We can't recommend Chris and the team highly enough!!! In a very long property search we've dealt with a number of different local estate agents and they are by far the best.
Everyone was extremely helpful and responsive, always on hand to answer any questions we had and kept us informed throughout.
Chris even stepped in to help setup a completion date for all parties involved when things had gone quiet with the solicitors.
If we ever choose to sell our house, we'll be going straight to them to market it. Thanks for helping make a difficult and stressful process so simple!

I would like to thank Chris for all his hard work throughout our house purchase, although we were the buyers, they were still highly committed to making sure our experience was as smooth and stress free as possible, going above and beyond to answer my endless questions and find solutions to any obstacles along the way, even after completion day.
On top of all this, we were given a beautiful hamper and "new home" picture collage which was such a lovely touch, we really felt touched by this and for all these reasons, we would absolutely 100% recommend to anyone looking to sell or buy, and will be using them in the future...that being said, we are so in love with our beautiful home that we know this won't be any time soon! Chris has been fantastic through out the process of purchasing our new home. From meeting him at our first viewing he was friendly and professional, extremely knowledgable and could answer any of our questions straight away. When we submitted an offer on the property via email at closing time he contacted the sellers and got back to us straight away albeit out of office hours. He then proceeded to do more than his job like finding out details of our chain that our agent should have known (but didn't) to keep us and the sellers up to date with the process. Any extra questions i have had he has been contactable straight away or has returned my call within the hour. We used Athertons to sell our late parents bungalow in Oakdale. Chris was professional and thorough from the start to completion. He was pro active in finding potential purchasers and kept us both informed , answering any questions promptly. and liaised with solicitors to keep the chain moving. He set up a what’s appn group and kept us updated and informed of progress which was an effective communication channel for us and we really appreciated .

Inheriting a house is a significant event, especially when the house has been a part of the family for over 60 years. This was the case for my husband and I following the death of his parents. The attachment we felt to the house was deep, filled with memories and sentiments. However, after much deliberation, we decided to sell our house in Bournemouth.
The journey began with the search for the right estate agent. We met a few, but among them, Chris from Athertons stood out. His approach made us feel more comfortable and at ease compared to the others. This led us to choose Athertons for the sale of our beloved family home.
Over the course of a year, we had several meetings with Chris, seeking his advice on what needed to be done to get the house market-ready. We had already started some redecorating and renovations but were unsure about what was essential, what would be nice to have, and what was not necessary. Chris's guidance was invaluable; he helped us focus on the essentials and the nice-to-haves, which made the decision-making process much clearer.
Although it took quite some time from our first meeting with Chris to finally putting the house on the market, we eventually reached that point. The house was listed around Easter, and within the first few days, we received 4 or 5 offers. The initial phase of selling was rapid, and we were hopeful. However, the house sale fell through the first time, which was disappointing.
Chris's proactive and responsive nature shone through as he promptly contacted the second buyer who had made an offer initially. They were still interested, and we restarted the process with them. Unfortunately, our buyer's chain fell through twice, causing further delays. Despite these setbacks, we are now back on track and hopeful to finalise the sale soon.
Throughout this entire process, Chris has been remarkable. His hard work, knowledge about the private house market, and trustworthiness have been evident from the start. His support never wavered, regardless of the numerous hurdles we faced, and for that, we are profoundly grateful. If we had another house to sell, we would undoubtedly use Chris's services again.
This journey of selling our family home has been filled with ups and downs, but with the steadfast support of Chris, we navigated through it. We are now looking forward to closing this chapter and moving forward with our lives, carrying the cherished memories of the house with us.

Chris was great throughout the process. The video and images taken of the property were to a high standard which I felt helped create traction and further viewings on the property. Chris was always quick to feedback on how a viewing went and I always felt that he cared for the outcome for me as a client.

As someone who has both bought and sold many properties over the years, I have (like most people) acquired a genuine distrust of estate agents. However, Chris at Athertons in Poole seems to be the exception to that rule. Unlike most estate agents, Chris actually listens, tells it like it is (whilst still being polite and respectful), replies to messages, returns phone calls (even late into the evening and weekends), and actually works with you to reach the desired outcome. He also works tirelessly behind the scenes ensuring the sale progresses and resolves issues and problems as he encounters them, keeping you updated along the way. Chris is the only estate agent that I have managed to build a good working relationship with, and if you are prepared to listen offers good advice on both the sale on onward purchases. To sum up, if you want an estate agent that gets the job done without the waffle and false promises then he is the man for you. I would quite honestly recommend him to anyone and would use him again in a heartbeat. I would give him more stars if I could.
