Just bought a property through Abbots and dealt with Stan primarily. 10/10 would recommend to anyone wanting to purchase through Abbots. Stan was so kind and patient throughout, was always honest about the process and if i was unsure about something, would always take the time to call and go through this in detail. I also felt that there was fantastic advocacy on my behalf with the seller, and really felt he had all my best interests at the core of the process. As a first time buyer, I never felt unsafe or unsure about anything throughout the entire process. Would 100% use and recommend time again if wanting to purchase/sell a property within the area. Could not have asked for a better agent and estate agent to deal with me. Thank you!!

I have recently bought a property through Abbotts in Stowmarket. Highly recommended! I mostly dealt with Stan who has been first class. An agent who is honest and gives a fair and balanced opinion. If he said he was going to do something, he did it, no chasing required! Having also dealt with other agents previously , I can honestly say they are the best agent in town.

I had a lot of trouble trying to book a viewing for somewhere through other estate agents originally, first call I made to Abbotts a viewing was sorted out for me which was fantastic. They kept me up to date with the process and made sure to chase relevant parties and were super friendly the whole time. Could not recommend more.

Worst Experience and service from Abbotts- Me and my Partner are very unhappy with the service we have received from the Abbotts Stowmarket branch. We firstly enquired about a leasehold property in April. We were quick to get a response from one of the estate agents and were promptly offered a viewing. Before the viewing the Estate agent said to us the property was restricted to people with relations to the mid-Suffolk area. We were told this should be fine. Almost straight away we were given Torc24's number to call. Torc24 were very helpful and I can’t fault them. We completed our assessment and affordability checks and were accepted in principle for the mortgage. Granted it took us a while to gather all of the required paperwork for the mortgage. I sent Abbots updates regularly out of courtesy to show that we were still very much interested in the property. When we finally got our paper work together and approved we were given an appointment with a mortgage advisor from Torc24. Abbotts were quick to contact us after ignoring all of my emails in between. We had our meeting with our mortgage advisor who approved us for the mortgage and processed all of our information ready to submit to the Leander. My bank details were also taken ready to withdraw money for the Mortgage advisor cost, Insurance policies, and mortgage. I was also told to find a solicitor asap. Late the following day I received a call from Abbots to say we are not eligible for the property as we have no relation to Mid-Suffolk and there was nothing they could do other than apologise. We understand that these things happen when searching for/ buying a house but we should have been made aware of this before the viewing let alone submitting a mortgage. The whole process has been very unprofessional and a complete waste of time with Abbotts and we won’t be using them again and warning others not to go with them.

I sold my property through the Ipswich branch and Sean, who is with the Stowmarket office, was working in Ipswich at the time and facilitated every viewing. Really pleased with the attentiveness and support offered for first time buyers at this branch. Mortgage advice was also top notch and really cleared up a lot of uncertainties.
In the end I found a house under a different estate agent so did not purchase one directly through Abbotts. However, the advice and service we received early on was invaluable. We will definitely keep this firm in mind if we ever need them in future.

I dealt with Abbotts between March and August,2022, selling my house in Stowmarket and purchasing my present home in Gretna, Dumfriesshire, Scotland.
Miss Macrow valued my house and, from the outset, I found her to be professional, knowledgeable and informative, and very pleasant in her approach.
Having secured the option on my Gretna house I was keen to get the deal done, was impatient to move, and increasingly so when I felt it was taking a long time to complete.
As a result, I was a very regular visitor to Abbotts and on every visit, Miss Macrow would calmly answer all my queries, make telephone calls if necessary explain everything and I would leave the office feeling relieved and reassured. In the event of her absence I found her two staff members to be polite and helpful on every occasion.
Many of the delays in the process were created by persons who were not part of the Abbotts team.
Looking back on the whole experience there is nothing at all that I could criticise and would say that Miss Macrow’s team of that time was a great credit to her and that she herself is a significant asset to Abbotts, Stowmarket.

We chose Abbotts after getting three agents for a valuation, based on Emily's enthusiasm and great personality as well as her commitment to the job. She came with thorough research and talked everything through with us.
The service throughout the sale of our home (of which was sold in a week or so!) was fantastic from start to finish.
Our solicitors weren't the quickest and we had more than a couple of changes with them, but Emily was so proactive and chased them on our behalf, she kept us updated and we felt confident with her the whole time.
Could not have asked for a better person to deal with our sale for us — and the rest of the team were also brilliant in keeping in touch with us and fulfilling their word too.

We had an appointment with Abbott’s this afternoon in regards to a valuation for selling our property in the coming months.
The appraisal manager who attended the appointment was Mr Simon Taylor, who arrived promptly on time for the arranged appointment. Simon was extremely professional, his friendly manner made him very personable and he brought with him a wealth of knowledge not only in regards to his knowledge of Abbott’s but also his experiences in the property profession as a whole.
Simon is a real credit to the company and this has helped us decide to instruct Abbott’s as our selling agent.
