After a frustrating abortive sale due to the buyers pulling out I was guided to the modern method of auction sale through which the property successfully sold at first time of asking. Fully satisfied with the service provided and personable and helpful staff.

WARNING - DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY!

This is by far the worst agency I have ever used for property management in the past 30yrs as a landlord.
Unprofessional, untrustworthy, seriously, avoid this one, there are plenty more to choose.

Pretty hopeless to be honest. Reactive comms and last minute appointments when it suits them. If I was selling with, or renting from them and was happy to spend an inordinate amount of time chasing for basic things then this is the team for you. They will always find an excuse for things not being done. They will never contact you back even after promising that. Darcey is particularly difficult to get hold of and get to deliver on promises. Double check with the landlord directly to ensure requests have actually been made. I'm happy to discuss with your management team areas that I think you could improve on.

Joke Company, put in an application for a property, no contact, the staff are very unreliable and ignorant, these are very unprofessional, save your time and money and go with a different agengy.

Awful experience. We had rented property in dinnington and when we left we had carpets professional cleaned, repainted and made sure everything was spotless. When it came to inspection we marked for a few tiny stains on the carpet and oven was not the same as three years ago. Did not take into account wear and tear and had to argue to get deposit back, in the end 50 quid was agreed to be taken as we did not want the hassle of dealing with them through the dps. Just careful of this if you rent and felt like squeeze blood from stone to sort it.

Edited my 5* review given 17/11/17 which was given to reduce cost of fees by £50 as this was an offer advertised on their Facebook. As of 6/4/19 I feel this 1* is a much more accurate representation of what happened during my 15 month tenancy, and subsequent events also detailed below.

Upon signing contracts for the property 47 St Johns Road S25 1YL (while legally I can't say do not rent this property I can say I wouldn't live in it again rent free!! And I went as far as to report it to Environmental Health)

Agent agreed to have someone come and sweep the chimneys as it has 3 open fires, this never happened.
In addition the property had NO INVENTORY! My housemate and I reported repairs that were either never done, or bodge jobs. Several repeated visiting trades men informed me that the landlord doesnt like paying for work to be done!
They were also almost 30 days late with the gas safety check.
The property has no damp proofing but has a cellar kitchen, during heavy rain you get a river through the storage cellar and into your kitchen!
The agents are either malicious or incompetent. I've telephone calls, emails, and letters to and from several different office staff which show repeated attempts to breach our tenancy agreement including but not limited to:
- Attempting to change the inspection period.
-Attempting to change the notice period.
-Wanting to do the checkout inspection 14 days after key handover (ie end of the tenancy) but leaving us liable for the property in the mean time.

The tenancy ended and we handed over the keys on the 16th February. We were told 18th February there was no issue with the property and as there was no inventory that we would recieve the bond back.
However 1st Field never bothered to respond to the DPS to authorise the bonds return.
The office staff made a variety of excuses over the next month as to why they couldn't authorise the bond return including the Landlord being on holiday, the landlord having a family emergency etc and so was unable to inspect the property.
All of these excuses were irrelevant as the name on the DPS scheme was Aimee Palmer (a manager) and so final authorisation for DPS release lies with her.
Eventually we had to engage a solicitor (at further cost) to notify a standard declaration to allow the DPS to release the bond.
Today (6th April, 49 Days after the tenancy ended!), we have finally recieved notification that our bond will be returned.

Never have I dealt with such incompetence. Despite their claims that they are a professional company, my experience with them taught me otherwise. I wouldn't trust them to find their ar*e with both hands and an atlas, let alone run a letting agency!

Very good Independent estate agents. Couldn't fault Lisa and the first field team. Sold my house for me. Lisa was great. Nothing was ever a problem and always got back to me with the queries I had. Would highly recommend if you was thinking about selling your house. I try and recommend them as much as I can, because of the outstanding service I received off them. Also did a great rate for selling my house. 100% recommend. ????????
