From the outset, Kaine was highly professional, responsive, and clearly committed to ensuring the transaction progressed as smoothly as possible. What stood out most was his reliability and communication. He kept me consistently informed at every stage of the process, was quick to respond to queries, and was proactive in following up with all parties involved. This level of engagement made a significant difference in what can often be a complex and time-sensitive transaction. Kaine demonstrated a strong understanding of the conveyancing process and coordinated effectively between solicitors, the seller, and other stakeholders. Even when delays arose outside of his control, he remained calm, pragmatic, and solution-oriented, helping to keep momentum and avoid unnecessary hold-ups. He suggested I contacted James Merrifield at there Oxford branch to discuss my options. I felt very confident with the advise he gave me on the sale process so I instructed him to proceed. like all good sales things did not go as planed, but James was with me 100% of the way sorting all the obstacles to achieve the sale. A big thank you for your help James and the professional service you provided. I would highly recommend Thomas Merrifield.
9th Jul 2023 (2 years ago)Would not recommend this estate agents. I had to chase them for feedback every time (however, only had 7 viewings in 4 months!) didn’t hear from them at all for 7 weeks! NO communication at all!! Arranged viewings with totally unsuitable prospective buyers (e.g. a lady with an electric car who wanted to install an electric hook up when there is no driveway-on street parking). Felt forgotten about as the office wasn’t in our town. Worse than disappointing.

7th Feb 2025 (1 year ago)After minimal success with our first Agent in selling our house, we chose to move to 'James Gesner Estate agents' due to their knowledge of Wallingford and the surrounding area and specifically one area. Having the team represent our sale, and then to find us a property in the area we were looking to move, I would comment that James and the team were exceptional. The data (marketing report) that they provide against the sales element was informative, the viewings that they conducted, were very professional and the correspondence was always relevant, and always available. James is very knowledgeable where it matters and worked tirelessly in supporting both the house sale and purchase, and I felt that he really went above and beyond in providing a great service and doesn't seem to switch off by providing updates whilst in Mexico. James Gesner Estate Agency will certainly be first on my list for any House sales/Letting.

On both occasions call-backs were promised but never happened. It seems they can afford to turn away potential clients and business. We will now use other agents.

I have been kept up to date throughout the process and feel confident that they are supporting me as a seller. I was a little concerned at first that their valuation was £25,000 above what another agent had provided, but I needn't have been as they secured an asking price offer a week after it went onto the market!

The only issue we had was that some documents were rather unclear, but they responded promptly to my feedback and updated the docs to fix this. Service has been friendly and efficient.
