Will be looking elsewhere now sorry to say. Very disappointing and unprofessional experience to say the least ????
16th Mar 2024 (8 mo. ago)This is not the first time we have used Blenkin&co. We encountered them when buying a house a few years ago and were impressed at their fairness in handling the buyer/seller balance. Hence tje decision to use them when selling. This last transaction fell at a difficult time and had some complications but they showed patience, persistence, courtesy and even humour. In brief, we trust them.

4th Sep 2024 (14 weeks ago)Recently sold my property through smiths and friends and initially very impressed. The lady that valued it was very professional and helpful and the man who took the photos and video did an excellent job. The after sales however was a different story. Hardly any contact after it was sold ..no updates, I was getting more info from my buyers and my solicitors. On the day of the sale my buyers solicitors had forgotten to send their money resulting in a huge delay. I was 20 Mins late dropping My keys off and I had a very shirty joy (aptly named) ring me to ask where I was as my buyers were waiting !! Er not my fault !! Walked into the office to drop the keys / hostile environment .. no asking how it’s gone etc. then went to pick my keys up from Northgate for my house - totally different experience - greeted with a smile, invited to sit down, asked how it went, given a welcome to your new home goodies box … it’s the little things that count. Considering I spent just short of £2.5k with smith and friends I felt that they took my money and ran and for that reason I won’t be recommending.
27th Nov 2024 (13 days ago)I have found all the team who I dealt with (Marcus, Richard and Carla) at Marcus Aldersons fantastic except for Rosie. She was just exceptional, and the sale being a challenging one had the patience of a saint and went above and beyond to get the sale over the line. I cannot recommend them all highly enough. Thanks again.

25th Oct 2024 (7 weeks ago)The Roseberry Newhouse (Stokesley) team were all very friendly and helpful throughout the house - sale process. The video clip they produced looked amazing, and they also created a WhatsApp group, where queries could be easily discussed. Team members were quick to respond, and we're clearly knowledgeable and experienced.
25th Apr 2024 (7 mo. ago)Disappointing from Joplings, I have had a couple of dealings with them and the first was good however the second was not. Our tenancy ended and because they did not manage the property they have washed their hands with the situation. The landlord has been slow to reply meaning it’s been over a month to sort the deposit. Being that Joplings let this to us I feel they should make sure all landlords they are working with are keeping to regulations and treating tenants correctly. Room for improvement.

From my initial contact, they have relentlessly kept great communication in what is a difficult market, to find our "forever house". Tom and Edward's experience is second to none. If we are ever in the market for another house (hopefully not, as my wife has promised), I would have no hesitation in calling Savills......10/10
2nd Dec 2024 (8 days ago)Didn’t turn up for a viewing booked with them for Rokesby place 9.30 am on 28/11/24 as arranged, we have since had tried to arrange another viewing zero communication. Really bad service. We was really keen on this property and potentially would have gone above asking price. Really hope vendors are happy with the service they have received. We certainly are not !!!!

Claire was the Property Consultant we dealt with throughout the process and communication was great - we never had to chase her for anything. She was quick to respond to questions and requests and always kept us updated with progress along the way. Upon completion when we went to pick up the keys, we received a ‘new home’ gift which was totally unexpected and such a lovely gesture. We would definitely recommend to others and would consider using if we were to sell in the future. Thank you!

1st Sep 2024 (14 weeks ago)My husband and I were so pleased to have bought our new property through James Winn’s Northallerton branch. They provided such a high-quality all-round service that we have not previously received from other estate agents. Jodie supported us massively during the initial stages of our property search and purchase. Victoria continued to maintain excellent customer service, always answering enquiries in a friendly and time efficient manner. The team were very knowledgeable and pushed the progress of our purchase by chasing other stakeholders, despite us not paying for their services. If it weren’t for Victoria and the team at Northallerton, we can guarantee that the whole process would have not run as smoothly as it did and would have been far more delayed. We have strongly recommended James Winn to our family and friends and, should we ever require an estate agent in the future, we would not hesitate to choose James Winn.

7th Dec 2024 (3 days ago)We bought our house in East Keswick from Furnell. We bought after our first viewing with Victoria who was absolutely brilliant - knowledgeable, kind and very patient so weren't rushed at all. Our conveyancing process was painful and Victoria kept me informed and helped me triangulate the truth and move things forward when they got stuck which was often. We don't plan to ever sell but if we did, we would not consider anyone else. 5-star service from lovely people.
18th Mar 2024 (8 mo. ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
8th Oct 2024 (9 weeks ago)I am so fortunate to have been really well looked after by Anthony and Emily during the sale of my little piece of heaven in beautiful Thirsk .I felt totally relaxed as they were both so empathetic and extremely professional throughout .Simply delightful felt as if they were so kind in every way alleviating the stresses that occurr with the sale of a property ....almost as if they were family members .SO extremely dedicated and hardworking I was sad to have to sell my little piece of heaven but on a positive note realize how very fortunate I was to be in such capable hands Couldnt recommend highly enough!
