LC, the most expensive agents in the area, but we certainly got what we paid for. Our house sold in record time. From start to finish all involved were extremely professional and friendly, we were kept informed of progress throughout. A hassle free sale, thank you Guy and Barry.
These guys sold my parents house and I actually had them look around and give their price and advice. My parents decided to have them sell the house because of their reputation - which is kind of mixed but suggests they sell well (hard sell) and also because of their I guess relentless self publicity (which isn't a bad thing. They spent most of the appraisal criticizing other Estate Agencies and generally being arrogant. However they priced the property at £330,000 which was pretty much in line with other valuations. Once marketing commenced it seemed to all be about getting any offer and trying to make my parents accept it. The property sold for £300,000 a couple of weeks into the marketing due to the pressure put upon my parents by the Agents. Of course my parents weren't duty bound to accept their advice but they are of course very persuasive people. I just think another Agent would have tried harder for longer to get a more realistic sale price for the property - they just wanted the house off their books!
Miller Countrywide lettings in Wadebridge are brilliant! From finding our tenants, to completing the complex paperwork and even helping them move in - all in one week! Naomi and Penny are excellent, professional and will go the extra mile for tenants and landlords alike.
I was recommended to deal with Naomi in the office and she was pleasant, courteous and nothing was too much trouble for her. She found me a tenant in 4 days. Wonderful!
If I could give SIX STARS I would. Left one of my belongings at one of their lovely properties, and the staff at Cornish Horizons went above and beyond to make sure it was sent to me. Could not recommend this business more! Thanks!
We booked Ben's Barn in Cornwall through Cornish Horizons, and prior to and during our stay everything seemed fine. We brought our 2 border collies with us at an additional £18 each, and were advised by the cottage owner that as long as we picked up any poops that they did in the garden all would be well.
I must confess to not having read Cornish Horizons terms and conditions regarding pets before we arrived, but instead read the information on their website which seemed reasonable enough. However, after leaving the property at the end of our stay I received a phone call from Cornish Horizons saying we would be being charged an additional clean-up fee as the owners weren't happy with how we had left the property. I was astonished! We had left the property in very good order, and I couldn't understand what on earth they would have been unhappy with.
Cornish Horizons said that they would send me photos from the owner once they had received them. A whole week went by, and so I assumed that we wouldn't hear anything further and maybe there had been a bit of a mistake. However, exactly a week after we left I received a letter through our door saying that we were being charged £50 in additional cleaning fees and they expected payment within 7 days! I was furious! I called Cornish Horizons at once as we still hadn't been shown any evidence of the owner's complaint, and we were then emailed the most ridiculous video you have ever seen in your life!
In the video, the owner walks from room to room - focusing in on tiny pieces of thread on the carpet and some breadcrumbs on the kitchen floor. They scrape at the carpet with their hand to pull up some dog hairs, and zoom in on some muddy paw prints on a doormat. It was honestly laughable - we had friends over and watched it together, and it if it hadn't of been so unnecessarily stressful it would have been genuinely hysterical.
Needless to say I have replied to their nonsense claim and refused to pay it, but I just wanted to forewarn any dog owners considering staying with Cornish Horizons to read their terms and conditions concerning animals. There is some borderline illegal content in there - such as expecting your animals not to go to the toilet for the entire time that you're there - as well as expecting you to 'remove all dog hair' from the property before you leave. Considering that you pay £18 per dog that you bring, this is absolute nonsense - but you need to be aware.
