I had the misfortune of renting a room from Andrew Hunt Estate agent or whatever other aliases they are using at present. The Lies started from the off as there was no wi-fi when I was informed there was, the other lodgers had said this had been the case for the previous 2 months and was for the first 6 weeks I was resident during lockdown. Not that the other lodgers were to bothered as this like a lot of the properties being let was used as a defacto halfway house with the other residents mainly coming from prison or the street after being released from prison . With no clear rules and little interest other than money from the Lettings agents I was in about 12 violent confrontations over my year there, it really was a case of having to fight your corner. Then there was the disrepair in which I compiled a non exhaustive list of 12 main faults to report to the agents. Obvious not used to residents sticking up for themselves I was faced with constant threats and abuse, to which I can proudly say I replied in kind. I hope it is obvious now I do not hold Andrew Hunt Estate Agents or their staff in high regard and my advicce would be avoid. The worse agency I have seen, Andrews hunt are the same with Gatwick Crawley rooms, running away from them. All the property from then are illegal and they don't have licence tho rent room's if you live in the property from them call to the Crawley borough council and report then, you can claim back your money, this call REPEYMENT ORDER. we have to stop them!... The worse agency I have seen, Andrews hunt are the same with Gatwick Crawley rooms, run away from them. All the property from then are illegal they don't pay tax or have licence tho rent room's if you live in the property from them call to the consul and report them, and you can claim your rent back this caled REPEYMENT ORDER. we have to stop them.... Google need to upgrade the review system so that companies can fall into a negative number if their reviews are so bad. I mean, I had to give one star but what I really mean is minus 10. C'est la vie. I am sure personally he is a lovely chap, but the haste, dishonesty and push for 'P' has made them rather bête noire. Not sure what was going on when the family and staff were arrested for suspected money laundering as per Crawley News Sept 5th, but I won't be taking my business to them again, so not a worry for me. This company is a total joke. Double room with bills included, yes just without couple of things: The electricity is going off ...they don't have time to top up... You'll need to put from your money if you wanna wash yourself, cook, watching TV or just have a coffee When you moving in they tell you is just one more person there ....but in maximum 2 days you fin out you'll need to share the apartment with another 4 adults In 4 mounts the shower was broken 2 times, the pipes from the washing machine two times. All the time when you ask the to come and fix or send someone else they just don't have time. And the last think, one guy from this company was just come to remove the heater from the rooms because is summer and they decide we don't need. Or keep lying they will be there in 2 hours...actually was take till next day They never answer the phone, consider yourself lucky if they answer on Facebook messager. And when you decide to leave them of course they don't give any reference. Don't declare this company like your last place you'll have a lot o headache... You'll need to prove with your contract and with your bank details.A horrible experience.... Read more

Carolyne and Andrew Hunt are rip off merchants parading themselves as reputable property agents. Google their Companies House reports and see for yourself how many times they dissolve businesses and open new ones. You should also read the Daily Mail report on Andrew Hunt and view the Facebook page called Collecting evidence against Andrew Hunt and Gatwick and Crawley Rooms Ltd. They advertise decent properties for rent and then give people the keys for dumps which aren't fit for habitation. They don't provide any paperwork and the word 'refund' is absent from their vocabulary. Intelligent individuals would recognise that poor reviews cost them a whole lot more than refunding money. Oh and please don’t bother to suggest I have the wrong company as you normally do in the face of a bad review... it’s pathetic.... Read more

This is quite an amusing thing. I rented an apartment through these guys several years ago. It was a nightmarish experience, including poor maintenance and extraordinary rent hikes, concluding when they tried to increase my rent by almost 20% after I complained too much. At times they said that they owned the property themselves, at times it was owned by an external landlord… very strange indeed. Of course, getting back my security deposit was a dogfight. Some time after that they went into national news for some inappropriate treatment of a tenant, and their google ratings were so low… Now all their old comments have been erased, and they have >10 really positive reviews which, strangely, were posted AT THE SAME TIME. The funniest thing is that they replied to someone who posted a negative review that they only deal with house selling, and that probably he was mistaking them for another agency… oh my LOL. My recommendation to all the good people of Crawley would be to stay away from ANDREW HUNT.... Read more

