30th Jul 2025 (8 mo. ago)Overall experience was extremely positive and the initial impression was that this was an agent that cared about selling your house, rather than just earning money doing it. Interest was very poor at the start and, while I was assured that the house should be attracting interest it just wasn't. Unsurprisingly dropping the price helped, but I would want my agent to guide me to say what interest it might get dropping the price, or to advise holding out rather than just waiting for me to take action. Nevertheless, working with Wilbys was great, they were always easy to speak to, responsive, and great with enquiries and booking viewings when they came in. No complaints on the customer service side at all. Would absolutely use them again.

25th Mar 2026 (10 days ago)We experienced ongoing issues with repairs not being addressed (a bathroom light remained broken for several months after a leak). We were also asked to conduct viewings ourselves before moving out, which we did not feel was our responsibility. On moving in, there were also cleanliness issues, including mould in the washing machine drawer and cupboards left full of cleaning products from previous occupancy. We later found these same items referenced when deductions from our deposit were discussed, which was frustrating. Overall, prospective tenants may wish to ensure maintenance expectations and check-in inventories are clearly documented before signing.

3rd Nov 2023 (2 years ago)I have lived in my apartment for 3 years, my ancient boiler got condemned two weeks ago along with the cooker which was here when i moved in, it took the landlord nearly a week to respond to residential estates about the issues, then i was advised by residential lettings to report the landlord to the council disrepair department which i did and i may add i have a vulnerable child in my care as well, the council got in touch straight away and chased them up, 11 days later i get contacted by the gas engineer company to tell me the date of the new boiler, still nothing about a new cooker, i have spent a small fortune on food and electricity feeding us and keeping us warm, no contact from residential estates, they tried saying at one point that I couldn’t be contacted which is a lie, my roof is leaking i cannot sleep in my bedroom as the ceiling is wet and starting to mold, the wall is soaking wet! Not heard anything about the roof either, is this acceptable? Freezing cold, no cooker, cold wet bedroom? Lack of communication, no oil heaters which was said was going to be brought to the property? At this point I expect compensation and the issues to be dealt with swiftly!
7th Apr 2025 (11 mo. ago)The house we were selling was in a village, old and quirky, this narrowed the market down considerably. After being on the market for some time, with the occasional time wasters and the let's have a look around someone else's house this weekend people, some friends who have rental properties suggested Butlers. Dave and his team turned out to be knowledgeable, professional and friendly, The property was on the market again for some considerable time, due to the unusual quirky property, Dave and his team stuck with it, he sometimes looked as fed up as we were, but it all worked out well in the end, thanks for sharing the slog, Dave and your merry band.
