a general review of what we experienced with Gatekeeper agency I'm not making referrals to any agents as most of them are nice and friendly but they are not there to make you better they are there to make money from you.
1.Comunication with tenants it can be improved by providing them a phone number which is free to use and contact the estate agent
2.We didn't felt supported with agents smiling and temporarily emphasizing with us without taking real actions to show their support
3.There has been and end of tenancy fee taken from our deposit early than at the end of tenancy, without anyone notifying. We had to ask and find about it and the explanation was 'anyway that fee is taken from the deposit at the end of tenancy'.
4. We had 3 inspections over an year and a half without any issues at all but at the end of the contract we had money deducted from our deposit for silly reasons like grass has grown into the flowers, CO2 sensors not working or dirty oven.
5.All the reasons for deduction we have not been present when the inspection has been done, so we cannot verify anything as the agency didn't provide any photos with how the garden has been 'repaired' or how the oven is looking after being cleaned and where the new CO2 sensors has been installed and replaced. Not to mention that nothing was new in that house and they were expecting to be like new.
6.What I think is that they are applying this issues to many as possible tenants trying to deduct money from their deposit.
7. In the end doesn't matter how hard you are looking for the house or place you are renting from Gatekeeper there allways be issues raised at end of tenancy to deduct some money. This is all about really for them or Gatekeeper ''money''.
In the end I would like to mention that this is a honest review about what we experienced with this agency, I don't know if there are others better there.
We always received an excellent and professional service from Hamptons during our long saga of our house sale. A big thank you to James and the team who were always extremely professional, efficient, attentive and helpful. Incredible staff who always gave us feedback from the viewings. James always went the extra mile and provided a regular update and support to both parties during the sale.
Highly recommend their excellent service. Well done and thank you.
The service we received from Hampton's was absolutely fantastic. After many months of searching and dealing with many agents, Hamptons really stood out to us. The buying process was smooth and we felt completely comfortable in the way everything was handled and communicated. They really know their market and we have done nothing but recommend them to anyone selling and buying. I'm not ready to think about moving just yet as I am so in love with our house but if we do, I know who to talk to.
House search completed after registering and looking at many properties we finally settled on one that was not through Chancellors in Carterton. However, having dealt with many estate agents in my time I can honestly say that Liza-Jo Boyce was one of the most pleasant young ladies I have dealt with. She was both professional and personable, she kept to her word calling when she promised and followed up with other potential properties when we decided to pull out of an offer we made. An asset to any estate agency!
Lack of communication, do not do what they say they will do. Directors are good and want to resolve issues but seriously gets let down when it gets to the Carterton branch.
As a buyer we obviously do not pay Savills for their service but their help, advice and approachability was outstanding during a complicated buying experience. Nothing seemed too much of an issue, questions were answered quickly and efficiently (however stupid the questions may have been!) and there seemed to be a genuine empathy. The welcome package was a nice touch too. Big thanks to Penny, Anthony, Henry and especially Ben for his patience and time
Seb is truly outstanding, and he is exceedingly helpful, supportive and hard working. It is always an absolute pleasure to meet with and to speak to Seb, and he always does his absolute best for us as his clients. Seb is working extremely hard to find a buyer for our house, and he could not possibly do any more for us. Mel and Joan Longhurst.
I cannot speak highly enough of this incredibly professional and efficient team. They helped me and my family find our perfect home in no time, making sure that all our needs were catered for, and that the whole process went swiftly!
thanks Cain & Fuller for making moving home plain sailing!
Agreed an offer and then continued to take viewings and we were left gazumped. Cain & Fuller epitomise the reason estate agents have a bad name. Judging by the amount of vandalism I see on their company cars I'm not the first to fall victim to their methods.
