I used Hunters to sell my mums property, from start to finish the service was second to none. Especially under the circumstances for selling the family home. The staff Zack, Daniel and Ashleigh was so caring, companionate and understanding by not causing anymore stress than we needed at this time. The professionalism in looking after my mum and updating us every step of the way through the sale we cannot thank them enough.
We would definitely recommend Hunters and most definitely this branch.
They were terrible. The contact was so poor and it took days to get a call back.
We had 50/50 viewings and no shows and they brought round people who were never interested in buying to make it look like they were doing more,
They changed the pricing 4 times in 3 weeks, none of which was successful.
In the end I paid £150 to terminate my contract - best thing I ever did. Hunters failed to sell in 6 weeks. It went on with another agent and sold in 5 days!
Do not use.
Thank you so much to Angie, Sarah and Hannah for there expertise and amazing friendly customer service!!
This was my first rental and has all happen very quickly from the viewing to the keys and over the Christmas period too.
Genuinely could not be happier!!
Would highly recommend!!
Would avoid at all cost.
We just bought a property advertised by Reeds Rains, the house is lovely and we’re over the moon with it, but the level of service provided by the company is a joke – extra charges hidden in recommended solicitors fees are not something you’d expect from such a highly respected company, and it seems to be a common issue so beware!
Once the offer was accepted they recommended a solicitor who they worked with all the time and the original quote looked decent so we decided to go with them (the solicitors themselves were great!). Upon the arrival of the official solicitors quote I noticed that there was a fee on top of the total cost which was supposed to be paid (on top of the referral fee!!!) to Reeds Rains if we take out a mortgage as a 'mortgage referral fee', that was £150+VAT - may I add that we already had our mortgage application in place so we didn't use their services for that at all. When I questioned it with the solicitors they told me that this fee is being enforced by Reeds Rains themselves and it is not for any additional work the solicitor would be doing. I was advised to call the estate agents and asked for it to be removed... and that's when the fun really starts! NOT ONE member of staff could give me a reasonable explanation as to why that fee was on there and what exactly it was for ‘oh, it’s just a standard fee, it’s always there’ is what I got… I wasn't prepared to pay it if it was money for nothing. I couldn't understand why they were trying to squeeze extra money out of me when they are already getting a nice amount out of the sellers. I was told over and over again that it’s for handling the mortgage, but when I read through the paperwork that was already included in the total and this referral fee was for no additional work on the solicitor’s side. I instructed the solicitors to question what the fee was exactly for, the answer the solicitor got was ‘we don’t know, we’re looking into it’… as you can imagine I was far from impressed! I informed the estate agent at that point that unless I get a solid explanation for it I am refusing to pay it… This went on for weeks.
After about 6 weeks of constant phone calls to Reeds Rains (they were incapable of returning a promised phone call, every single time), constant upset and added stress I eventually had a call from the manager to say that the fee was waved, this was followed by a promise of an email confirming this to my solicitor and myself to make it official - yet again, I had to chase it a week later because it was forgotten about!!!
If you are looking to buy via Reeds Rains and decided to go with their solicitors, do it, but make sure that you check your paperwork because they will try and sneak an additional charge in there. £150 +VAT may not be much in a grand scheme of what you have to pay but why should they be allowed to get away with it!
Customer service in general was decent enough but I cannot highlight enough how unprofessional the management was - I was even told 4 weeks into the process that if I didn't like the fees I was free to go find a new solicitor - after they recommended me this one!
If i could leave a 0 star review I would...
-10/10 would not recommend and will certainly not use in the future.
Fab service from all at William H Brown, Rotherham.
From start to finish they were hardworking and always easily contactable if I needed them. Will use again. Special thanks to Jesse and Rebecca x
Buyer Beware! Last and final bids had to be in by 5.30 pm on the Friday. On the Saturday informed my bid had been successful. Hooray! Spent the weekend pulling funds together. Four days later, informed the other bidder had increased his/her ‘last and final’ bid and the owner had now gone for the increased offer!! Did I want to increase my ‘last and final’ bid? Not likely. What a joke: except I’m not laughing. Lost property and lost money disturbing long term investments.
Nick, Carly and the team down at a William H brown in Maltby are fantastic, nothing is ever too much trouble despite how many times I go into branch or how many questions I ask, they always do their best to put my mind at ease regarding my mortgage especially after a couple of stumbling blocks they always put extra time and effort into my case and trying to sort it out for me. Made buying my first house very easy and based on this experience I would use them again for further properties I will purchase in the future.
Thanks again William H Brown.
We have just bought a house from Katie Fox at William h Brown enough. I can not say how amazing our experience was purely because we had the most amazing estate agent there is . She was full of knowledge about the home about the entire process, she kept us updated and didnt mind us ringing her non stop as we were so excited about our new home. She has been fabulous with accommodating our crazy work schedule and juggling a 11 month old, who absolutely adores Katie as well. She really made our experience the best it could possibly be , William h Brown this girl needs a pay rise she is a star. I wouldn't want to buy a house from any one else. Katie if you read this thank you from the absolute bottom of our hearts you are amazing at what you do.. Heather and Nik Cartlidge
I have nothing but praise for Bartons. The whole process so far has been very pleasant and easy. Very impressed with how they valued my property that I signed up straight away. Extremely happy with the photos and the selling process. All staff have been great. Can’t fault them one bit.
Brilliant at selling the property but faded into non existence when sold
