I spoke to a letting agent at Abbott’s this morning regarding making an appointment to view a property managed by her. I had been waiting over two weeks to hear from her regarding this.

She had made no effort with in this time frame to keep me updated about the progress of this appointment.

When I enquired as to firstly why I had received no response in that time and why it was taking so long to make a simple appointment she was very rude, defensive and implied that I was being unreasonable and then actually hung up the phone.

In summary My experience of this letting agent is that they are highly inefficient with appalling customer service and communication skills. I was made to feel that I had done something wrong by enquiring about an appointment that I had asked to be made over two weeks ago.

I don’t think it is unreasonable to expect some sort of communication in that time even if it was not possible to actually pin point a date to view. They had access to my landline, mobile and email.

I would not recommend them to anyone.

This should not be confused with the sales team who were polite and as helpful as possible today.

Abbott’s countrywide Bury St Edmunds maintenance team never phone back when you’re told they will. Don’t reply to emails. Have left me in the dark regarding the repayment of my deposit for over 40 days with no sign as to whether there are any deductions. Absolutely useless.
I’d never rent through them again nor recommend anyone doing so.
During my tenancy it took over 3 months to send someone to check on a leak.
Took 36 days to repay my overpaid rent.
I don’t have a good word to say.
DONT RISK IT. There are much better estate agents!

Having been very disappointed with an online estate agent and their lack of any input in selling our property I was approached by Abbott's for them to take on the sale after inquiring about a property they were selling. Had offers after 2 weeks. We used their in-house mortgage adviser who also dealt with all of the other tedious goings-on with house sales. Great communication with the Bury St. Edmund's team. couldn't fault them and would highly recommend them.

As a first time buyer I had no idea about anything when it came to getting a mortgage. Everyone here was very helpful!

Dionne produced rapid results for me, she was also very passionate and exceedingly enthusiastic about landing me on the property ladder.

Dionne explained everything fully along the way and was always there for me if I ever needed any advice or help. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to buy first time or not.
