Aaron was very helpful, supportive and knowledgeable about the housing market in Ringwood. He made us selecting Gordon Barker, a very obvious choice.
The process from then on was pain free with regular updates, support and advice through the sales process from Roger & Stephanie.
I would have no hesitation in recommending them at all and hopefully will be able to use them again in the future for buying or selling a property.

We can’t fault Gordon Barker, they are by far the BEST agency we’ve been with and after almost 2 years, we’re genuinely really sad to have recently left them. We’ve rented from other companies in the past and have had nothing but trouble and game playing - Gordon Barker have always gone the extra mile in making sure we were happy - any little thing that needed attending to was dealt with promptly, fairly and professionally. Everyone we’ve ever spoken to from Gordon Barker have been lovely but especially Debbie, Darren and Aaron! Brilliant team. Found our first home through G&B, everything was super easy and just a pleasant experience, even though we had a few issues here and there with the bank Christian was a go to source of help, and kept us in constant communication - went out of his way to help us meet the banks requirements. Without a doubt, Gordon Barker is the best lettings agency I have been with during my time living in the south west. I rented a beautiful flat in Poole from them (possibly the nicest I have ever stayed in) and the entire process from start to finish was handled seamlessly, professionally and with such warmth. Moving can be a stressful process but Gordon Barker made each step of the way easy and clear with no bumps in the road. It is also worth noting that every single interaction I had with all of the staff was always incredibly pleasant and personable and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Highly recommended and I'm sad to be saying goodbye :)

So, where to start? 5 buyers and two years later, we finally made it over the line with the sale of our flat. Originally listed with another, quite frankly, useless agent, we changed to Gordon Barker. Their terrific team have been tenacious and supportive throughout this exhausting process. We were selling our property long distance, having already moved away, and Team GB have not only pushed the sale along, but have carried out property checks and meter readings, even arranging the re erection of fencing for us after a storm. None of the delays or hiccups have been their fault, and the humour and friendliness we have had through it all have kept us all going. They sold our property with a level of professionalism, dedication and genuine care that I honestly didn't think existed in the world of estate agents any more! Thanks guys, we wish you every success (sorry you've lost your parking space)!!

Moved to Bournemouth in 2019 and rented a fantastic flat through Gordon Barker. From start to finish they were nothing but professional. Very responsive to emails and to any minor issues that arose. They kept on top of essential safety checks and undertook quarterly property checks to assess the need for any maintenance.
Debbie in particular is very friendly and has been excellent to communicate with.
Nothing but praise for this letting agency and I would definitely recommend them to friends and family in the future.

We were naive landlords and initially thought a high profile company would be our best bet. How wrong can you be, they were all brochure and hopeless. I then googled for the top three agents in Bournemouth and Gordon Barker stood out as the best of the best.
We moved to them 4 years ago and cannot recommend them enough. The whole service was excellent value and reassuringly executed. We were not resident in Bournemouth therefore it was essential that any problems would be dealt with immediately to a high standard for a reasonable cost.
Debbie was always ahead of the game and her team represent her high standards. She is friendly, patient and approachable. Thank you Debbie for all your good advice and teaching us so much.

Best letting agency in the area! If we ever have to move again 100% we would stay with Gordon Barker. The whole team is just genuinely nice, we never had such a good experience with any other letting agency. We always only felt treated as annoying customers, while we feel like Gordon Barker just genuinely cares about their properties and the wellbeing of their tenants. We had their help from day 1 and while renting with them we always had any small or urgent issues dealt with very quickly by either the wonderful staff or really nice contractors. Debbie is always reliable, professional and caring, we also recently met Keiron under difficult unusual circumstances (a flood ):) and he just went the extra mile to help, while being friendly and professional. Thank you so much! Cannot recommend them enough!

Absolute disgrace. Been calling them all morning as they didn't send us the address we were viewing. So left early to try and find it.. then got a voicemail 30 mins before saying they had to cancel.. useless don't bother with them.. if they can't even make a viewing then they must be useless to rent from...
This is what happened in full... after response on here. And I emailed them as asked to do so in their reply... Guess what!! No reply to my email.
We came all the way from Blandford with 2 screaming kids in the back. So petrol money there and back for no reason. We tried calling the office all morning, have the call logs on our billing app to prove this. When we spoke to person on the phone who was meant to be meeting us he told us about the emergency and said he was the only person in the office and there was nothing he could do. Very rude to me and my girlfriend on the phone. How come you didn't let us know earlier. And if the emergency happened just before our viewing why wasn't there anybody in the office from 10am as your Web page states you open.
So from 10am until 11:30am the office was empty? Great company you got going on there. ???????????
In other words you've showed someone the flat! They've offered you a back hander and you've accepted it. Crooks too I guess

I don't think I could explain how far beyond my expectations Gordon Barker as a whole, but especially Debbie and her team, delivered for us, but I'll try. We rented through them for three and a half years and from first contact, they did everything they could to help us get in a position to qualify for our first time having our own place. From then on, they were friendly, quick to respond, helpful and honest. Despite a couple of mishaps when moving out, we received our full deposit back and I would have completely understood if we hadn't. If you're thinking of using or working with Gordon Barker and you're reading this review, rest assured; they are the perfect choice.

