We didn't end up purchasing with David Baker due to unforeseen complication near to completion, however we feel we need to write a review on how good they're. Most estate agents view every interaction as a single event and can be quite abrupt and unprofessional, some even lying about houses and offers and don't appreciate even if you're not a customer of theirs at this time, you could well be in the future. I'm glad to say this is not the case with David Baker. Craig,Charles,Debbie were great - whilst they obviously put the vendor 1st, they treated every viewing & communication with us in a very professional way. Even though we didn't purchase with them we have already recommended them twice to friends and they would definitely be our 1st point of contact if we ever come to sell our house in Penarth in the future. BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!... Read more
