2nd Jul 2023 (10 mo. ago)The estate agent I spoke to came across very rude and judgemental, they seemed very unprepared and came across to seem that they aren’t interested in helping tenants find a property, unfortunately during a housing crisis and many struggling with the likelihood of becoming homeless this isn’t appreciated and I would avoid this agency if you’d actually like to find a house to rent.

7th Feb 2024 (15 weeks ago)I would recommend king and chasemore without a doubt. Andy and Becky were 100% professional and guided me through it. They are always at the end of the phone to answer any questions I have. I had 2 weeks to sort this out and within that time I have tenants. Chloe was super also, she sorted out my insurance for me. I know I have left my property in very safe and very caring hands. One last thing to say " well done Guys"

31st Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)Rented a property through this branch for 8 years and the simple fact is when the landlords pay the estate agents, the estate agents don't want to bite the hand that feeds them. So when you go to them with issues Martin and Co are not great at getting them sorted, through fear of annoying the landlords with nothing but problems. And because there are plenty of other estate agencies out there that the landlords can go to, they seem wary not to rock the boat. They were never rude to us as tenants. However, weeks after moving in we had issues with rising damp and mould, especially in the bedroom, the walls of which always felt cold and wet. We were simply told it was because we were not putting the heating on enough or opening the windows enough. Fast forward four years and the same problems were persisting though we were managing with a lot of effort. We did, however, also find out from a tradesman who serviced the boiler every year that the flat had flooded just weeks before we moved into the property through a burst water pipe that sat on the other side of the bedroom wall. We were not told anything about this prior to moving into the property. We, as mentioned before, had consistent issues with mould and damp and were now finding out 4 years later that there was a big contributing factor to these issues that was hidden from us by both the landlord and Martin and Co. Needless to say I was very unhappy and even contacted a solicitor as we had gone to great expense painting the flat with anti-mould paint and purchased a large dehumidifier that would be on for around 6-10 hours a day. Both the landlord and estate agency wouldn't comment unsurprisingly which is sneaky to say the least as it screams out guilt. So ultimately, I would definitely not recommend using this estate agency if you are a tenant as they will always take the landlords side.

23rd Oct 2020 (3 years ago)We were really pleased with the way Mayhews handled our sale. From the start they were sensible about the need for Covid safety. They really understood the reasons we loved our house and amazingly found a family that similarly fell in love with the house in a few days. They also tried their best to keep the pressure on everyone in the chain giving us regular feedback so that we knew which were the sticking points. We were able to move quickly when several of our friends and neighbours with other agents were having a dreadful time

I wanted to schedule a viewing for the week but only one person was able to show the house who wasn't available at the time we requested. I've made 3 attempts to now contact this individual and they have still not replied or returned my phonecall. Disgusting service. Renting property shouldn't be this hard.
19th Oct 2023 (7 mo. ago)I have dealt with Paul and various members of the At Home team on quite a number of occasions - I have rented, purchased and sold through At Home Estate Agents. I have not been to anyone else since my first encounter with them. They offer a fantastic, honest service, they go out of their way to give you what you need and to advise on your best route forward. Super efficient staff and a super friendly service. The bonus is that you can even let them sort your mortgage out it just takes the headache out of the whole thing!

Constantly on hand and applying pressure to all sides making sure our purchase went through in just 8 weeks. Overall a highly recommended local agent that knows how to market a property and keeps a sale on track - great work Steve !