Estate Agents don't have the best reputation do they? Let Gordon Barker change your perception, they changed mine. Proactive, positive, driven, honest and friendly. Lots of other good words apply too. Give them a chance, buying or selling they should be first choice in Bournemouth. Ask for Zoe or Aaron, I'm positive you will not be disappointed!

Zoe, Christian and Aaron were all brilliant throughout the whole process of selling our house, but also the purchasing of our new house. Aaron went above and beyond, and even helped us with our forward purchase, he was always on hand 24/7 if we needed him for anything. A very modern day estate agents! Zoe is so lovely! Buying or selling during the pandemic is never easy. As first time buyers, we had many obstacles to overcome from lenders, even with a mortgage in principle.

Christian did a fantastic job helping chase parties in the chain and communicating with our buyer throughout the lockdown period. Unbelievably we ended up having our first child early on completion day and Gordon Barker went to extra mile to help us complete straight from the hospital. Exceptional service from the whole team and we cannot thank you all enough.

Gordon Barker sales were recommended to me after I received poor service from another estate agent in the area. Stephanie and Bradley were helpful and informative throughout the sale of my property. I never had to chase them for information, they always kept me up to date with what was going on with the sale. The first sale of my property fell through after the buyer let us down but Stephanie and Bradley got my property back on the market and quickly found a new buyer. Great service, very professional!

Yaay!!! I am chuffed, I just receive the keys to a property I am renting from Gordon Barker. Great location, affordable price and a great property. I am very pleased. From the first day I called to enquire about the property to date, Hannah dealt with my application process and was very hands on. Very professional and helpful, She responded to all my emails swiftly and she helped through out the process. Having had very bad experiences in the pass with Landlords and agents, Gordon Barker is a breath of fresh air. I hope this is the begining of greatness as I have no doubt in the staff at the office, Debbie and Bradley and everyone were great too. Thank you all for a great experience. We have just purchased a property through Gordon Barker. We found them an excellent company to buy through. During the initial & subsequent viewings, we dealt with Bradley who gave good advice and also came back to us when we asked questions that required information from the vendors. Once the sale was agreed, we worked mainly with Steph who again was excellent in obtaining information and advising how the sale was progressing. The other members of the team filled in when Steph or Bradley were not available so work as a genuine team. Would recommend them.

I have just moved to the area due to a new job and have let a property managed by Gordon Barker. The staff at Gordon Barker were flexible and made allowances for me as I didn’t live in the area previously to make moving into the property smooth and simple, I have also found Gordon Barker very professional and quick to react when I have had any queries or minor issues that needed resolving. I locked myself out of the property at 6:30pm on Friday during the airshow and once again Gordon Barker were quick to react and dropped everything to come and assist despite not being within business hours. I am pleased to say my experience has been very positive and I would have no problems recommending Gordon Barker!

Gordon Barker is the worst Estate and Letting Agents I have ever been in contact with. The customer support was appalling during my 1 year tenancy. They put NO effort into resolving our housing issues throughout the year when we repeatedly contacted them asking for improvements. Issues from the shower temperature suddenly not working, to slugs appearing in our living room.
The team also have extremely poor landlords that they will side with regardless of the issue. So if the landlord wants all your money for a reason you don't believe is valid, and you spend your time protesting your innocence, they will disregard everything.
A large bulk of our deposit was removed with no valid reasonings/proof of receipts. Lost 80% of our deposit, even when we left the house in a better condition than it initially was. They claim that they provided everything, but I received no emails throughout the end of my tenancy.
It's also a bit coincidental that as soon as my review appears, a load of 5 star reviews pop up.
It's a real shame that they had to be so volitile towards the end as I was really enjoying their service at the start. But towards the end, the service was extreamely negative.
If you're a student especially, I would stay away from this Estate Agency until you hear that they have improved and became more polite.

I rented with gordon barker for 3.5 years and found them to be excellent. They always acted professionally and resolved any/all issues fairly. In times where issues were delayed (due to inability to contact landlord) I was kept up to date and they even lent me their own personal heaters when my boiler broke! Thanks debbie Aaron and team for looking after me :)

By far the best estate agents I have ever rented through! From the moment I went for a property through Gordon Barker, I was impressed by how efficiently they met my needs. Quick to reference, efficient with email response and if EVER anything was ever needed with the property, they dealt with this quickly and effectively. If only all estate agents were as good as these guys! Really positive experience with them, I'd give more stars if I could.

I’ve used Gordon Barker lettings while relocating to Bournemouth both as a landlord and soon potentially as a tenant. Their local knowledge and associate contacts have been invaluable to us. The team have been hard working, diligent and nothing appears to be too much trouble. They master at taking on your challenges, untangling them and solving them before sending them on their way with a quick iron and a puff of fabric freshener..! Certainly made our property lettings life easier and very professional. Just superb and highly recommended.

Thank you to all of the staff at Gordon Barker, I have been a tenant with the company for about a year now and throughout this time they have been incredibly helpful. There has been a couple of small issues with the boiler and the widows, but I have always been so impressed with the speed at which our issues have been dealt with.
