Misleading and unprofessional. I called when a listing for rental came up. The person of the phone said it was too early to book any viewings and to call back in a few weeks. I then call out of serious interested a week later as I wanted to secure the earliest viewing. Come to know there were viewings already and 24 hrs later it was off the market. Do real estate agents not know the impact to family lives their jobs have on people. There is a high likelihood that even prejudice played a role as it was a suburban area and me and my partner have non English names. Despicable

I don’t normally like to complain publicly about negative experiences but felt compelled to highlight what an awful experience we had with Perry Bishops. Michelle was meant to handle our sale but was impossible to get hold off. Every time we went into the branch (as she seemed to be unable to respond to emails or telephone calls) we were left feeling like we had been an inconvenience.
Despite such awful customer service from our designated poc I would like to say thank you to Lucy who was the one person who did seem to make an effort in helping us.

We had a bad experience with Perry bishop in Faringdon. When looking around the house we were told by the estate agent that she “matches the houses to the person”. I have family members that sell houses that said this was discrimination and not a normal thing to say. We were pushed to offer more and I have a few friends who had the same experience and felt pressured to offer more. I had someone make a remark when I was asked about how much I could put as a deposit which was “ well not everyone has that amount in their account” (I had worked very hard for 3 years to save) this comment was unprofessional. I felt during the process at times the estate agent was patronising which was hurtful as the housing process is stressful enough. Unfortunately they sold the house to us without informing us about a major factor which meant we couldn’t take the house in the end. I personally wouldn’t recommend them or use them again.

Very bad experience from the beginning of the rental. Including but not limited to "they own interpretation of the rental agreement", bad communication. Do not recommend to rent via this agent. Or if you brave enough employed a photographer that will cover all details of the place you are renting.

Gerry managed the sale of our property and has been a true rock throughout the whole process. It has been a difficult road to navigate, given our unique circumstances, but Gerry has remained focused and true, supporting us on our testing journey.
This is by far the most professional Estate Agent we have ever dealt with, made all the more perfect by Gerry’s consultative style. She has become a true friend and someone we will go back to time and again should we wish to move. The whole Perry Bishop team are very different to the stereotypical view of an Estate Agent and support their customer weather selling, of buying, as you would want to be supported.

So glad I chose perry bishop as the estate agent for my sale after meeting a few agents it was Lucy from perry bishop who was so friendly and helpful and just generally gave the company a great first impression so I decided to go with them. As it’s a shared ownership property it’s a bit more complicated than a standard sale and Jade from perry bishop really helped at being a go between for myself, the buyer, solicitor’s and the management company. Jade did so much chasing for me and on the day our RICS valuation expired she chased to make sure the buyer delivered his documents in time for exchange …we exchanged at 4:30pm! I don’t think anything would have been as smooth if we’d have gone with another agent!

A review with a difference, Perry Bishop were amazing from start to finish, very professional and kept us fully informed. This company needs an award for dealing with the “buyer” of our house who was the most difficult purchaser you could ever hope not to meet, uncommunicative, over demanding and eventually a time waster, pulling the offer hours before we were due to exchange contracts. Despite agreeing to every demand from the “buyer”, including a full house clean, this “buyer” obviously couldn’t actually afford the house and managed to waste a lot of people’s time and money. Again this is a classic case of the estate agent working tirelessly for no reward as there is no financial commitment from a buyer till the eleventh hour. Personally, I think if you offer you should be made to put your money where your mouth is. Anyway, fantastic job by the team in Faringdon and thanks for all the hard work.