After dealing with a few agents in Crawley I was so relieved to find an agent that was caring and eager to help me. I had a house to sell and was on the hunt for my next purchased and with the help of Andrew Hunt estate agents I managed to sell my property and obtain just under asking price and found my new dream home which I’m loving and the process was sped up so I was in there before Christmas which was lovely! Foul mouth company.. they rob money from genuine people who seek help. Caroline hunt the manager sends messages to their staff calling their tennants every name under the sun. Don't know how they are still running as a business. Please google andrew hunt on the daily mail and the sun for proof. Got my deposit 3 months after leaving the property, and after having begged 10 times for it, as always the answer was “ yes it is coming today” . Off course the deposit was not fully refunded as some 100£ cleaning fees were being taken... not justified at all. I put one star because we can’t give less. Shocking response when contacted them about tenants next door not putting their rubbish out for 4 weeks. They denied all knowledge of anything to do with letting, I called their bluff when I pointed out the name of the director was the same name as the iPhone being used to correspond with me on email. He then said it was his wife's company. Why he couldn't have just said he would forward on my issues instead of denying all knowledge of his wife's company (that he is administrator for according to Company's House) I have no idea. Really bad experience. First of all, we payed the deposit and one month for one room, but they changed our room for other room with out notice to us, so we had to wait one week month for having the room that we payed for. We left the room in perfect conditions and we gave notice that we were going to lift the room with one month before. They didn't give me bag all my deposit, only 295£, instead 570£. We went to speak with the property and they tolk us that they gave us all the deposit. They stole my money and I don't recommend to you to rent flats in this property.... Read more

I should clarify before I write this review that prior to purchasing a house through Andrew Hunt I had no prior experience of them and have no affiliation with them whatsoever..! Have to admit to being surprised by previous reviews as this is not the Estate Agency that I've encountered, in fact quite the opposite: - My phone calls have always been returned and usually very quickly - I've found the team there (I dealt predominantly with Andrew & Julie) to be very helpful, open and willing to support where possible Overall I've been pleasantly surprised by the process and although we're having a couple of minor challenges with the house we've purchased Julie and Andrew have been on-hand to support us even though the sale process is complete.... Then was told the seller still hasn't got back to them! They will ring me when they do. Anyway rang again few days later sorry it's sold. Did not bother getting back to me and the lies unbelievable. This agency is an absolute rip-off, the worst experience I ever came across with. Here is why : First the house advertised on the website was not at the pretended place, but 6 kms apart. The lady at the office barely answered at our emails. We move into the house with 4 of my friends and we had to clean it up ourselves when we arrived. But the worst part of it is that we each payed a deposit of 550£. And at the end of the stay we had to wait one month and a half before getting it back, because apparently the person charged to refund the deposit was 'on holidays' ... and finally we didn't even had our full deposit back, we got only 385£ back because: - Apparently there was a check out fee of ... 60£ (they didn't tell us that at the check in and also not written in the contract). - They told us that the room was not left clean and the bedding was not put back on the bed (50£ fee) although we all made a big effort and we gave our room back way cleaner than we found it. - There was an International transfer payment to refund the deposit of 25£, even though I payed with a UK Barclays card, so go find out why.. And if you add everything up (135£) you will see that there is 30£ left ... and we never got it back ... We are seriously thinking about getting a lawyer for that matter.... Read more

The property I moved into wasn't even the one originally advertised that I enquired about. I have no idea where the photos and details of that property came from that I wanted, and neither did the estate agent! He just said that air b n b was a difficult app to use hence why it was a completely different house and postcode(?!?) I then Signed for a house with "working professionals" they were not working professionals. It was a polish family- some of whom weren't even working!! Absolutely shocked. Fortunately my work contract changed and I only just got my suitcase through the door before leaving again and seeking a refund. I was given £160 of the £280 I paid and told the decision lay with Andrew and his wife with the remaining money. No word to this day of the £120 other than rude emails from Andrew himself saying he had no dealings with rental properties (even though it's his name above the door!) the most unprofessional estate agents I have come across. Beware house shares with this company. I was consistently lied to. Proof in air b n b photos and emails. Reporting to trading standards.... Read more

Andrew Hunt have proven themselves to be extremely unprofessional and unorganised. The lettings team were often very difficult to get in contact with and regularly failed to return calls or emails, they also failed to inform our landlord of the fact we had given our notice, this resulted in a lengthy dispute which is on going. We had to terminate our agreement with Andrew Hunt Estate Agents as they were significantly in arrears in passing on tenant rents to us. This resulted in us unearthing other questionable practices. In the end we had to result to the court system, where we successfully achieved a judgement against them. I would advise any landlord to think twice, if not three times, before considering using them. For us it has been a very painful experience! As at the date of writing this review, more than 12 months since we terminated our agreement with Andrew Hunt Estate Agents, our dispute is still not fully resolved.... Read more
