I really loved a property that Abbey Estates had on their books. I viewed it and immediately told them I was interested in renting it. However, my experience was very frustrating. I had to call every day for nearly a fortnight just to get any response, and each time I was told that Amir was not available to talk to me or that he was out of the office — yet decisions about the property were still being made. After two weeks of persistent follow-up, I was finally informed that the property had been given to someone else. It was a disappointing experience, and I felt ignored and undervalued as a potential tenant.

Awful! We rented from Abbey Estates for near on 5 years, not missing one payment, always kept the property clean and tidy, always reported any issues with the property to prevent causing any further damage; Abbey Estates even used photo's of our flat to advertise the one above us due to the difference in conditions.
After being example tenants for near on 5 years, we had requested to be moved onto a 1 month rolling contract (were in the process of buying a house). This was met with "12 months or nothing!". The contract clearly states that we were able to move onto a 1 month rolling contract once the term was over.
We were ultimately asked to leave the property even though Abbey Estates were well aware of my fiancé recovering from surgery.
Namir is a straight up bully. Once you're in, he simply does not care about you. You're just a number! Sue on the other hand is lovely and always been helpful, unfortunately anything substantial to do with property you will have to deal with Namir.
Sue is the only reason I am willing to give this review 1 star!
Avoid at any costs, unless you're cool with being treated like an unwelcome guest in the property you pay for.

Huge thanks to Namir and Sue - when I was in need of private rented accommodation they went above and beyond to help me out and provided me a lovely flat in a nice area for me and my daughter and whenever anything needed done they were on hand to help. Flat was in fantastic condition.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Abbey Estates in Bournemouth to anyone looking for accommodation.

Namir and Sue were excellent throughout our 2 year tenancy and we have no complaints at all. We had some issues with the sink in the kitchen and a PVC window, both times when we spoke with them it was sorted the next day. Good communication, professionalism and would highly recommend to anyone - many thanks and good luck for the future!

I wish I could leave lower than 1 star. Worst letting agency in Bournemouth. I wouldn’t bother even trying to get a property through them. They don’t update you properly when it comes to properties. You have to chase them up continuously. Honestly just mess you around and stress you out.

Abbey Estates were our agents while we rented a property in Winton for 9 years. They were friendly and helpful and always responded quickly with anything that needed doing.

Abbey Estates are liars, rude and unprofessional.
They lied to us on several occasions - they informed us the property would be professionally cleaned and certain issues would be fixed before we moved in. Neither were. They also breached the contract on several occasions including entering our premises without sufficient notice or us agreeing that it was okay. They seemed to think they can do what they want without any consequences.
We complained to them and they denied any liability so the case inevitably went to the ombudsman who upheld 2/3rds of our complaint (despite Abbey Estates trying to lie their way out of it to the ombudsman) and we were given a financial reimbursement from Abbey Estates but nowhere near enough to cover the costs that we incurred because of their actions.
This is, by far, the worst company me or my partner have ever dealt with. They are extremely unprofessional. Quick to take your money but then you're on your own after that.
Avoid using them at all costs.
Yes you have us in your records and yes we have the right company before you ask.

I have been renting with Abbey Estates for 14 years now. They have always been helpful and very professional. Repairs are done in good time. I also received support and prompt help when I had problems with noisy and unruly neighbours in the house next door. I would definitely recommend them.

Quite possibly the worst estate agent in the country. From the second they received our money till the second we got our (full) deposit back. I literally wouldn't even know where to begin. Namir and Sue were the most unhelpful, rude, condicending and arrogant people I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. I would honestly advise anyone to stay well away.

awful company, They wont care about you at all, we rent a flat an it was a nightmare, flat was fine, but everytime we had a problem they didnt care at all, you have to call them 20 times, send several emails, pop in but even then they are so irresponsible. They are always lying at you, they say one thing but then it is completely different, be careful with the hidding commissions. When we left the flat they tried to overcharge us some "works and cleaning done by a cleaning company, once we ask for the bills suddenly we neednt have to pay anything.
reply: not , I rent a flat through abbey estates Bournemouth, and everything that I said is true.I do not recommend to anyone this company.

From the very first time we met both NAMIR and SUE our experience has been nothing short of EXCEPTIONAL..... They have been both thoroughly professional and remarkably caring to assist us from a predicament we were unaccustomed to being in. I would and have recommended their services to everyone we could, we personally cannot thank them enough for going over and beyond what was expected. It is our intention to remain tenants of theirs as long as possible. Me and my family have been renting off abbey estates now for 3 years. We just renewed another 1 year contract. The property we rent is very clean and tidy. The building its self is maintained to a high standard. Gardeners and window cleaners coming round monthly. We have had no trouble with the office it's self. In fact the're great when there is an issue. For example the washing mashing broke once. I sent an email asking for it to be fixed. It was repaired free of charge within 24 hours. I highly recommend abbey estates to any of my friends and family.

Absolutely disgusting service. At first they acted friendly and genuine (when they were taking the money of course) so we paid the holding deposit £325. When it come to referencing we had to chase about as we being threatened if it wasn't in then we would loose the money, when I mentioned this on the phone I was told "so have we" sorry but isn't that what we pay you for. We then had to get a guarantor as we were out of the country for 6 months which wasn't a problem, as the guarantor was on holiday for 3 weeks they said they would email the forms for her to sign.... perfect. Once the forms were returned we were told the signature was fake and that our move in date would be put back for 5 days as the place needed painting Ummmm Excuse me.... After speaking to the manager on the phone he was very rude and said we would probably loose the £325 as the guarantor wouldn't be back by the time we moved in. The are an awful company and just after people holding deposit. NEVER DEAL WITH

Rented flat in Charminster Road for last 18 months.Teething issues at first getting few things sorted but once I pushed to get sorted everything was fine.Better then previous rental agents I have endured by far!

They don't return calls, and now having called 3 times (the last time being weeks ago, not on Friday like he claimed) about a lettings board they'e had up outside next door which has been occupied by the same tenants for at least 3 YEARS, the Manager was quite rude telling me they were working within the law. Not that it should have even been mentioned but I'm pretty sure it's not legal to rent out a flat and have their advertising board up permanently for years on end (which is the first thing i see when i look out my lounge or bedroom window), or very professional to ignore a small but valid neighbour request, but if it is then it's just not reasonable.
He also seemed to think it was OK because there is another company's lettings board up too (so?), however the other flat has had numerous tenants come and go in that time, and when I asked Slades to remove it following the latest occupancy they apologised that they had forgotten and removed it immediately.
Abbey Estates also asked me if i rented or owned my house - I don't know what that's got to do with anything.
I'm actually looking to rent my own house out later this year, I won't be giving my business to Abbey based on this.
Let's hope their board finally comes down this year....

From all the Letting Agents in Bournemouth I've contacted, Abbey Estates gave me the best service and had the better listings. I've actually had a small budget so I believe that's why I wasn't treated the best on the other letting agents. I will be always thankful.
