I have used Connells 2x times. When purchasing 5 years ago, and when selling, few weeks ago. I would highly recommend this estate agents. They were responsive and always ready to help. Personal thanks to Doug, without him this process would take ages, he managed to influence solicitors and helped us all the way to the end. Definitely would use this agents again.

Thank you Connells Crawley for all your help during my sale process.
From the initial contatct I experienced nothing short of professionalism, dedication, expertise and knowledge from all people I came into contact with.
They found me a buyer within 5 days from taking on my property. When this sale failed (because of my solicitors), they found another buyer withing 8 hours from the previous buyer's withdrawal!
During the entire process they have been very supportive and nothing was too much to ask. They have done more than my own solicitors, and I'm sure without Doug and his colleagues I wouldn't be a happy owner of a new property.
Connells is more than an estate agent, they really care about their clients, and do everything humanly possible to help you out.
I would recommend Connells to everyone who is thinking of selling the property. These guys really know and understand how this business works.

What an AWESOME experience from start to finish.

I wish I could give ZERO star for the service which they provide to everyone. Starting from the manager who is extremely rude as of he is providing the accommodation for free and then Shennay, Lilly, Nikita and another guy I forgot his name. They just don't care what you are going through and I don't understand why it ages for them just to complete their work.

We put our property on with Connells Crawley at the end of October. Didn’t realise the contract is for 26 weeks. The company have made no effort despite me calling them requesting more frequent updates. Told me the market is really quiet, contradictory to what other agents report. Disappointed by thier lack of effort, they don’t appear to really care. Shame as liked the sales pitch but unreliable and as soon as we can we will end our contract with them

AVOID AT ALL COST!!! Connells Estate Agency in Crawley became has never been the best agency, but became the absolute worst since the branch was taken over by Loren Rayner - Loren is the most incompetent, unprofessional, lying, ignorant and negligent creature you have/will ever meet, she i lacking any manners whatsoever. Avoid the agency, their mortgage advisors and solicitors at all cost - the same traits applied to all of them -- they make loads of mistakes, lie straight to your face, delay everything that can be delayed, wouldn't answer your e-mail and phone calls, and simply will screw up you deal just before the completion date.
I am reporting them to Ombudsman!
AVOID AT ALL COST!

This must be the worst and most unprofessional estate agent in Crawley and if not in the UK.
As a portfolio landlord for many years we had one of our tenants dealing with this company and their recommended lawyer for purchasing a property, we have never experienced or heard of such unprofessional company and behaviour of the current branch manager in all the years we been in the business.
They have let our tenant down, which has had a snowball effect on our new tenants.
They have completely failed in communicating with their buyer, so has their recommended legal company and this has now resulted in the seller finding a new buyer despite Connells having incorrect contact phone information for our tenant and didn’t reach out by email, also the recommended solicitor also failed by acting in good faith on behalf of the buyer who had the offer accepted in March and we are now in August.
Our tenant went to the estate agent branch to complain and was told to leave the shop and she is no longer buying the flat.
So if you are a seller or a buyer we would highly recommend to stay away from this extremely unprofessional Connells branch.

Very disappointing service I should go elsewhere if you require a professional service and staff with communication skills .
My daughter (a professional) found a studio flat she wished to rent in Zurich House Crawley.
I received a call from her requesting I be guarantor for her which I agreed I understand the person I needed to speak with was Chris, I left a message however he did not return my call .
My daughter keen to push forward managed to get an appointment for a viewing which she attended today with Chris.
She loved the property and told she would be able to move in on June 13th she was elated and keen to get the paperwork sorted so called the Horsham office and spoke with Ben.
Ben informed my daughter the property had already been let and a deposit paid .
My daughter was very upset at this as she had taken time off work for this viewing .
On calling Chris to enquire if this was true his response was yer it's not my problem , this is how it works ?
Is that so ?
I can only say I'm grateful the staff I employ to do not share this attitude absolutely disgusting .
Thank you for the warning as I wouldn't want my daughter living in a property run by agents with this attitude .

The staff at Connells are seemingly incapable of communicating with each other, let alone with the buyer and seller. We felt completely in the dark and would hear one thing from Alex and then a completely different thing from Neill two days later.
In the painful seven months we had to deal with Connells, we did not receive a single unprompted call back that wasn't predicated by days of chasing and leaving messages, leading to delays that pushed us dangerously close to the edge of our mortgage offer expiry date.
A frustrating experience to say the least, and one I wouldn't wish on anyone else, hence the public review.

As a Canadian expat buying my first home, I thought I would have to jump through hoops to find a mortgage. But Laurence Spencer-Butler and the team at Connells walked me through step by step and managed all of the annoying bureaucracy.
I cannot recommend this branch more. I had prepared myself for a difficult 3 months arranging my mortgage and moving, but hiring Laurence has made it so easy and smooth. He took his time and has been so patient with all my repetitive questions - I know for a fact he has my best interests at heart. Don’t even think about going anywhere else!

Hi,
I've had an appointment for a house viewing in Crawley with Olivia.
The appointment was for 17:30.
I got there at 17:15.
At 17:45 after no one showing up I rang the office and spoke to an employee. He suggested to try knocking on the door and after doing that the tennant answered saying that he got a message and the viewing got cancelled.
We did not have a cancellation message.
All of this was done with the employee in the office on the phone.
The person in the office asked me to wait 'till he contacts the agent.
I waited till 18:00 while trying to call your office again.
After 10 calls the call got picked up and hung up immediately.
This is my first contact with Connells and am completely disappointed with their services as the viewing was a waste of time for miself and my wife.
This was not what I expected from such a well known and established company as this.
Complete lack of professionalism and business manner.

It was clear from the start that understanding our needs was part of their work. It was perhaps more starkly clear how good they are as I had met an agent from another company a few days previously. It was therefore a breath of fresh air that Connells were informed, clearly took ownership of queries, and were working to envisage us in the property and how this would or would not work, rather than resorting to smiles and comments about the 'potential' of the property.
They have been, throughout, most understanding, patient and approachable - that alone makes all the difference in this stressful endeavour.

Truly the worst estate agents I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Long story short, decided to rent a property through Conells. Was constantly messed around by the branch, to the point that on moving in day, I was told I could no longer move in. This lead to 2 weeks in hotels (costing hundreds of pounds) and eventually the house falling through. The staff are rude and unhelpful, it seems like they will do anything to make the process as hard as possible. This is not only the worst estate agents, but the worst company I have ever had to deal with. Made a long complaint to head office and was told they would do nothing. Atrocious service and hundreds of pounds out of pocket. Use ANY other estate agents but these. For rentals, Swan Property Management is down the road and infinitely more professional.

We tried to buy a property with Connells Crawley branch. After putting in an offer of the asking price, Connells tried to force us into taking a mortgage with them, which we refused. Connells then prevented our attending their office to show our financial viability, which we subsequently emailed to them. We were told the seller accepted our offer, we just needed to prove financial viability. The day before the appointment Connells called to say the seller wanted to sell to their cousin and we had to wait five days to see if the cousin could get a mortgage. We suspected this was a LIE and contacted the seller who confirmed their cousin was not buying the property. The seller called Connells who confirmed they LIED to us. Another offer was made and accepted 13 days after our formal offer, which after speaking to the seller we realise was not put forward in the appropriate manner. Do not trust Connells, they are only interested in selling mortgages and will tell devious lies to do so. Sellers beware, Connells may be less than truthful to persuade you to accept an offer just because the buyer is getting their mortgage.
