Beresfords have been exceptionally professional throughout the whole process. They have notified me of each and every viewing via email and telephoned me with feedback from those viewings.
Because of the current financial climate, I initially received no offers. Subsequently, I followed their advice and reduced the price of the property. That resulted in a couple of offers, one of which I accepted, STC.
I cannot fault the estate agent. They have done what they said they would do. I would have preferred to have sold at the higher price but the volatile market has determined the value of the property, at this time. I have to accept that.

Very good estate agents, Matt was always incredibly helpful when it came to viewing the house as well as liaising between us and the seller. He was always available to help make the process as smooth as it could possibly be and very good at keeping us updated throughout the process.

My family and I purchased our house through Beresfords towards the end of 2022, moving in in December, in the snow!
Despite our search taking almost a year, Susie and Matt were always a great help and a pleasure to deal with.
Matt, in particular, had shown us round plenty of houses during our search. He is a pleasure to speak to, is always extremely helpful and professional, and goes above and beyond. We are extremely grateful for all his advice and assistance along the way.

Beresfords (Writtle) have been absolutely amazing throughout our buying journey - and it really has been a journey for us; encountering obstacles presented by Covid-19 to unpredictable changes in the housing market. One thing that has stayed constant throughout however, has been the support from the team at Beresfords. Although estate agents essentially work for the vendor, we always felt that we were valued as people; not just customers. From Matt Steane in particular, we consistently received prompt responses and honest answers. I am truly grateful to Matt for his integrity and decency throughout. We love our new house. We've spent 18 to 24 month searching for a new home to purchase. Missing out on several, having some not so great sellers to deal with, all of course being amplified by the current supply and demand challenges. However, on the day we met Susie and her team at Beresfords (Writtle), our fortunes changed...
The way the viewing was handled on the day was one of the best we've had. The great service didn't stop there. The negotiations, follow up and on going communication up to exchange of contracts has been exceptional. We've made friends for life at Beresfords and are looking forward to moving in to the house in the next 2 weeks!

Don't ever use these for surveying your property. They stated £10k worth of work, we paid £40k fix the issues lableled. We are now a further £130k, so £170 total so far on a property worth £340k according to them, in of rework on property and it still isn't fixed, possible £50k more at least. We had a homebuyer survey so you'd expect it be picked up. What a joke. Worthless survey and Nationwide support them. I'd say look elsewhere for mortgage and definitely don't use them for survey. The little lads room is probably the reason he has chest infection issues. Thank you for my 18 month old son needing a spray for his chest. No damp was picked up in the property, apparently.