Honestly save yourself some time, money and more inportantly hassle by going a few doors down to Waymark.
Had a truly aweful service from Perry Bishop, poor customer service and the general attitude when raising concerns with them, unless your house is over a certain £££ figure dont be expected to be treated well, more as an inconvenience and that your property isn't worth their time.
Some of the issue we had :
Doors left unlocked after viewings.
Muddy foot prints left through house.
Lights left on.
Incorrect information given to viewers of the property.
Incorrect information listed in the ad, reported numerious times.
Poor communication
Poor attitudes of staff
All this complained about to manager who shrugged it all off, and just didn't care.
After all this and terminating the listing due to us having enough of their mistakes and attitude, they had the nerve to try and charge us a fee, complained again to manager over terms of contract and agreement, and they put it down to "errors again".
In my opinion avoid this company at all costs, they go for the quick sale and under value your property to boost their "sales figures" at your cost.
Simply put to sum up, property was listed for over a year with Perry Bishop, not only was it a nightmare experience for us they could not secure a sale! ONE week with new agent Waymark, 6 offers and price secured well over Perry Bishop "estimates".

Once the Covid-19 situation began, our conveyancing process slowed to a crawl - however, Michelle Murphy was an absolute hero throughout, and prevented me from going crazy while working tirelessly to push us to the finish line. Perry Bishop have just sold our house. They did a fantastic job and were highly professional throughout the process. Tessa Goring the Manager gave us a personal service and we felt she was engaged throughout the process.
Perry Bishop have a progressions team which takes over management of conveyancing once the offer is agreed. Michelle, the team leader was excellent and gave us weekly updates on progress. She and her team link with the other agents and solicitors down the chain and we felt confident that the information she provided was accurate.
No Estate agent is cheap but for once I feel one had earned the commission.

We've manage to buy our house with help of PB&C - Faringdon, we've seen around 25 houses and we always had part of professional and kind treatment. The customer manager and the property viewings team was a pleasure to deal with and the agents were spot on. The support from the sales team was constant, accurate and on time.
The 2 things which we didn't like is their Mortgage Advisor and their list of recommended Solicitors. The Mortgage Advisor was very intimidating and pushy in order to convince you that he can find you a better deal (which in reality wasn't) and the recommended Solicitors list is made of overpriced Solicitors. If you avoid these 2 elements you will have a great experience with PB&C - Faringdon

After straying from our usual safety net & making a brave decision to try an on-line estate agent to sell our property, we very quickly realised that there was a distinct lack of communication from our allocated agent & the viewings dried up quite quickly. Feeling aggrieved that no progress was being made & our 'one-off' payment period was coming to an end, we were convinced that very little effort was being made by the agent, as he was guaranteed his fee. Sale or no sale! Thankfully, Perry Bishop came to our rescue & gave us some confidence that the market was moving & convinced us that they could sell our property, which had already been on the market for 5 months. We have used Perry Bishop in the past with great results, so didn't hesitate to change agents. Sarah Benson & her team performed their magic & sold our house within a few months. The administrative support was there every step of the way. It was lovely to have some confidence back & a local agency we could pop into. We bought our new house through them too, so we had double the support. All the staff where extremely friendly and helpful from the moment we walked into the shop to completion. I do not have a very good opinion generally of estate agents even though my daughter was one for a short while but Perry Bishop are the exception. I have brought 3 houses in the past year. Once you make the offer that's it you don't hear from them again. Usually any issues are someone else's problem. However Perry Bishop were fantastic. Immediately showing me a house that fitted my specific specifications, chasing up solicitors for an update, calling me when my adviser would be on holiday, congratulating on completion and the final touch of posting a "welcome to your new home" card. I have never received one of those from any other estate agent. Small inexpensive touch that means so much. I am used to managing the buying process myself from previous experience but was always surprised when I got a follow up telephone call from Perry Bishop. I know a lot is down to chance finding the right house etc but I felt with Perry Bishop they would be there when I needed them.

Tessa valued my Mother's house on 14th February. She organised an Open day for 4th March and by 6th March we had 6 firm offers. Tessa's calm, gentle manner with my 93 year old Mother was very reassuring and from the outset we had great confidence in her. We just knew that she would do a brilliant job, and she did. It has been a delight to have her dealing with the sale and Tessa has always been easy to get in touch with. If out of the office she has always returned my calls promptly. My Mother has been in her house for 52 years and Tessa's kindness towards her has helped greatly to ease the worry about the whole process.
