The team at Carter Jonas (Oxford) were fantastic. My application was processed very quickly - the reference checks were completed almost immediately without any hassle. Great service. Would highly recommend.
Note of caution to Tenants – Avoid at all cost! - Only gave 1 star because I couldn’t give lower. Carter Jonas are a 1 sided estate agent that only represent the Owners and where Tenants are a commodity. They optimise the law in the owners favour and will extract the maximum money out of you while giving you the most 1 sided tenancy agreement possible. Basically act as the owners “muscle”. Dealt with them for 3 years as a tenant and hope to never deal with them again as a tenant or a potential landlord.
Oliver Court at Hamptons was at all times courteous and helpful. We experienced some difficulties with our proposed purchase and in the end, were not able to proceed; however Oliver liaised with me throughout and was supportive in what was a very stressful time.
We would not hesitate to use Hamptons again in the future.
The team at Hamptons, Richard, Lydia and Oliver, really went out of their way to see through the sale of my house. 'It is a difficult market,' I was told over and over again by other agents, 'with Brexit and winter coming,' but Hamptons put together an all Hamptons chain with committed purchasers within a matter of weeks. Initially, I had reservations about using a 'posh' estate agent, but, in fact, they didn't ask for outrageous marketing costs to be paid up front and their charges were very reasonable. Richard took customer service to a new high when he offered to rehome my pet ducks on his father's farm! When the conveyancing threw up a few hitches, the team at Hampton's worked hard to resolve the issues.
Spent a week on work experience with Knight Frank and it was great. I learnt lots and really enjoyed myself as there is such a friendly environment! Thank you
Have worked with Knight Frank and followed various colleagues around the group for a number of years. They are extremely professional in their approach but also great fun to work with too! Keep up the teamwork in 2018!
Thanks to sue for all her hard work in our house move. Went like clockwork.
Incredibly slow- no chain either side and no problems but took 4 months to complete on our house purchase. When we went in for an update the secretary told us our case hadn't even been looked at. They were also rude on one occasion.
Strutt & Parker Moreton in Marsh was our unanimous choice when we decided to put our house on the market in July. Simon Merton exudes confidence; if we got downhearted about the prospect of selling in the summer's rather turbulent political uncertainties, an upbeat call from him would restore our mood. S&P know the local market inside out and have a fine reputation and invaluable contacts countrywide including London which can bring your property to the widest possible audience. Our sale was completed early December. Thank you Simon for you invariable good humour, and your expertise. Also thanks to Helen and Kirstie. Good job, S&P! Andy Butcher
