Really surprised that all reviews of foxtons are all good. I had gone through foxtons eventhough i never got good feedback from people as i liked the property.
This review was also posted in UK trust pilot but they try to be smart by reporting the review against guidelines, hence putting review on google reviews.
Here is my story with Foxton Pinner:
May 19- Visited the property in Pinner and finalised the deal. There was some guy called preetam who showed us the property , who didnt know anything and whatever he said was incorrect (Like who would manage property , thermostat).
June 19 - we came to know that Foxton has advertised same property for sell as well as rent which came as a shock, however it was too late us to back off.During this time, I had talks with director and Preet who were good though.
July 19 - I moved in , however there was some furniture missing and appliances were not working.When mailed the director , I didn't get response
It took us around 2 weeks with no appliance working and had to get food from outside
Oct 19 - The property was sold to new party and we continued as tenants with new landlord.
Dec19- There started a dampness issue in the property and reports showed that as it was top floor and roof was full of condensation , the property caused mould and it was difficult to stay
Jan-feb20- We had miserable time. My wife was expecting and the property was full of dampness and mould and landlord tried seeking help from management company and the company was not willing to invest as it was huge costs associated
Feb 20- The dodgy landlord asked us to vacant in mid of all this.And then deducted 750£ making false claims that mould was partially because of tenant's lifestyle as they wanted to recover the repairs costs
Mar20- Dispute was raised against the agency and the tenant by the agency.During this time, we realised that they have not updated landlord on deposits.
So, overall it was a nightmare experience. I would definitely not recommend foxtons to anyone
I always find the staff at Hamptons International Lettings (Rickmansworth Office) very professional and helpful indeed !!! The good telephone manner and excellent customer service skills shown by Annabel & Alba in particular are excellent whenever l have talked to them over the phone or in person. I would therefore not hesitate at all to recommend them any time, any day!
The staff are helpful and efficient. Have good local knowledge and in my experience work hard to ensure both landlord and tenant are well served.
Paul and the team were very helpful and consultative throughout the process. They were always available to answer any questions we had and made the whole process simple. We'd like to thank you all for your help, but a special thanks to Scott for his help at the start and Paul for his support during the rest of the process.
Not good, they kept on wanting to reduced the price and then get annoyed when i would question it. Their not on your side, i had to take my home off the market, not recommended.
I used Robsons in Northwood to both buy the house is wanted and sell the one I was moving from.

If you are thinking about selling your property then I would recommend Robsons wholeheartedly as some of the other agents I know from experience do not go to the same lengths that Robsons do.
Extremely poor service. This was supposed to be an enjoyable experience however, I was treated as if I was part of a witch hunt. They where acting like solicitors instead of agents, requesting to see documents which they had no business asking for.

The worst estate agency I have come across. The whole team is clueless, false information up on their website about a property. Lack of communication between agents one person is saying one thing and someone else is saying something completely different very unprofessional. To top things off our offer got accepted, they then offer it to someone else without even contacting us first. Making this into a bidding war for renting. Chancellors Norwood are a joke, avoid them at all cost. Unfortunately, I can’t give 0 star rating.
The attention to detail given by all Gibbs Gillespie staff at Gibbs Gillespie, Northwoodwe have been in contact with has been outstanding.
Thoroughly recommend this company to anyone who wishes to sell their property.
